WCML diverts over the G&SW route at Sanquhar + more on 31/3/18 & 1/4/18

In this video we see a variety of trains from the WCML which had been diverted to the G&SW route due to engineering work at Carstairs, Beattock and work in the Glasgow South area.
Also in the video are some trains which were not diversions such as the Northern Rail class 158 + 155 move by Rail Operations Group to Kilmarnock Barclay Sdgs from Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D for refurbishment and also a couple of engineers moves to Carlisle N.Y. from Larkfield Jn.
A variety of trains were filmed at Sanquhar with workings from Direct Rail Services, DB Cargo, Freightliner and Rail Operations Group.
One of the highlights of these two days has got to be 68025 "Superb" and 68030 Top N Tailed on 4S43 with the Tesco train from Daventry to Elderslie container terminal which is rarely used now.

Really good variety there and you did well to catch them all. Think I must have caught quite a few of yours at Barassie, and I agree that tnt 68s on 4S43 were def a highlight for me too! Having said that the Freightliner tnt 66s were unusual as well to save running around at Barassie. 66566 tnt 66564. You wouldn't have got them tnt at Sanquhar. Good spot for filming tho!! Thanks. Nice and why did the Tesco train have to go to elderslie, also where did it unload

The Tesco train had to go to Elderslie because engineering work prevented it from going to its normal destination of Mossend Euroterminal. It also went to Elderslie to unload inststead of unloading at Mossend Euroterminal. Thanks for watching!
