To Unlock Ex characters:
Gotta beat story mode with said character. Or have 100 hours and they'll be all unlocked. Or go to network mode and host a private lobby with ex characters enabled. Then press confirm on your self in the lobby to go into training mode. It'll work there

Some things that weren't mention in the video, in general EX Johnny is a combo monster, he has fairly easy coin loops on standing opponents that do aggregious amounts of damage and build a lot of bar. He's generally gonna kill in two good hits. He even has Tods against average defense characters. His j.H was changed to his GGX j.H, he only gets horizontal coin, and ofc he doesn't have Bacchus Sigh. Generally one of the strong EX characters just because of his potential to end games off one interaction, and it's not hard for him to reach that goal like Slayer or Pot.
Wish i knew how to combo with him
@@LucidButtonMasher it's pretty simple once you're used to it, easy one is S > H > Coin > Forward Dash, loop that until you're in the corner, run out of coins, or build up a super.
I found it works good on certain characters like ky but may was so tiny coin wouldn't combo

I'm not expert but I want to say EX Johnny's dash is a leftover made from original Robo-Kys dash mechanic. Have very similar speed and momentum carrying mechanics.
Interesting. Pretty much everyone has momentum but it does seem more for him
@@LucidButtonMasher Yep. Doesn't do much for OG Robo-Ky since he has no ground combo game besides 6P into C.S into Impala Hunt or 5P/2P 5 times but since it's on Johnny, it's insane for him.

@@LucidButtonMasher It is. I got a few videos on old Robo-Ky but you really don't grasp the full surrealness of it all until you actually use him from GGX+ and GGX2: The Midnight Carnival.

Fair, it's usually the clips that are too short. I have text for the entirety of every clip i just don't like to have a lot of dead time at the end of clips so that's my bad

Im starting to notice that many of the moves of ex are base Xrd and Strive moves,either animations,how combos work,etc, it feels weird

@@LucidButtonMasher In all honesty, she lost her card charging system where getting a card allow her to chain kick special to another kick special. That is the only way Jam can spend her card. Her parry got buffed to hell though as I forgot to mention.
