Top step ladder standing is a Navy tradition. Welcome to the old man hernia club Chad. Had 2 repairs while in the Navy. NAS Sigonella and NAVSTA Guantanamo. Good times. Great video as always. Keep them coming.
This might be the most real video you guys have put out. Traffic, dirt roads, accidents, ER visits….. we’ve been there done all that thought it only happened to us ! Now we know we’re in good company 😂
Truman was a very humble man and we live in Independence where he lived. He took daily walks and would talk to people. The Library is for research and learning. He didn't want a brag Library. My husband took our oldest kids to see his coffin at the Library.
Lol on the pee bottle, I drive a Peterbilt so I had a good laugh at that, I appreciate your channel so very much. Stay in the moment and have a beautiful day!
Tara, I've noticed the last several videos you look like you're feeling SO much better. Either that or your acting abilities are improving dramatically. ;)
Hi folks, my wife and I live in Orlando. I’ve been following you for about 6 months now. We’re newbie’s. We’ve been in Orlando for about 31 years. Have not been to the keys yet. Watching you guys makes me book a trip down there early next year. We have a TH Montana High Country. Boy, have I got lots to learn. By for now. Be safe
Glad to see you two out and about. Thought I had been removed from the subscription list...lol. Hope to see more, sooner than later. Until next time...
We have stopped at Carroll's RV park south of Atlanta on the way to FL along I-75. It's $40 per night, AND they give you a $10 coupon to use in their store. Their meats and specialty products are fantastic. We ate at Milagro in Key West, one of the best (and most expensive) meals I've ever had... and worth every penny Make sure you keep up on your PSA test. I was taken by surprise, and not a pleasant one Sorry, Tara is spot on with your "ladder performance".
At least you got last year's Keys trip in before you headed to the Keys this year, but barely. It really doesn't matter, it's fun watching you guys whether it's a month or in this case almost a year behind. It looks like you guys had fun in Key West. I've been there 4 times but only got to spend a few days each time. I need to go back for a month. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Oh the pee bottle had me in stitches! We just had this same conversation just last weekend stuck in Sunday CO mountain traffic into Denver! No empty Gatorade bottles! Great video being able to jam all that content in there! Well done! So happy your health is good now. 😊
Really enjoy your travel vids. Production, editing and audio are top notch. Background music always seems to fit and is perfectly leveled. In short, your travel videos make me want to go there. Thank you.
You were very close to our home base, near Dayton, and we were about two weeks behind you heading to Florida. We had our Valentine dinner at Georgia Veterans Memorial Park then spent time in Apopka before heading back north to the cold. Also, Brad, safety first, you need a taller folding stool, LOL.
So, Chad, had a friend who thought he was invincible too. He fell off his short ladder and broke his neck. Yes, he is still alive but had to wear a neck brace for a long time. Better to borrow a ladder from your friends and do it correctly. Much love to the both of you.
Tara, at least you stayed awake going 0 mph. I, however, can not. We were going thru construction or something in New Mexico. We were at a dead stop. I fell asleep. When I woke up, I ask my hubby where were we. He answered, "In the same place we were before you fell asleep." lol. What's the name of the music for this video? I like it.
Awesome recap! We’ve never been to Key West, but this and previous episodes have inspired me to put a trip to the Keys on a very short bucket list. You two always do such a wonderful job putting together your content. Thank you so much for bringing us along with you.
For Tara. Chad, know what the most common injury that happens to a retired firefighter? Fall from a ladder! Always have someone "foot the ladder!" ❤👍🙏 OLT
Empty Gatorade bottles are a must. As a UPS driver for 34 years and on a rural route, they came in handy. Same for road trips. Just be sure to empty them right after.
It's fun to see your travels again, but I can't tell you thank you enough for your how to's. Just yesterday I re-watched your internet video and took detailed notes. I use your info not only for our RV but for our house too since we live in the middle of nowhere. I am going to start RV-ing alone without my husband because I want to go out way more than him. I'm using all of your videos to learn how to do this on my own. Thank you again - I couldn't do this on my own.
