Harris Lois climbing hills sucks the horsepower up, thats why they rev the piss out of their bikes cause when they land they want ludicrous speed...not just rediculous speed.

@NazarethoNL12 The tire isn't extended, the swingarm is. And extending the swingarm makes it take more torque for the bike to wheelie, which means it lowers the chance the front wheel will come up off the ground.
i once read an article that was based on some hill climb in about 1999/2000. it said the catches got a case of beer and a t-shirt to stand on the side with hooks and grab the bikes and riders as they went past. One catcher even got a bonus broken ankle!
I haven't really payed much attention to Hill climb like this before and never knew they had such a long wheel base with those bikes, they're huge. Some of those looked awkward and a little painful.

@oknasob yea i get that but why not just make it a little bit longer than making the bike double in length, i climb pretty big hills with a normal swingarm, i know the swingarms need to be bigger, but why do they need to be ridiculously big?

Actually the point of the extended swing arm is so that when your going up steeper hills the bike has a lesser chance of wheeling and flipping over.
