Myndi gets no love but I feel like she does so much for these guys behind the scenes. Shoutout to her.
Myndi is a saint. Glad to see she came along this year. Hope she can get in the saddle one of these days.
I have seen her help a lot god bless you and Myndi for all she does to help out
@@BenPlass " I'm your ice cream man, stop me when your passing by, I'm your ice cream man, stop me when you your passing by.... All my flavors guaranteed to satisfy.
Getting used to seeing The Hunting Beast on the challenge vids but now Jeff Sturgis is on board??!! Best deer hunting content right here!!
It would be better if they didn't steal the idea from Sean's Outdoor Adventures. He had the Map Reading Challenge several years ago...
@@Ryan-od9sd Getting a bunch of guys together to hunt on public land is not an exclusive to Sean’s Outdoors idea. That’s like saying Sean’s Outdoors would be better if he hadn’t got the idea of carrying a camera into the woods from Bill Jordan. Come on man. Just enjoy the awesome hunting content from all the creators. These collaborations are great.
Ryan 4567 that sounds so dumb bud! Just because someone has done something similar it makes it less interesting? Lol
@@Ryan-od9sd who cares
@@Ryan-od9sd Sean's Outdoor Adventures provides great hunting content. He is a really good guy too. I like watching his map challenge too.
I Really Miss Deer Camp. Sometimes it's hard to get motivated when you hunt by yourself. I lost my Dad in 2017 and 3 uncles in succession after that and I don't really have many friends that hunt. My brothers live way up north of me and we only see each other a few times a year, but deer camp is a thing of the past. Enjoy the company of your comrades while you have them. Glad I can watch THP and remember the old days with all my family hunting together like y'all do.
This is so true. Most of the people that were a part of my hunting camp are either gone or don’t hunt anymore. I’m solo on public land. I think back to the fantastic memories and hilarious misadventures and I smile. Funny, but oftentimes, when I’m sitting 30 feet up a tree or tucked into a downed tree with my bow is when I feel closest to those who are gone. I sure miss the anticipation and camaraderie of those days at camp. Best of luck, Mohunter! I feel you, man!
I'm in the same position here in N.C .If you want to hunt my private land or the public lands in Montgomery county. I will make time to show you my favorite spots.
I don’t know where y’all are but I visit south central PA often and will be back there again next year. But I’m down in NC now. I’ll hunt with you guys!
I lost my dad 3 weeks ago but I have a niece that's more boy than her brothers and a true killer, get a young person into hunting it'll keep you interested!
@@IvoryOut that’s where I hunt whitetail. If you or any others are around during deer I’ll show you all my spots!
LOL Ted with his shiny new vest
Ted: "I think they gave one to all of us"
Aaron: "They certainly did not"
Hey guys...welcome to Pennsylvania. This is my home state and back in the 80's,90,s and early 2000,s my friends and I spent every fall in the mountains and our log book recorded several nights when we went spotting and saw 100+ deer in a couple of hours. Then the game commission had both buck and doe season together and for 2 years and there was a was a slaughter followed by several years when you couldn't find a sign of deer anywhere. You are arriving at a good time as the herd has recovered and is producing some beautiful bucks which have been allowed to mature due to antler restrictions imposed by the game commission.I'm too old to hunt them now but I follow you all of the time and really enjoy the highs and the lows that are a part of the sport of deer hunting. Good luck and whack one for me.
I certainly remember that Richard. We lost an entire generation of hunters because of that. The kids would go out and not see a single deer and lose interest very quick and I couldn't blame them. I knew what it was like and what it could be like but they didn't. It has been getting better and better recently though.
12 doe with 1 spike buck trailing up the rear sure beats the average handful of healthy doe with a 120” behind it. “The good old days”
Your state of PA is beautiful, Richard. I've always admired the number of outdoorsman out of PA and all of the public land available.

Pa is tough hunting up north to get a big buck in the mountains is a big accomplishment. Bradford County is where I go and its totally different from where I hunt in 5c in bucks County
There's a lifetime's worth of knowledge in that deer camp. I hope you guys do a podcast with Dan and Jeff.
The public land challenge is one of the best series you guys do. I can't wait to watch more. It's great to see the different scouting/hunting approaches from so many great hunters.
5:26 Best BIG WINS ua-cam.com/video/MNNd2DZSdKs/v-deo.html
I was worried Joe wasn't coming back this year to extend his Public Land Challenge streak of killing big bucks. Glad I was wrong!
the one we have all been waiting for!
Rob Grubb Oh, yeah!! THP and the Hunting Beast are the best.
