do you know if the burning trick works on other cords or if it has to be nylon? i just got 3 sets of waxed polyester cord to make my bracelets with and i was hoping to use this method so i could add the beads i wanted
the lighter will only work on cord that can melt and not necessarily burn. It won't work on cotton or hemp but might work on your waxed polyester. Please be careful if you decide to test it out! :)
@@opulentdesignsi think a burn test would be helpful! i’ll go outside and use a short piece to make sure it melts, and if it does burn i’ll keep a cup of water to drop it in. fingers tightly crossed! and thank you for the perfect tutorial btw, IF my cord works these are gonna be PERFECT for my sisters birthdays 🥰
@@opulentdesigns i actually ended up just tying the end into a knot like we did at the start, but thank you for this!! i’ll try this for my next set of bracelets
I usually stop the bracelet at about 6 inches and then the piece that becomes part of the closure adds about a half inch. This can be adjusted by ensuring you have additional string when starting. Maybe just an extra 4-6 inches.

@@hanaberry.shortcake pass the flame quickly by the end. It doesn't take long at all to melt the end. 😊✨️

Si que funciona, yo lo hago😊@@hanaberry.shortcake
How big is this bracelet when completed? How much more string for a larger bracelet?
