So refreshing to watch a video from someone who actually cares about the game and not have their only UA-cam content complaining and whining all the time, I won't name names but it rhymes with Schmoetoxx.
Ryan, you ARE the face of RuneScape 3 when it comes to content creators. You didn’t give up on RS3 and run away to other games like every other creator and your genuine excitement is wholesome and amazing for the future of this game! Someone PLEASE Immortalize this guy into the game somehow!!
He's also not tied to RS3's Jagex department like the rest of the content creators. He would lose a lot more "face" by jumping. Not to mention he's the biggest regular streamer. Not the cleanest comparison

Thanks ryan for being an optimistic RuneScape creator. I see a bunch of other ytubers just whining about lack of content. But they dont realize how much blood/sweat/tears they have to commit to create such content. Keep it up ryan! Thanks for all you do!

I mean I don't think it's *entirely* unreasonable. There's a time and a place for optimism, and a time and a place for making your displeasure known. There's no more point pretending everything is sunshine and rainbows, than there is that it's all doom and gloom. That said, can't really deny that one of those is definitely a less saturated market currently lol
They're telling the truth on some of these other channels though. Who wants all mtx nonsense and then only seasonals that's lame. Thankfully those who "whined" most likely got jagex to open their eyes to rs3 problems.
@@urekmazino6800 I feel there's a difference between criticizing what needs fixing and being all doom and gloom about it. It's quite depressing entering a stream and hearing nonstop complaining, just a turn off.

regular ironman can already loot share so theres really no point. pointless game mode in a pointless game. gim doesn't change anything major at all.
back in the day i asked my best friend if they add group ironman would he play it with me and he said yes shortly after that the project got shelfed. i showed him the road map today and his reaction was "?" showed close up of group ironman "god dammit.... fine...."
That 'god damn it, fine' got me so well cuz that is 100% something my best friend would do. 0 expectation of that coming to reality, and it finally does makes him eat those words lmao
I gave on up on the idea of group ironman ever existing. I was beyond surprised when seeing it on the road map
This is precisely what they needed to release earlier in the year. Even if dates were not finalised, this would have prevented 3-4 months of tired, disappointed Runescape players.
Here is where you're wrong: Runescape players on the whole just flat out refuse to be happy.
If they'd come out with it at the beginning of the year people would have just complained about necro getting buffed.
It's an endless loop of whiny entitled bullshit that sucks to watch.

@@25Dzone I like the idea of not giving us a roadmap until they are CERTAIN the content is going to be released. Being told something is coming just to see it shelved (which has happened multiple times in the past) is incredibly disheartening. I'd rather wait 3-4 months for a solid road map, than be told we're getting something we aren't. Avatar Refresh anyone?
Personally never liked or even planned to play GIM, but damn, I love that its releasing and the content galore we will be getting. Progress videos are pretty rare on rs3 since... everyones kinda done you know? But now we will get dozens of creators doing osrs style progress videos which could genuinely reinvigorate the entire rs3 youtube space.
also ive been enjoying the vod channel, but the inability to see chat is actually such a vibe killer, not at all the same experience, id love to have chat on screen for vods.
I wonder if there's a way to do that, will look into it.
@@TheRSGuy My initial idea is either have it on screen during stream over the top empty space above your face cam, or maybe try and have the editor implant it over your ingame chat box?
GIM saves everything for me.

It’s the same as normal ironman though. Expect you can have other grind for you to reap benefits

Will be very interesting to see all the new people streaming and playing it however curious if the same thing will happen like FSW did where Jagex hired 15 non-playing RS to help promote the game style BUT this time give the free membership to RS content creators as they will continue to play the game even after 10 days of playing the new gamemode.
Would be really cool if some of the old school creators get in on group iron as well
Yeah the ones that have never touched RS3? Similar to how we had quite a lot of creators jump into GIM on osrs?

Feels like a true return to form. Looking forward to all the content this year. Gotta wrap up my current ironman to get ready to start again in the fall.

