Boss GT1 v1.05 Firmware Update Procedure

You can follow same procedure for updating to new firmware version 1.08
Update history :
[ Version 1.05 ] OCT 2016
Bug Fixes :
The following bug were fixed.
1) The sound fails to change when "OUTPUT SELECT" is used to switch the amplifier type while headphones are connected to the PHONES jack.
2) The indicators for the UP, DOWN, and CTL1 switches sometimes flash at tuner startup.
3)DELAY sometimes fails to be applied during EASY EDIT changes.
Noise sometimes occurs when TYPE is changed for OD/DS or PREAMP.
4) Noise sometimes occurs when REVERB TYPE is changed from DELAY to another TYPE setting.
5) Executing a factory reset for the GT-1 while BOSS TONE STUDIO for GT-1 is connected results in unmatching displays on the GT-1 and in BOSS TONE STUDIO.
6) The color of the [UP] and [DOWN] switches remains lighted in red.
7) When the [UP] or [DOWN] switch is used to select a patch number, the switch color sometimes lights up in red.
8) ON/OFF is displayed on the editing screen for NS (NOISE SUPPRESSOR).
Functionality Improvements :
1) The trigger position when switching TUNER on and off by operating an expression pedal has been corrected.
2) The characteristics of "OUTPUT SELECT" when PREAMP TYPE is BGNR UB or ORNG ROCK have been corrected.
3) The functioning of CTL1 was set to OFF when not using TAP DELAY with EASY EDIT.

Thanks for posting this. I couldn't even find this information on Boss' own website! I just got a GT-1 and love it, but wanted to make sure the firmware was up-to-date. (It was at 1.08 out of the box, which is the latest firmware posted on their website as of June 2020)

I tried several times to install boss gt1 driver on my windows 7, but it didn't work. Ang solution? The problem is about unsigned driver

Very helpful , thankyou . How to connect to tone central ? its always showing offline . should i download USB driver ? thats not happening too.
If you are using windows 10 then you have to turn on the windows update to download the usb driver automatically....First turn on the updates--then go to device manager...then select the unknown usb device on the usb menu...right click on it and sleect update automatically..It should resolve your issue...if you still face any problem then message me here...i will surely help you in this regard

I'm pressing exit and enter when turning the gt1 on, but nothing shows up on screen :/
Have to press enter and then plug the cable in . Same goes for the exit button . Press either first then insert the cable while holding the button

Works the exact same way . I just followed his instructions and upgraded from Ver 1.08 to Ver 1.09
