This is exactly why I love this game ❤ there's so much freedom to do what you want, when you want, however you'd like. It's such a good contrast to some other games I've played.
I get that you can get tons more iridium by staying in skull cavern until you pass out. On the other hand, the personal sense of shame from losing a pass-out-less run is much, much worse.
As I have optimize my play, it is impossible for me to not pass out. I always pass out on early day of game as I know that I lose nothing as I have 0 gold and I'll level up my profession so I'll wake up full energy regardless.
Do bring your pickaxe with you to the skull caverns because soentimes you enter a layer where you're surrounde by rocks and no where to place bombs. You'll need to clear one tile to place the bomb.
Additionally, if you want to use your tools while they are being upgraded, you can add a friend to your farm, have them put their tools in a chest and then use those until you get your tools back. Especially useful for watering cans.

Grass starters can be planted in winter and if they are placed on winter 28 and remain until spring 1 they should have a 5x effect than normally placing on the last day of a season.

1:33 Yes!!! Absolutely! I'm on my first save file (vanilla) and I always plan ahead for each person's birthday that is coming up. For example, I'll plan just as a season is coming to an end (or whenever the last person's birthday of that season is) and keep track of everyone's birthday 🎂🎈 It's an easy way to get max hearts super quickly and you'll eventually recognize everyone's loved/liked gifts too which can come in handy! I'm only getting through summer of Y3 and I have 100+ hrs. The only characters that I don't have at max hearts are Penny, Krobus, Dwarf, and my baby Lol
slingshots are so tricky to use on console, it makes me sad. so i run around with stacks of bombs instead. wish it was easier to use the slingshot though. feels like playing on PC has a ton of speed advantages because of the use of a mouse :(
I personally hate the PC controls for this game versus console. I was excited to have it on both until I tried doing anything on my farm, took way longer to do a simple task like clearing grass.
did u know? if you hold shift while you craft, buy o pick items from chests, you can pick a bigger amount, instead of holding right click (just like minecraft when you pick a half stack) you can buy 5 seeds by every click while holding shift and you can pick a half stack of items in your chests
the forester profession is still good for the earlier game, after that its worth changing because right there you dont need as much wood as in the beginning when you wantet to place duzens of kegs and build buildings around your farm
Actually geode crushers are more time efficient as not only do you save a lot of time and effort of lugging a full inventory of artifacts from Clint’s to your chests you also save bunch of time. One coal is the equivalent of 10 wood if I were to use charcoal kilns. I can convert 1 hardwood into 5-10 regular wood with the wood chipper (96% chance) or 15-20 wood (2% chance).
There is a birthday that is kinda of a pain to gift, the wizard sharing a birthday with the night market rotation, you probably don’t have an iridium quality loved gift ready by the time his tower closes for the day.
5:30 I only play on coop and my half of the farm always becomes a factory farm of coops and barns with a few crops to put in the keg, then my friends half is always made to look pretty.
I get my iridium ore from 350 Statues of Perfection that I scammed Grandpa out of :) They usually give me between 1,500 and 2,000 iridium ores per day. I put them all in the Quarry so they are out of the way :)

Considering they cost 8,000g each, and their produce makes slightly less than that of an ostrich which cost nothing but time. I would say ostriches are much more profitable, but I would love to hear why you think the opposite!

@@zaineoakley5555 Oooo I wasn't aware of this. Although I agree in a vacuum, that sheep would be more profitable. You have so many other uses for artisan instead, such as, for pigs making truffle oil or making wine and potentially honey if you're on that train. Profession swapping in my opinion is way overvalued because it is still 10,000g everytime you do it which definitely adds up over time. And in the vacuum that was discussed, sheep still require an initial 8,000g so it would still take longer for the sheep to pay out with a minimal 100g profit margin.

His tone is OBVIOUSLY dramatic And for the record these tips REDUCES stress for me in the game Now I will just let my Jade marinate in my single Crystallarium while I am not using it so can i farm more staircases and save my stone for a farm buildings and building upgardes I am not a min-maxer by any means but I would have completed the community centre in Year 10 or 15 instead of Year 3 which I only can because of videos like these. If left to my own devices I would have been SO much more stressed and frustrated (still am sometimes, will use mods next) and would have gotten bored with how much little is happening in the game
Iridium truffles sell for less than truffle oil if you have Artisan, so the advice about the foraging upgrades makes no sense. Hardwood is a way more valuable resource than purple leeks etc.
Now I'm not a huge "min-maxer" in this game, but if you have a ton of pigs there's probably merit in the foraging perks because that would be a LOT of trufles, and oil machines cost resources to craft too at 20 hardwood each. Can get pretty expensive material wise as opposed to just getting a stack of purple truffles (since a lot will be doubled) to sell without hassle. If you only have a few pigs though then yeah it's probably not worth it.
@@ninjasuikai if you use the other perk and do a little bit of desert farming you can get hundreds of hardwood tbh. That's what makes it good, you get hardwood on basically every tree.
Once I've got a stable for my horse and have upgraded my house, I don't have much use for hardwood. So while I like to go with the additional wood and hardwood early game, I usually switch a couple years into the game. The nicest thing about iridium forage is that it stacks more easily.
It depends on the farm and the farm layout. Not only that, but the villagers do love some forageble items. Sandy, Sam, Linus, Gus, Robin, Krobus, and George all come to mind if you want to befriend them quickly.
This is almost step by step the same as the other Dos and Donts video , I mean couldn’t you have at least switched up the order felt like I was watching the same exact video but in a guys voice .

Yeah, I have the return sceptre, so I just teleport out around 1:30 AM. Win win for me.

It's not hard to avoid passing out. In an already easy game, that's an incredibly low bar for a type of challenge run.
