Welcome to the History Teacher website and thanks for dropping in. I am an history teacher with 10 years experience, I wanted to create interactive revision resources that my students would engage with and actually do! I found that one of the biggest problems I had with my GCSE classes was that the students who were going to do well had good revision practice already in place, but my 3/4 borderline kids had no idea where to start and very infrequently did any revision. I started out making these videos for my own students which is why the first few videos are out of sequence. I was just aiming to fill the gaps or explain concepts for their homework tasks. I was absolutely overwhelmed when thousands of students from all over the country started watching. So The History Teacher was born…

History will repeat itself 🏴🙏🏴
Well, I'm all ready for Sunday now. Over to you Gareth.
Amazing video .. Your name ought to be The amazing history teacher. Not The history teacher
I know I'm 3 years too late, but I hope you replaced your smoke alarm battery. It was distracting though your video was very helpful! 😊
I'm struggling with American West and Medicine in Medieval time including the medicine in war. Could you please do a rundown on the course😢😢
history repeating itself soon
Late night revision the day before my mock time to binge watch
❤
if you don't like any of the candidates can you still go to the voting poll and not cross any box
Absolutely! it's actually better to cross all the boxes. That way there is no confusion, and you have definitely spoiled your paper. It gets counted as a spoiled paper.
bro i have history mocks tom
Could you please do videos on detente and invasion of Afghanistan
got a mock on Tuesday, aiming for a 9 - thanks for the videos!
Could you do a medicine through time gsce vids please (:
Hey there miss So does the 3 paragraph that I do I need to right one for agree then another for disagree and then the 3 one what do I do on that I’ve got my mocks tmw 😭
So the whole thing is your opinion. For example. P1. I agree with this statement. PEEA. P2 however some people might disagree with me when they say ... PEEA. P3. But I would say ... (Final agree point) PEEA. So you are consistent in your view throughout, but you are acknowledging that some people would disagree with you. This works whether you agree or disagree. Does this make sense?
Thanks 👍
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you fervently for all your GCSE History videos, which came in really helpful before my History exams last month! They are really high quality so thank you so much for putting the time and effort in. 😄 I'm currently about to start on making a video of my own for an economics project (first time I will have made a video) and found Powtoon online. Since it looks similar to your video style, I wonder if this is the editing software you use, and if so would you recommend the free version for a one-off project? PS. I am only 16 so I can't vote but I was so enthusiastic that I registered the very day I turned 16 anyway!
Hey that sounds like a great idea and I'm glad you found my videos so useful. I use doodly. Which costs a bit upfront but it's a one time cost so it soon pays for self. I then also use Adobe Creative Suite for the final edit and the audio editing but strongly recommended using Audacity to record your audio separately as the sound recording on the animation software is usually quite bad as my earlier videos show 😂
You helped me get my 9 in history 2 years ago and now your back to help me vote! Thank you 😊
Wow a 9 is amazing 😍
❤
This should be implemented in schools, very good step miss!
Exams finished and she's still here for us 😂
Life skills with the history teacher! 😂 love it
Happy to help as always :)
By the way, do you think you'll ever cover the Britain and empire gcse sub-topics?@@TheHistoryTeacherUK
It's not on the road map right now but never say never
Any chance you could do a video on how to answer Q3?
My history class calls you the ‘coffee lady’😂
so helpful got my history mock tomorrow thank you so much
Hi miss, thank you so much for these videos. I genuinely do not think i would of done well without them! I found the Nazi Germany paper to go especially swiftly thanks to you! I will reply to this comment once i get my results. I really hope i get a 6/7 as history is definitely one of my hardest subjects. :)
Sounds like it went really well! Congratulations 🎉 please come back and let me know what grade you got!
i didnt add quotes for how far you would agree with an interpretation will i get capped at how many marks i will get
It should be ok as long as you referred directly to the interpretation but yes it is better to quote. Here's the thing. It's done now and there is nothing you can do to change it. I doubt you've gone too wrong so forget it and enjoy your summer ⛱️
