- This video has been long in the making! Here's a non-exhaustive list of some of my favorite addons for STALKER Anomaly 1.5.1. To be fair, it doesn't even cover half what I'm using but I had to start somewhere.
I did not cover most of Grok's absolutely amazing addons on purpose and you should definitely check them out, I'm gonna do a video on GAMMA soon and I'll use this opportunity to talk about them in details there.

I love your videos, I've told you this before. This video was no exception!
I think something that is missing is discussing mods relative to the "canon" experience. I recently *finally* took the advice and am playing ZRP SoC, and it makes sense.
There are so many addons that are quite extensive in their changes, and it would be very cool to have an informed perspective on "how much am I changing my game".
Explaining *why* something is "more" or "less" canon or "as-intended", is most welcome.

@@leptir1 I see what you mean. In my mind its actually pretty straightforward. Let's say you have a friend who wants to get started with the Stalker universe, my advice would be:
- Play the 3 games, in order, either vanilla or with a very simple mod that just fixes bugs, crashes etc... to get the "real" experience and get to know the lore.
- Play Anomaly, vanilla, to discover the biggest stalker mod/project to date
After that it's pretty much whatever, try any other "big" mod that are all somewhat based on Anomaly anyway (EFP, RTTN, Dead Air etc...), mod your own anomaly with addons, go back to one of the original games modded, the possibilities are endless after that!

Actually the mod creator of "Crows Murder" -Ethylia and me worked together on the Apocalyptic Blowouts and it works fine for me.

Some mods that I'd recommend to anyone:
Visible body: Does exactly what it says on the tin, added immersion.
4k echo detector, 4k bear detector, Better bullet casings, HD mounted PKMs, Inviting Upscaled Corpses 4k, High Quality Boxes, High Res Mutants, High Res PDA Maps: Just some standalone texture upres mods that shouldn't conflict with anything.
Blood Pool + Realistic Blood + Death Animations + Dismemberment: Your enemies won't know what hit them.
Loadout companions: Nice to have the option for more varied starts and can also just ignore.
He is with me: Makes your followers inherit your faction while they're under your command, resolves a lot of weird engagement situations.
Soundscape Overhaul: Removes the fake mutant sounds in levels and re-uses the same sounds for actual distant mutants, much more immersive and useful for route planning. Makes quiet mutants scarier too as they're harder to anticipate in comparison. Best of all is how it works for Controllers giving you some forewarning of their approach to find some cover.
Companion Inventory Unlock: Great for overriding a follower's weird choice of gun.
Mutant nerfs: Basically just makes Cats less ridiculously OP. Someone make a mod that removes Cats entirely please, they're total jank that doesn't match the rest of the game.
European UNISG Names (or DLTX ver or included with LTTZ DC): Just makes more sense.
Backpack Freedom of Movement DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): If you have animated backpack, this simply makes it so you can keep moving while opening it.
No Drug Limit: Because if you're dying of thirst you shouldn't be prevented from drinking water
More Starting Locations: Why not? All lore friendly. Works with Story Mode too.
Rats Are Not Enemies DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): Basically just prevents NPCs from going off into the hills chasing Rats for no reason.
Banjaji's Task giver's Demise DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): Makes it so you only lose rep from actually failing a quest rather than from the quest giver deciding to go on a suicide mission miles away from where you are.
Bigger Surrender Chance DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): Doesn't really affect balance, just makes for some more interesting engagements.
Mutant Jumping Anti DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): Makes NPCs actually able to defend themselves against Snorks.
Smoother Progression DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): Removes some of the annoyance of early game upgrades and instead makes late game upgrades harder, giving you more reasons to experiment.
Safe Start: Now you won't arrive in the Agroprom Underground half a second away from having your head blown off by a spawn camping Bandit.
Bribe Faction Fix: By default bribes only remove bounties, this makes it so you can bribe factions to not shoot on sight allowing you to talk to them.
Hideout Furniture: Worth it just for the keyboard.
TB's New Stashes + No Unmarked Stashes: Tons more stash location variety and makes it so you can't cheese them. Better rewards to offset that though.
Keywrapper: More types of custom keybinding allowed, extra handy if you use peripherals like Stream Deck.
Storylines DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): Not a minimod at all, this is three story mods in one and they're really good. DLTX version is properly translated to English.
More Dynamic Tasks DLTX (from MiniMod Repository): More freeplay content, why not?

