FONDANT OR GUM PASTE?
I use BOTH Fondant and Gum Paste for very different reasons.
Fondant (or Sugar Paste) is used to cover a cake.

Thank you for this video! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking to do for Memorial Day! Are you able to store the fondant in the refrigerator without it getting too wet?
Yes- but! As long as your fridge is low humidity. Also watch the temp when you take it out of the fridge. If it’s a hot day, condensation will form regardless of how dry your fridge is. In those cases, I recommend storing it somewhere as cool as possible but not the fridge- like a basement a cooler room in your house. But even that depends on how long you have between making it and using it., plus what fillings you use. If you aren’t using it the next day or have a soft filling, go with the fridge anyway. If you find it starts getting sweaty, with this cake you can carefully and gently blot the bigger spots with a paper towel. Good luck!