That was an excellent travel video you guys and worth the wait. Especially liked the Way you wedged the Truman museum into a short period and got it all! You’ve become pro status in videography.
On the having-to-pee while in a traffic jam, consider doggie bags. We *always* have rolls of those, since we use them to clean up after our dog, and they don't leak if you tie them off tightly. They're easy to discreetly "fill" from the seat of the truck while stopped. Well, for the guys, anyway...not sure how the ladies would adapt to that. For a longer-term solution, of course, there are purpose-made solutions, including adapters for women. That head injury made us both wince. And so did that Harvest Host. I'm way more of a newbie than Chad, and would have been in real trouble trying to navigate that mess. The Valentine's Day meal looked fantastic. I've tried before to do bacon-wrapped scallops, by actually wrapping the bacon around the scallops, and it's a difficult mess. Your solution looks way better.
Hi guys....loving the trip in the traffic...my wife and I hit this kind of traffic in Ca. regularly....no vetoes on the open door pottie stops....done this a few times myself....and it saves the WIFES cup :)
My husband cracked a heel when the short step ladder colapsed suddenly. He was unable to walk without crutches for 3 months. Costco sells an aluminum lightweight ladder that would be better than that! Thx for all your videos!
Man, I need friends like yours! A month moochdocking in the Keys. Heaven! So kind of them! 😊 I’m impressed with the maneuvering skills of Chad. We have a 30 foot toy hauler and are just learning. I’m sure it’s painful to watch. Lol Staying in Naples for the winter. We will be heading down to the Keys and I haven’t been there since I was in junior high. I’m jotting down notes watching your videos. We won’t have the RV this year down there we are renting a place. I’m going to figure out campgrounds while I’m down there this year. We definitely will check out the campgrounds in the Keys that you’ve shared.
TBI!? That's way more than just a concussion. Can relate to the "Gatorade" bottle activity. For us, we have "The Chicago bottle" incident in which I filled a diet Mountain Dew bottle because driving through Chicago in rush hour was a bad idea. As for the thing with the ladder... Tara, it's just like when you're driving down the highway - he may do things differently than you would, but in that exact moment, if he's behind the wheel it's his call (and his fault if it goes badly). You can support him and hope for the best or tear down his confidence and potentially create a worse situation. If you've got a better solution at that moment, you can always make a suggestion, but once it's in progress, just like in traffic, back him up. ...but yeah, it was a silly thing to do and you're right to get on his case for it after it's over.
My father was stationed here in Key West from 1952 to 1957 Serving on the Sennet, an aging diesel submarine. By the time we were transferred again in 1957, I think, we were so acclimated to the area that when the temps dropped into the 60s we wee wearing our heavy winter clothes that we had to wear when he was stationed in New London. He found us a great place in New Jersey on a huge farm, It was great, except that we arrived there during the worst winter storm that they had had in 50 years. WE just about froze that winter. Chad having fallen off a ladder only 8 feet and needing surgery to rebuild my heel bone, seriously be careful with ladder antics. Great catch up video!
We live 30 minutes from Dade City! Small world!! If your friends haven’t taken y’all to Green Door on 8th yet, they are not very good friends!! It’s a MUST!! 😊

Tara goes to Home Depot and buy Chad a step ladder with an extra step or two. That way he will have a tall enough one and not need to do the balancing act. I bought a four step one a few years ago but had to return it. It was terrifying at only the third step! 😂 I guess I will be hiring people to do anything on the top of my RV, because I wouldn't want to have to call the Fire department to get me off the roof of my Motor Home!

Some HH just aren't worth it, sorry. We came into the wrong side of town in east Wyoming and turned onto a 10 mile, no turn around, July dusty, washboard farm road. Whiskey was great! So was the Blue Beacon!! We're pulling out of Florida after 7 weeks and surviving IAN. Haading West for the Winter. We'll miss Florida. Brendan & Lena