The one that makes us feel like even worse hunters cause they can kill anywhere lol
Matt S That’s no lie.
Zach cracks me up lol. Looks like he's having the best day of his life on every hunt.
Zach getting fired up is the best. You love to see it.
Welcome to PA! You showed up on the only day it’s rained on in months! Good Luck and leave some for us!!
Haha I thought the same thing. Drought all summer then as soon as they show up two major fronts roll through.
I can’t believe you guys came to pa! That’s awesome! Highest hunter density in the world if you do well here you will do well anywhere
Come on now don’t try to negate the Michiganders that claim they have the highest lol
@@Jimmy445able came here just to claim my state of Michigan as well
✋I’m from here. Two of you will get it at least. Lol
Southern zone in NY here...
@@captaincripple7218 Lol simple google search my friends, bigdeerblog.com/2018/02/most-deer-hunters-per-square-mile-in-u-s/
I subscribed to this channel when it was at about 20k. By now, my wife recognizes Zach, Aaron, Ted and Jake's voice. I can't be the only one...
I came in around the same time and it's awesome to see the growth of channel
Myndi is a huge asset to you guys! Always preparing food and always ready to go track or recover a deer! I think she needs a raise, especially for putting up with you all! Lol
Good luck and stay safe,
Cubby
Dan: eating apple
Also has 100 energy drinks
🤘😂
I swear dan is my spirit animal 🤣🤣🤣
THP, Dan , and Jeff. Mercy, that’s a lot of firepower. These public land challenges are becoming my favorite videos of the year.
I literally spit my food out laughing at Zach talking about his peanut butter. LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!! I’m all kinds of jacked up for the season here in Delaware
I was raised hunting public ground here in Northeastern Pa. While challenging at times it’s very rewarding when it all comes together! I have a12 year old son who is a very accomplished hunter having taken 3 buck in 5 years of hunting and now his twin sister has taken an interest in hunting and hopefully she will be successful this year . Good luck to you guys !!!
you can start hunting at age 7-8? and just curious what poundage does a 7-8 year old pull?
Dan you seen a mother and fawn and a spike on your first sit, all's you needed to see was a dutchman and your first successful pa hunt would've been complete
That’s only in the big valley haha
Very funny and SOOO accurate
Welcome to PA! They have areas fenced off so they can study the impact the deer herd has on the vegetation.
I've hunted a 10 year fence in 4A and seen/killed some of the biggest bucks in that time frame.
The hunting all-stars have arrived to Pennsylvania 😈 great to see so many hunting legends link together for some great content!
This is so awesome guys! I love to see all the you tube hunters that I follow gathering for commradery and to share thoughts and knowledge. Thanks for putting this together again this year! Make sure this stays an annual tradition!
Thank you Aaron, Hayden, Greg, Mindi, Tim, Rick, Joe, and Dan for your hospitality, when I visited the Public Land Challenge camp. Jeff had gone back home. Zach and Ted were still out in the timber. Again THANKS!
It was great meeting you Brad! Dan is with me now and says good luck this season! Go get that buck!!!!
I love to see this group together. I too wish Chatman was with them. Good luck all, looking forward to seeing the results.
Coolest thing seeing all our idols together- keep on going!!
I’ve known Y’all and hunting beast but whitetail habitat solutions is awesome!!
Jeff is the real deal, I've learned alot from him via his videos. I have the utmost respect for him.
He was suppose to been there last year but I think his father passed away
Love seeing all of you guys get together like that! Seems like a great atmosphere and a dangerous one for bucks
Pennsylvania love to see it I’m in northwestern pa
Love the public land challenge every year. Follow you all, there is so much room for all utube hunters like yourselves. Zach, your the fn man, love the energy brother. Keep keepin it real.
Love all the best youtube channels getting together hunting! Great idea, keep up the yearly tradition.
Man if catman, diy, sportsman and Shane Simpson were there feewwwwyyy what a knock out lineup that would be.
With that said, it’s epic you guys do this and I’m so stoked for what’s to come. Keep it up boys!
Been looking forward to series. Looks like a great bunch of hunters in camp. Lots of different personalities that mesh well together an should make for good flicks no matter if something is on the buck pole or not. An Mindi should be the star of the show if she is stuck doing all the cooking for that crew of Public Landers. Hopefully Dan does the feeling Beasty dance again
Welcome to PA! We got plenty of rain, deer, and bullet slingers. Nothing more rewarding than a mature PA public land buck. Good luck boys
Zach is such a great guy, giving tips and advice to all the younger deer to help them survive hunting season 😂
Really enjoy you all getting together. Thank you guys.
