    Ingredients:
    Urad dal- 250 grams
    Ragi flour- 125 grams
    Salt- as required
    Method: Soak urad dal for 5-6 hours and grind it smoothly (you can also soak 1 tbsp of fenugreek seeds along if you wish). Add ragi flour and salt to it. Mix thoroughly with hands. Leave it to ferment naturally in a warm and draft free place (mostly it should be in a preheated oven at 90°C for 10 mins and then turn it off. Leave the oven light on to keep the temperature steady throughout the fermentation period). Fermentation may take upto 12 hours and even more in winters. So be patient. This part is what gonna give you soft idlis 🧏🏻‍♀️😋
    Cooking: Swipe to see the batter consistency video. Grease the idli mould and pour in the batter. Steam for 10 mins on high flame. Take the mould out. Let it cool down a bit. This helps to take idlis out easily from the mould. Use a blunt knife or back of the spoon for this 🥄

    PS- Avoid adding ENO to idli or dosas batter for kids. It's high in sodium and not good for their health 🙌🏻
