The great thing about not having the drums in this version is that there's finally a cover of In The Air Tonight that you can loop endlessly forever without it ever feeling repetitive.
Scene: Lieutenant Martin Castillo calls the boys into his office to tell them a job well done, but not without giving them a proper shakedown for their unorthodox antics in getting the job done. The mess will be left to the district attorney to clean up and he's not happy. This track slowly fades in. Cut to the next scene. An overhead shot from a helicopter steady-cam: Sonny & Crockett are driving in their Ferrari Testarossa across one of the famed bridges that go across Biscayne Bay after being deep under cover for a year. Their partnership has been sealed in gun battles and arrests made over the course of the past year. The sun is setting into a myriad of pinks, purples and blues. Both cops' wardrobes match the sunset. They lost a close colleague in a shootout to one of Miami's biggest drug lords (while shootouts of the past year cut in and out) , but now the druglord is dead too. The rest of the gang's bad guys are behind bars. Miami is safe for now - until someone inevitably fills the void (as foreshadowed earlier in the episode). Sonny and Crockett say nothing to each other as the top is down and the wind blows in their hair. Roll credits. Wrap that year's season.
