Early Elizabethan England 1558-1588: The Revolt of the Northern Earls

Back once more to early Elizabethan England, we're in in 1569 and the Revolt of the Northern Earls.
Some of the Catholic landowners at the time were unhappy with Elizabeth as queen and wanted to return England to Catholicism. The consequences had a lasting effect on Elizabeth's attitude toward Catholics and began a period of threats against her life.
