Why is the jig so tall? Shorter jig and some guards for your hands and you're gtg.

Not really clear on why you went with the giant stack instead of a much smaller set up with a basic router. I mean, what you've got is awesome, just not sure why you went that way

Shaper cutters cut far better than router bits and this wood had very varied grain. This minimized tear out.