The gangs all here now... Can't wait to see what's next. O, bring some Yuengling back from PA for me!
I was nervous there was going to be no Joe from The Hunting Beast on this challenge. Glad he made it!
Welcome to the Keystone! Shhhh....don't tell anyone about our deer numbers...😁
I think I love this video ALMOST as much as the videos that just show hunting. There are many facets to hunting and sharing a hunting camp, the camaraderie and the stories are all just another way to enjoy hunting. Variety is the spice of life. Beautiful.
PA Resident here. Excited to see what you guys produce here. It's one of the toughest states to tag a true mature buck, if not the toughest, so best of luck to you guys!
This is like the super bowl..... And Dan's shirts are like the commercials.... People could watch just for those. LET'S HUNT!
YES!! Finally, a home game. Welcome to PA boys. Get after it. Whoohoo!!
My favorite deer hunting channel on UA-cam. Keep it up boys. Going to Nebraska public next week fired up
I think Zach’s personality is honestly probably the best ever! Makes for good watching and good laughs!!
They finally went to a state I live in!!
I live in mo and where I hunt we have huge deer
Same
Berks county
I agree 😂
Do u live in multiple states that they have not been to?
Public land challenge is the BEST! Very cool to see the difference in styles and tactics for the different hunters.Excellent stuff guys.
I love these public land challenges. My top 3 favorite channels all together.
I grew up hunting in north central Pennsylvania, back in the day if a tiny basket 6 pointer was shot, guys from other camps would gather to look at it! Hardly any bucks survived to maturity. Things are better now with antler restrictions as well as the hunters themselves improving, learning from each other. Following these channels & guys now on UA-cam has added to the fun.
Love seeing Dan again!
I watch Jeff Sturgis’ videos all the time. Really great to see him working with you guys!
Next time your out on pa y’all gotta come to western pa. I’ve seen so many mature bucks this hunting season. Missed a giant 10 point, have a younger nice 8 point living by the house, I went to check a camera in the field behind the house after work 20 min before dark without my bow and 3 doe and I believe that 10 point jumped up 10 yards inside the tree line, today I went to hang posted signs on my property and seen the biggest buck I’ve ever seen in person. Rifle starts In 3 days so I’m hoping to get him. Thanks to the tips you guys have on using onX maps I really think I have them figured out. It’s honestly helped give me knowledge that I’ve never knew before. Good luck on future hunts fellas. 🤙🏼
Zack, i am a Pennsylvania bow hunter and faithful follower of the hunting public. You don't have to duck behind your truck when we pass, i assure you we are actually quite friendly.
Dan, you went up to the big fresh rub and literally touched it! Not sure what your scent technique is but generally putting bare hands on fresh rubs isn’t in my play book. I understand wind is king but damn. Now I’ll shut up and probably watch you kill a giant! Love you guys! I’m addicted!
If he comes in he will die before he gets to the rub, if he dont, I will be long gone before he returns.
Good to see you out on the Public Land Challenge this year Jeff.
This Saturday morning in PA is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A PA boy here. Theyve been putting those fences up for at least 10 yrs. They build 3 sides, drive the deer out and close it up. Its meant to help the oak regeneration. They select cut and leave the oaks then after a few years (5-10) they take the fences down. One of my favorite spots (grew up hunting) had this done. Once the fences come down there a bunch of big and small oaks and thick, thick cover.
you can tell buddy is probably a fellow stoner. "Just trying to find my keys, and I didn't really do anything is the thing.. should be on top of something.." Lmao!! me, every single day of my life.
Myndi holding all the family together. Couldn’t happen without her. Good luck guys.
I think Dan hopped out the Nissan and made a mock scrape by the gate to keep Zach from going back in the good stuff 😂
This is going to be some educational epic hunting videos coming up with all you guys together in the same location I’m excited for this!
As a Pennsylvania resident, and hunter I just can’t get enough of these PA videos! 👍🏻
it is funny how they have never seen a deer fence
Yes! We the people want more Mountain National forest type hunting like this in Pa and the really rugged Western Va, Eastern Tn, and Western Nc.
All my Favorite Channels to Watch here on UA-cam! Hecks yes. Lol the boys, Dan the Man, and Jeff my guy! Good luck to everyone of you this season! Its gonna be a blast! God bless
Great tip on looking at the leaves. I do that myself when hunting new areas
Love the public land challenges!! Pennsylvania, along with Maryland and West Virginia are my old stomping
Glad to see all you guys back together again. Just can’t wait till every evening when the phone goes off to watch the new footage. Wish all you guys safe and excellent hunting. Maybe a public land challenge t-shirt with all your logos on it would be something nice to hit the shelves for all of us viewers to buy. Good luck and Stay safe.
