XR 150L Powerline Trail Test. (Stock bike*)

- So I bought an XR 150L and its FUN! You cant go too terribly fast without bottoming the suspension on bumpy trails but if you keep it between 10-20 mph its actually pretty smooth. (seat probably helps with that too) Might try a change in gearing at some point as I constantly have to switch between 1st and second gear while trail riding. I will NOT be hammering it into the ground as this isnt my only trail bike and I'm honestly enjoying riding it nice and easy. (*This is a 99.9% stock bike except for Renthal grips which most likely add 25% more power) One day I will remember to switch off the turn signal sooner as well.
I've owned one of these for many years now and I'm actually quite surprised that it's only being released in the US now... Crazy. Awesome little bikes that'll last a million years. You simply cannot kill them.
yep, we finally got them!
This video really gets a mountain bikers blood pumping. I need this.
I love d. Trail, i loved experience . Nice.
I’ve never ridden or owned a motorcycle before. I think this would make a great first bike for cruising forest roads and double track. Not trying to rip any highways, just some chill dirt cruising. Thanks for the video
I agree this motorcycle would be a good first bike for chill dirt cruising as well. It's quiet, smooth and has a low seat height which gives newer riders more confidence and control to get past the learning phase. for me, its just easy to hop on and have fun. Hope you get the chance to ride/own a motorcycle one day and thank you for watching!
Yes!
I use it too for long distance (300 miles [400km]). At 50-55 mph (90kmh) without vibrations, the good original seat, low noise, big fuel thank with 105 mpg (2,7 l/100) in real conditions, + the rear rack. The little thing do the job, so, the DR650 is sold now (i miss is motor).
Thank you su much !
I have a XR150l 2023 stock and i will relook your video many time. Because it is like medecine in winter month (Québec). Same bike, same style of trail and riding speed. 👏👍
Thank you very much! I hope you have many years of enjoyment with your XR150!
Any oil consumption issues?
This is what I bought mine for. Love it, eager for the weather to warm up and ride some more. I ride the backroads and trails in the Ozarks. Just started recording and sharing my rides too.
That's excellent! Hope you have some good adventures on your machine
Looks like a good bike for slipping in and out of the flower patch undetected. 🙂
She's super quiet!
Looking smooth Mr. Majors
Thanks man!
Dont compare other bikes to this but compare the price for performance
Agreed
I mean it's got me riding lol def looking to upgrade but for now a new bike for 3gs that starts every time is good for me
absolutely! this is all you need to get out and have fun@@DankTank374
@@DankTank374if it’s tuned right it starts right up every time.
BBK is super cheap for these bikes. Makes them a lot more powerful!
Looks like a lot of nice trails to explore!
Thank you. Its not too bad for a spot right down the street! I'm very lucky to have a place to ride around here locally as I know its hard to find a good place to ride.
That looked like fun! That xr150 probably is quite a bit more capable off road than people would think. Were you riding on the stock tires?
Its more capable than I thought it would be with the small engine size but it does just fine. Yes, the tires are stock for now.
And the stock tire are good in longevity. My rear stock tire have 5000km and look good for 8 or 10000km (÷1.6 for miles). I ordered the same for the back.
Nice ride! Any oil consumption issues?
Thank you! So far I've had no oil consumption issues. I also only have around 450 miles (so that may change) however I'm not too worried about it.
nicely done mate thank you for the video
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice riding
Thank you!
Looks great!
Thanks!
What camera do you use? I’m trying to get my channel going with how many mods I’ve done to mine already.
Hello, I'm using a GoPro 11 camera and its working just fine so far. I've heard good things about the new DJI camera though. Good luck with your channel as well!
@@TRAIL_TIME841 okay, I’ll check it out. Thank you!
@@TRAIL_TIME841 good luck with your channel as well!!
Very nice. Where is that? I did a similar trail near me with that bike. Performed great.
These are trails near my house
Are this the powerlines from mahopac NY that takes you to poughkeepsie just asking?
No, I'm actually south of NY
Blinker!😄
hahaha I know! NOOB
Seems to me this would be a great alternative to a moped for a beach side cruiser chilling along especially for an old fatass like me. What yall think?
Absolutely.
What state are you in? All I got is flatlands her in ND, kinda sucks.
I'm in MD
In australia it's a farm bike, saves walking to check sheep cows water levels, not meant for trail riding, this is ridiculous
Well, this is not Australia.
Is it a overbored 125 . Or a new motor. Can it be tuned to resemble the xr200. Where i ride i am not sure it would have enough power.
I believe this is the same engine previously used by the CRF150F trail bike. I also own an XR200r, and can honestly say that the 200r is faster, lighter and more capable. However, this 150l has been plenty powerful enough for me (5 10"and 160lbs)
What mount are You using?
It's actually a cheap one that I got from Amazon that just straps over the chip of my helmet.
не перегревается?
always stays cool for me.
@@TRAIL_TIME841 Сегодня купил себе такой,но 125 кубиков.....боюсь чтоб не перегрелся....у него же воздушное охлаждение 😳
Yeesh, depending where you live you just posted yourself committing a crime. In the majority of areas I have lived in the USA power lines are not legal to ride. In my current state the transmission lines are granted easement through private property, in other words the power company owns the lines and the poles, but the ground they are on is owned by people like you or me. You have to have permission from the land owner to enter. Sadly it is all to common for people these days to not care or respect other peoples right to private land. In other states I've lived the power company actually does own ground, in in such cases they are ALWAYS well posted. Out of the 4 states I have lived in on both East and West coast I don't actually remember a case when riding transmission lines was legal. Be smart, be safe, be respectful and keep the rubber side down
Why you tryin’ to rain on our parade?
Crime? I didn't see a crime. It's a crime staying in your Mom's Basement, Playing Video games and staring at your I-Phone all day.
@@philvanduyn I'm just giving the heads up as a fellow rider. Not being able to ride someplace won't ruin a day near as fast as getting charged by the cops.
@@sinewave5020 You can ignore a heads up from a fellow rider. You have that right. And just because you don't see what is done as a crime doesn't mean law enforcement and criminal prosecutors don't.
Never had a problem in Maine.
Come on .All the hype. Its a child or girls bike.
Go ride YOUR bike then.
He doesn't have a bike, he's a Nintendo motocross champ.@@TRAIL_TIME841
Did you try one?
Preconception is never a good thing!
Won't feel like a "chids" bike when you fall off doing 50+
What is the green flashing light on dash?
Oh yeah! That's the newbie indicator. I just forgot to turn off the turn signal.