First time I've felt excited and considered logging into my iron in like 6 months tbh, excited to see where this all goes. I really loved croesus, but most of the people I play with don't, and or don't even play anymore. So I'm glad to hear that the new skilling boss will have a solo option too.

Kind of crazy that it takes someone from the OSRS team to really put things into gear.
I'm really happy to see this even as I feel irl is eating up my RS enthusiasm. :)
I don't think I can settle on one favorite, the thing that makes me the most happy is that as a whole the roadmap just looks so full and lively, and with variety too!
Quit over hero pass and the necromancy being 100000x better than the other 3 styles problem, this roadmap has got me very tempted to come back. Im apprehensive though because the trend so far has been: stellar, enjoyable content > build player goodwill > immediately try to screw us super hard > months of no/bad content > "we hear you" style announcement > repeat.
I desperately want to come back to my rs3 iron, but also have been having fun back on OSRS. Will probably try to play both for a while and see how these updates pan out.
This^^ I’m just waiting for the company to actually focus on content over mtx before I resubscribe. There is tons of content in RuneScape but they need to rally players. Not pointless xp grabs. PvP mini games need to exist. Even if it’s using nerfed mini game armor and weps. Player to player competition is ESSENTIAL
I resonate with this comment so hard. This roadmap is definitely a step in the right direction but I've been kicked in the nuts so many times that I'm highly skeptical.
I hope the woodcutting and fletching update is a little similar to mining and smithing. M&S really feels so much more enjoyable to do since it stands out so much from the other gathering and artisan skills, would be awesome to see WC and Fletch get something unique to them as well.
A bunch of my friends said they would come back if there was GIM, it's almost time to kick it back to middle school!

I'm glad they're back moving in a good direction. It was looking pretty grim for a while there. Hopefully they can make the remainder of the year great.
part of the shift on MTX is probably the touch of the OSRS team and recoil of the Heropass debacle.
I've been wanting a GIM since before OSRS got theirs. This is such incredible news! I haven't felt so excited for RS3 updates in a very long time, and that includes Necromancy!
Knowing from OSRS, skilling boss content is insanely popular.
This is a right choice.
I completely agree this has got me excited for the rest of the year for RuneScape. I truly hope they stick to their guns on the being consistent with the updates.
One specific thing I haven't heard anyone talk about is in the survey it mentions several times allowing a runelite type of deal for RS3. I have no idea how that would be implemented or done, but THAT specifically would make me even more head over heels for RS3.
Im glad we have an oldschool producer working on the rs3 team! Old school has had some of the best content releases in the current years. One update im dissappointed wasnt in the roadmap that OS has is a unified Collection log. So much of the community wants this. Hopefully it will be something they add in the future.
I am curious to see how GIM will be. I will wait until closer to its release to see if it interests me or not.
But overall, great roadmap from Jagex!

I’m going to be honest I’m super excited for the new skilling content, especially as a skiller. I just wish that I had a method of high intensity skilling that was over 100m an hour. But we shall see :)
I'm glad you're excited for this as an RS3 Content Creator, I look forward to the content, but a "roadmap" released half way through the year, including not one, not two, not three, but FOUR different seasonal events (for half a year remember) as major feature updates doesn't make me excited. I don't care about seasonal events, they are mostly just excuses to sell a new set of Season MTX promotions.
I'm not just trying to be hyper negative, but I don't think there's anything RS3 can do to rekindle my interest short of a MASSIVE shift such as gutting Treasure Hunter (never going to happen) or removal of the tick system's domination of the combat system (Probably would be marketed as a new version of RuneScape)

Came back into the game after a 2 year break. Excited about all the updates except the GIM one. But if it makes the game more active than it is currently, i'm happy. Anything that makes bond prices drop from its current mayhem.
I really hope on gim release for rs3 that they let those that don't care for the competition aspect of highscores and already have existing Ironman accs form a group, that would get so many more ppl to return on its release
Kinda tempted to just try to find some random people who are down to nolife GIM and actually chat on discord and play together, would basically be a dream come true
Actually kinda sounds fire. My only hesitation with that would be the intimidation of not actually enjoying the company of those people

@@johntran8402 that's kinda the struggle right? Playtime, Commitment, and getting along are all big factors for something like this. However I do think the kind of reward to be obtained can be amazing.

