    Great video. Wife and I are considering a UTV for our hunting camp and giving our old quad to one of the kids. I honestly didn't even know Cub made a UTV! and at this price point and all those features, this really looks like a winner!

    Think twice before you narrow your choices to Cub Cadet. I had a 2015 it was full of gremlins a few were fixed but not all. I traded it in on a 2017, a few gremlins from the start but nothing serious, now with 2000 km on it , it is running like a bag of S#!%. My service center has no idea what is wrong, Cub Cadet head service people also do not have a clue what is happening. The only positive for the unit is pricing and the options that come standard for the price.
    I would like to know your thoughts on this after a year of ownership?

    I am currently having operational issues with my 550 Cub Cadet Challenger. It is currently located at a Cub Cadet Dealer unable to repair. I am seeking the Regional Rep of Michigan to assist me.

      Mid teens if you are lucky, they're not fuel efficient they're work vehicles, just like every other toy on the market they're toys, not economy vehicles LOL. I had a Yamaha Rhino 700 4x4 and it would do 15mpg if i was lucky.

  • @wildbill23c

    This is the UTV I want actually. Due to the standard features and the price point. I like that the front and rear differential lockers are selectable, many other brands aren't selectable, and some are only limited slip. Tons of standard features, and not much else to purchase to have a full cab.
    I had a 2011 Yamaha Rhino, on trails it was great, for utility purposes it sucked due to the locked rear differential, it would destroy your yard as a result. The locker in the front didn't work right, it acted more like a limited slip if it worked at all. Wasn't impressed, sadly. Was really happy to see it leave the property.
    The street legal stuff it has is also a huge plus for me as I can register a UTV for use on the road, and where my property is located I can hit a irrigation canal road about 1/2 a mile from my house and hit a back road and go right up into the hills...its an awesome ride, used to do it almost daily with my Rhino several years ago. Nice and relaxing just to jump in the UTV and go out for a ride.

    It's not a bad machine, but the thing is all the other brands like, Polaris, Honda, Can am, etc. Have there own share of vehicles that work even harder than this, I could buy a ranger 570 for around the same price as this but have better specs, it tows more, holds more in the box, and I just prefer the bigger brands. Don't get me wrong, it sounds really nice, I like how it's closed cab as a base option, but idk

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 4 роки тому +1

      Till it breaks down constantly LOL. Everyone has them, most hate them after they've had them and dealt with many issues sadly...you'd think in what 20+ years of making toys Polaris would have it figured out by now...then again when you are pushing a 1L engine in a toy with under-sized components, which I think is due to trying to share parts with other models but with all the power you end up breaking stuff it seems.

    • @aceofspades9785
      @aceofspades9785 3 роки тому +1

      Not for what I need it for...my boss’s son owns a Polaris dealership and he recommended the cub cadet for me...100% the right move...my buddy bought a ranger around the same time...he’s up to $21,000 already with just a few add ons that my cub came standard with...and he’s got a few thousand more to go to be on par with the cub...I added side windows...rear window and rear bumper...light bar...rock sliders and price was just under $16,000...had it 2 years now and run it hard...really hard for both work and play!!!

    How good can it really be, it''s a Cub Cadet. Cub Cadet screams MTD junk.

    • @AMatt416
      @AMatt416 4 роки тому +1

      They've actually spread out from MTD in recent years. MTD still owns them but more as just a financial parent. This as well as most of their newer designed mowers are cub cadet exclusive. They have also purchased a Chinese engine company and produce their own line of engines now.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 4 роки тому +1

      Its built by Hisun, a ATV/UTV maker that copied the old Yamaha Rhino UTV's several years ago, they make pretty good units actually. The Cub Cadet Challenger has some great standard features included in the initial purchase price that no other UTV maker has like a winch, 1/2 doors, mirrors, all other UTV makers charge you extra on top of the ridiculous price for the toy.

    • @ryangreenley4818
      @ryangreenley4818 3 роки тому

      Cub doesn't have their own engines, they are powermore with a cub label, the mowers really aren't cub exclusive either. Anything yellow can be had in red, black, craftsman red etc.
