Thanks a lot for the video your commentary and rotation displaying addon is omega helpfull! What is your current running build here? Is it can be used on each boss in raid? I have an issue with talents to choose against different bosses, I had configured MRT to display countdown before important healing spells like rad, or rupture and evangelism, but I cant pick up the right talents for this Thanks in advance!
Each boss has a variety of acceptable talent setups really, but for smolderon its pretty strict. You always run mindbender and without uppies on it, but some fights like Tindral sees a lot of switching between uppies/no uppies, and mindbender and shadowfiend. I think if I write a comment so long it frightens you I will lose your attention haha, so I will ask instead which bosses you are wondering most about? I can answer in greater detail if you'll let me know ;D
@@Bobzgfx You won’t lose my attention 😇 Thanks a lot for the quick response, to be honest I am wondering about tindral and fyrakk mostly, because they seems to be hardest one for me in pug raid
@@merchanticus I assume heroic? In heroic because of nerfs and gear right now I don't see shadowfiend really being played. Shadowfiend is just more strength on a longer cooldown, which makes no sense when all that power is sent into overhealing. I'd play mindbender, probably paired with uppies at the expense of divine aegis. Divine aegis for me is roughly 2.5% of my healing, which you can probably make up with uppies if its something you need to fill gaps between mindbender uses. Some people really like overloaded with light, and the full uppies build. Its not a bad choice, its just not very good compared to the other more pet oriented builds.
Both my priests are somewhere around 47% haste and 25% crit. I will warn you though that those hps numbers in a vacuum don't really say or mean anything, you could be doing that on mythic smolderon, and it would be very, very bad, or in a key, in which case its probably quite good. If you are looking at improving as a disc priest, secondary stats are also NEVER going to be why you are doing poorly. Haste is a bit better than other stats, but if you are struggling, then any attention spent on secondary stats is better spent working on your gameplay ;D
Ummm I have a question Do I have to put atonement to all raid members? Radians puts only 5 on random people and if I want to do it with renew I will run out of mana soon On m+ it's just atonement and damage rotation but idk in raid how can I put this buff on all party In your video I don't get it why health bars getting green? Is that mean atonment active on those players or it's another buff. ?
The healthbars becoming green is indeed them receiving atonement. This is just my grid2 profile. If you have only played disc in m+, the spec becomes a lot more difficult in raid. You want to go as wide as possible with the ramps you pair with your pets, so you indeed do apply a lot of atonements, on Smolderon I aim for 20 for each tank soak, and 15-18 for intermissions. So long as you're not wasting mana between ramps, and you are running shield discipline this is usually not going to oom you. If you haven't played disc in raid before though, I really suggest looking over the guides over at warcraftpriests, raid disc priest is VERY different from m+.
@@Bobzgfx yeah it's difficult in raid I mean I can't even heal like a 450 item lvl in raid Around 100k with 486 ilvl So I'm watching pov raid soo I can understand how they put atonment on all party without wasting mana Before I was just casting renew and rapture and rapidly radians for atonment ....well after 2 min mana was around 60-50k 🤣 Also I never changed m+ talent to raid 😑 should try that too but I don't think it's gonna help
@@umbran_witch_80 I will link you the warcraftpriests discord under this, but you seem to be under a misapprehension. The goal of disc priest in raid *is not to keep high uptime on atonements on as many players as possible,* the goal in raid is to ramp, as seen in the video itself I only apply atonements with purpose, 15 or 14 seconds ahead of the damage event in my timers I start applying them, so when the big damage hits, I am ready and dealing damage. Your comment tells me you play this as though you want high atonement uptime, but I cannot stress enough that this is not the case. Not always, but there a few good arguments. On Smolderon atleast the damage events you ramp for are 30 seconds apart, making your radiances quite difficult to have back up perfectly each time, sometimes you might wait 1 second or so for the 2nd radiance, putting mindbender there helps you still hit your ramp in time, since you are moving a mandatory global you'd otherwise ud after radiances to between them. Another more universal aspect of this is that the global that mindbender trigger between 2 radiances will let you see where your atonements go from the first radiance. This makes your 2nd radiance far easier to use, not worrying about an overlap or lost time while readjusting your cursor on your frames.
Do you guys tell your melee with overheated to go behind the boss or off to the right side so your brand soakers have a "channel" to move through to the left side for pool/geysers drop off?
We ran with the strat from Biceps video on this fight in this guild. We had tank soaks behind the boss, towards the lava, and the overheated were infront of the boss, whilst the healing debuff pools were dropped as we moved to the left, towards the outer edge of the platform.
nice, i just ran this for 332k a tad behind you!... i see some disc just stacking haste and not caring about diminishing returns.. Are you finding the same? I'm only running about 38% haste raid buffed and sometimes have really tight CD reduction on bender/fiend and would love to be able to run a 1min fiend on fights like tindral.. think 40% or even 43% haste is better? I see you run around 7500 haste?
My main has 50% haste (Chaddaddy) and my alt (Chadmommy) has around 43% haste. I don't feel a lot of difference, but I like the way haste feels, so I run a lot of it. It is suboptimal, but the impact to my hps is likely a lot smaller than I'd ever really find myself caring about. Feelycrafting a bit, 50%haste on smolderon did feel a bit better..

Its incorrect to call it a bug actually, but essentially, the smite from our 4 set activates a bit after the casted smite, so if you spellque penance RIGHT after smite, you get a buffed penance from the casted smite, then the 4 set smite casts after we've consumed it, and gives us another buff to our next shadow spell (in this case shadow word death.)