They got a Pa public land shirt on the site
Yes I seen it earlier today and ordered. Thanks
Glad to see some new faces like Jeff Sturgis joining the public land challenge along with most of the familiar faces
I really like these public land challenges You really can relate directly to the hunt because of the real time hunting
Love ALL of the Public Land Challenges!! So informative to see how everyone goes about it! Keep them coming PLEASE!
I'm pretty sure that doe looked up at the beast and said "you're not in Kansas anymore dorothy" welcome to pa! Big fan of all your channels.
2:10 Those woven wire fences are the bane of every Pennsylvania hunters existence. I understand why they do it, but it really makes it impossible to hunt fresh clear cuts in areas using this forest management practice. It does work well as a funnel to concentrate animal movements around these areas, though.
They put those damn things all over the high tops near my family’s hunting camp
Those aren’t deer in people’s yards! Those are “lawn carp”. lol
Doesn’t get any better of a colab than this! Hunting Beast 💪🏻 and my professor Jeff 💪🏻
Zack wants to be patient, this should be good to see. Good luck and success to all of you. I will just sit here in Arizona recovering from eye surgery and enjoy the show. Thanks for letting me come along.
Jeff Sturgis and THP my two favorites in one vid
I've learned alot from them the last couple of years.
The holy grail of hunters in my state(Pa.) look out deer ! Welcome ! love following all you guys
Awesome to see Jeff joining you guys. Can’t wait for the next vid. Good luck to you all
I'm so glad you guys are hunting pa. I reside there and super pumped to see what you guys get i love to follow your channels
Great to see Jeff Sturgis in your line up, along with everyone else of course. Love the Pennsylvania area too good choice 👍🏻
Good luck everyone.
Y'all are freaking awesome!! Love what you guys do! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super jealous but y'all show how it really is and don't sugar coat s***. Really appreciate what the whole crew stands for!!
I just wanted to give you guys another big shout out! I just saw and read an article about "The Hunting Public" in OUTDOOR LIFE Vol.227 No.3. pg.52. You guys are really making waves in the community after only 4 years and I love it. Keep it up guys!
Gonna really enjoy this. I live and hunt in NJ but will be joining my friend's deer camp up in Bradford County for the first time this year. Stoked!!!
Dan and joe!!!
17:34 For anyone trying to figure it out, the OnX map is upside down in the video with north at the bottom of the screen. They are in an area with TONS of public land. Even once you figure out the area, they could be hunting any number of places.
By far my favorite part of the deer tour. Weird Dan's shaved, eating an apple and full camo? He feeling ok? Good luck
Live about 15 minutes North of Pittsburgh but I hunt all over PA . Butler, Clarion, Elk, Forest, Venango, Allegheny..........pretty cool to think that you guys may be treading on some of the same land I have.
Welcome to PA. Good luck to all! Try finding beach nuts or white oaks.
Can't wait for more footage.
Love this. Love all the guys from The Hunting public and our guys from The Hunting beast!!! Take care of business guys!!
80 degree weather this week in good ole PA
If no one has done it yet, from which I didn’t see anything yet, the fencing at the beginning of the video is being used as a control for a study on the impacts of deer of forest vegetation. Basically it keeps them out from grazing those areas.
For anyone not from PA, it’s pretty interesting seeing the difference from the outside of the fencing vs. the forest inside the fencing, noticeable difference. But I could also be wrong about all of this
im a huge fan of all the channels on here and this is one of the best things to happen for hunting by far. I Hope it contines for years to come
Glad to know I was hunting the same Penns Woods with you guys this past week, hope you enjoyed yourselves
Dan and Joe came in from the river and up the ridge, while I was on the ridge top, last Tuesday evening.
This is going to be the best series yet. I love that you guys are hunting my home state. Good Luck
Wow jeff thp and the beast together. Some of the best guys to learn from!
My gosh thats a dream camp thp, hunting beast and Sturgis id hate to be a buck in that area, something's going to die.
Welcome to the great state of Pennsylvania! We have a lot of deer and a decent amount of shooter bucks. In my experience the public land is very under utilized during archery season. You guys will do well if the weather cooperates. Good luck!
This kind of content is the best. Going from one team to another keeps me totally captivated. Just a bunch of good people enjoying hunting.
Good to see Jeff participating
Super excited to see how this unfolds. Great crew and my home state.
