    I am just starting out with the wire writing! I was looking through the comments to see what gauge you were using. My question is what tools are necessary for wire writing?

      I fought it for a long time, for the 1st couple of years of my business actually. Everyone kept asking me for custom name necklaces and I did not know how to make them, but demand pushed me to learn!! I started with one word and mastered it, "love". Then I mastered the words for hope and faith... Before long I was getting the hang of bending the wire into letters... And now I don't need to look at any paper to make any name :). I have made a ton of custom name jewelry... I continue to get orders for them. I enjoy the work. Can I really call it work? I have a lot of fun ;) The greatest joy is getting feedback from the customers that they love their jewelry. ♡

    Would you ever consider selling some premade letters on pieces of wire? I am thinking maybe six letters per piece of wire so that I could have a template to look at to practice?

    What pliers do you recommend for wire writing ? Is there a specific brand you recommend? Also, do you have a source for a template for the letters?

    Very nice, what is the name of the font you are using? Also what gauge wire?

    • @Wirewrap
      @Wirewrap  4 роки тому +1

      I'm using 18 gauge wire for the tutorial. This is a good size for name for necklaces. If you want to make bracelets I recommend 16 gauge. For learning how to make wire letters, I recommend 18 gauge. Use a wire that is dead soft or easy to bend... Not a lot of spring.
      The font is my own. It's a combination of a lot of different fonts I have looked up, and then modified to work with wire writing. There are so many ways to wire write, so find a font you like and then copy it on paper with one single line using a pencil and imagine how the wire would wrap on top of itself or behind to make each letter and transition into the next letter.

    Hi what type of wire do you use? Soft?

    • @Wirewrap
      @Wirewrap  Рік тому +1

      If available I really like using the hard wire. It's going to be more durable especially if you are making something that is going to be worn, but if you use a soft wire you can hammer out the curves to strengthen the wire.
