This is the easiest bench I've seen so far on UA-cam. I was going to buy some wood but I think I can find a flea market coffee table. I think I'm going to make a tufted one. Love this video. Peace
Thank you, this looks easy peasy. I have been planning very similar job for many months now. Got an old looking coffe table from auction for around 15 quid. I will be using the small foam mattress from a baby cot which has been lying around in my holiday home ( kids have outgrown it) .You video gave me confidence to start the little project.
Omg this is just amazing ... I just moved into my new home and I wanna redecorate but on a budge and this right here will help me do it ..I cant wait to make this
What kind of foam would you suggest? Something like a foam mattress topper in the bedding aisle . I would like to use mine as additional seating in a basement so I don’t want to spend a ton of money on an expensive foam mattress . This is the least complicated video around in how to make this coffee table transformation. THANK YOU!!!
Nice! Thank you. I'm doing this for Thanksgiving but my coffee table is antique so I won't staple anything down. This project is temporary for me anyway.
Beautiful work, thank you for caring & sharing... Only 1 suggestion, as it can also be used in someone's big closet, in front of window & at the end of the bed as mentioned... Happy 2016 to you & yours... ;)
Love the idea but I think not all coffee table legs are conducive to the weight of someone sitting on the bench - like my table- wish there was a instruction video to show how to add strength to the legs.
Will it break it more then one person sits on it? Am assuming it's not that strong since it's not really made for a lot of heavy weight... Don't wanna hurt my guest haha lol
Your master I had myself and two friends sit on the table to test it. It is very stable. But you are correct not all tables will be able to support someone sitting on it. Always good to test it out!

What a fantastic tutorial I’m gonna try it
You did a great job with this, it's my next project and it's how I wanted but no buttons. I'll fit them in but thanks for all your ideas.
Looks very nice, thank you for sharing
Great and simple vid. I'm subbing!
Great look. I really want to do this. I have to find the coffee table.
thank you so much for this video!!! it helped me soo much!!
recommendation: the easiest and fastest way to cut through foam is to use one those electric knives. cheap, fast, clean edges, more accurate.
I love this idea! thx girly!
Great video! What tool did you to cut the foam?
A bread knife works best!
LOVE IT
Ellie Jo, you mentioned the leg was loose. How do you tighten it or make the bench sturdier?
Love it. I would put more foam and some polyester in it. Don't want it to flatten too quick
Can you show us how to make tufted one
Nice! Thank you.

What kind of bias tape do you recommend? Single, or double, Ellie Jo?
Nice!
great thanx! where did you buy the foam from??
anne-marie barnett I bought the foam from Joannes but any fabric store will have it. The foam can be pricy. I recommend using a coupon if you buy it.
nice, thanks!
