Swami Mukundananda explains the journey of the soul and the rare opportunity of human birth to attain spiritual growth. He contrasts human life with the lives of celestial beings (devatas) and animals, emphasizing that while humans have the freedom to act (purushartha) and pursue spiritual goals, devatas are bound to experience the results of their past deeds, inevitably depleting their merits over time. This unique freedom in human life allows us to perform actions that yield either liberation (moksha) or devotion (bhakti), goals beyond the reach of celestial beings.
Swami Mukundananda warns against complacency, recounting stories of people who postpone spirituality, believing they’ll focus on it later in life. He likens this delay to ignoring signs of aging, like graying hair, which should prompt reflection on life’s impermanence rather than superficial solutions. The urgency to use time wisely is illustrated through the story of Yudhisthira, who initially postponed a charity for the next day, only to realize from Bhimsen’s satirical response that assuming one will be alive tomorrow is foolish.
Swamiji explains that most people live in a "sleep of ignorance," absorbed in worldly identities and attachments, yet these are illusions that vanish upon spiritual awakening. True wakefulness, he asserts, comes when one detaches from sensory objects, realizing the temporary nature of worldly pursuits. Thus, human life, though brief, is a profound opportunity for spiritual realization, which we must seize without delay.

Wow, this is what we want to know. This series is literally telling us what is the purpose of this human life. Thank you so much, Swamiji, for this series.
Very true. Human life is so precious but temporary, we need to contemplate this wisdom again and again in mind.
The human form is indeed very special and must be utilized to fulfill a higher purpose. Thank you Swamiji ❤
So profound wisdom, we need to be remind ourselves of the importance and temporary nature of our existence.
Oh Lord enlighten me to put this transient human body to some good use 🙏🏻
Swamiji, I am having so many defects in me 😭. I will definitely try to improve myself. Thank you. Radhe Radhe.
So beautiful explanation!Human life is a precious gift from God,which is meant for our soul’s growth. Our Guru often reminds us of this purpose, but we easily become lost in enjoying worldly pleasures through our five senses. When we fully understand this and shift our mind from worldly attachments to God, we begin to see our true worth as human beings and the deeper purpose of our lives.
The happiness in all contacts of the senses is temporary. The nature of the Self is Bliss. Harih 🕉.

Due to desires created by mind and intellect doesn't possess the discrimination to prevent it(as it has either lost understanding of Tattva gyan or never understood)...... That's why we cling to sense objects as Tattva Vismaranaat Bhekivat
Jai Gurudev.

Radhey Radhey🙏 the question why we are attached to objects of senses : Because we have this divine longing for happiness as being a fragment of divine lord we naturally desire happiness but it never satiates due to our ignorance of searching it in the wrong side in the material world of god. Because God is Happiness and vice versa, we long only for it. These sense objects is a product for the senses to relish temporary pleasure of the material world and further we get pain from it and couldn't have divine bliss
Don't make excuses now.
Jai Gurudev