Soo ive made an ironman a few years ago I hope you can make groups with already made ironmans, we started as a group and hoped for gim but we dont plan on starting all over again

I wonder if there are people who want to rush hiscores who either have an account that's 10 years old on tutorial island with a bunch of loyalty points on it, or if people will start an acc now and start paying for membership on it to get a head start on aura acquisition.
I honestly wouldn’t even be mad if they just took osrs content and adapted it into rs3. Literally take ToA, varlamore, whatever, as a content reference and balance it for rs3. I’d be good with it.
In the survei, they talked about prestige skills... That for me is where the content will be too. Competition drives ppl, lots of fresh content on youtube from ppl. If it starts at lvl 1 will be good for the economy. Old places minigames and itens will be usefull again.. no more a game just about pvm. Skilling can have a chance here. :)
I'm excited about group ironman but also I'm kinda mad because last time this came up the devs basically said it was not going to be in game, so me and a couple friends made regular ironmen to "group" with, and now if we wanna actually make group ironmen its just gonna feel like all my time on the regular ironman was a massive waste, but that's a personal issue i guess, still good we're getting it either way
I could go on and on about how insanely happy seeing GIM on there makes me, so I'll just say this instead. I'm really not eager to have ANOTHER new necro ring to choose from. Zargoth's ring is fine, unless they want to make it combineable with this new one it's really goofy to release another so soon.
It's much more likely that the osseous "heart" will further enhance the zorgoth soul ring yeah.

GIM is awesome except that all my friends already quit because of the state of the game. Unfortunately not an update for me but happy for those who still play and have their friends around

I wonder how they will make group ironman exciting and innovative on RS3. You can already boost an ironman account with drops by camping Helper with a main account. Maybe get low-mid level supplies with a buddy on the GIM, even though supplies are gained efficiently through pvm.
probably the same way they tackled it on osrs: if you only pvm with your group you keep your prestige on the highscores.
Bonds will be 200m when group iron comes out and if it works right people who buy bonds for gp can flush the market and bond prices might drop back down under 100m
Do you think they will have HCGIM? Most of the CC's from osrs only play HC just because it brings that extra element of fear when doing bosses and stuff. While normal GIM is fun for the normal player, the HC element really makes series' to really take off.

This is such a bandaid that will see a spike in players for a bit that will inevitably go away. RS3 is so fundamentally mismanaged, that this will not last.

Does anyone know if the mining and smithing update with make the skills go to 120 instead of 99? Seems like a lot of ores and bars for a skill that already has new ores every 10 lvls. If it does go to 120 I'd be super happy with my 119 mining and 108 smithing. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment hope someone knows something I don't about this :D Lovin this roadmap so far!!!!!

i would thinke some of the rs3 streamers might return to rs3 just to play that alone. also 3 more bosses well technicly 5 since one is 3 bosses in a dungeon (yea we know of 1 of them from before) is realy nice will be interesting to see what the skilling boss will drop to

Group iron sounds like s fun side project since i recently trimmed my iron and im just afking 200ms at this point but its like, you need to find people who share the same motivation and effort level as you or it may feel like you are carrying someone or you may feel pressured to play even more. Plan your teams carefully folks

Hi Ryan big fan, if you decide to let 1-2 viewers join in on the G-I mode i would really love to join all my friends that play runescape would never make an ironman i will do so much work for the team please consider me as an option if its possible. :)

Man those t95 dual wield magic weapons are gonna have to be pretty JUICY to bring magic up to par right now.. hopefully they figure out the change they want to do to fractured staff as well. I never see anybody using magic anymore.
Magic can still do incredible damage, work on your rotation