Yes! Exactly this. Small amazing addons that don't conflict with anything and make the game more enjoyable, there's nothing better than that :D
Great list! Massive fan of *Level Transition Sim* myself, which adds somewhat realistic time jumps when you move from map to map. Really forces you to plan out long journeys, bringing extra supplies and maybe sleeping gear, since there's a good chance you can inadvertently end up outdoors at night now - something I never find happening to me in vanilla. Good to use with Dynamic Nocturnal Mutants.

It really adds to immersion, since it's stated that some of the distances between transitions are multi-hour walks through old tunnels or uphill.
Not even joking found myself stuck at around 9pm with like 5 other stalkers I was in the southern area of Dark valley, yes on vanilla with no beds and no sleeping gear. I almost lost myself just listening to the radio when they bolted for cover as a psystorm was approaching. Unfortunately a stalker I really liked, Dennis Mammoth glitched his pathfinding and... Well he's one with the zone now. 10/10.
Known of the Stalker franchise for a while, but never played it until I saw Anomaly... and then jumped into it... I've been looking for mods and found the videos you've done to be really nice to look to see what is out there... even at a year or more after publishing them.

There's a mod for Stalker Anomaly called "cozy campfires", which adds a simple feature: when sitting near a lit campfire, your health regen is boosted.
Fits perfectly with all these conversations.
Are camp fire stories a mod or a feature? I recently started playing STALKER with CoP so I'm a little confused

Very cool. I was not aware of most of these addons, I love looking at other people's modlists because I always find new things. My favorite mod is "YAWM" or "Yet Another Winter Mod", it does what it says on the tin, it puts snow everywhere. It completely changes the feel of The Zone, though it does make those monolith jerks hard to see lol (maybe that's a feature???)
I really need to check out one of this Winter mods you're right, some areas must look pretty amazing with snow if its well made!
@@CheekiBreekiTv Yeah, I also find that I like to turn the population modifiers down when I run a winter mod, nothing breaks the whole "desolate unforgiving zone" vibe like a million stalkers running around everywhere lol

Great video. Only really needed core addons, no fancy bs shaders that will cut your FPS in half
You should do a no-trader run (preferably Sin, UNISG, or Renegade). It would suit your hoarder nature very well and it would be a great challenge (you could implement some addons, loot config changes, and self-imposed rules to make it more bearable and fun). Also, there's nothing better than seeing a UA-camr suffer in your favorite game.
You know that for a future Ironman run I was actually planning to do a no-trader run! It's gonna be painful yeah so I need to wait to have the time to sink in that ahahh.
Playing with some addons to make it still really hard but enjoyable is a very good point tho!
I don’t actually remember the mods name but there’s one that makes the AI more smarter and mutants are gonna bleed when they get shot and other more realistic features that I don’t remember you might wanna cover that

Good addons. I have some with EFP, but others like the tag when looking at someone is super useful.
HD textures for food drug and drink animations are my favorite because the textures look so much crisp and better.
I just started playing this game and boy is it amazing
I love pre-blowout murder, I can no longer play the game without this.
People might think this makes the game easier and they are WRONG.
This seriously helps if you are in an open space area with next to no cover (like the swamps or car cemetery), giving you some chance to survive by running like hell to the closest cover you can find. This also made me paranoid every time a crow caws in the game, 100% immersive.
I'd love to see someone mod a set of climbing harnesses & gear into this game. Imagine all the items. Ropes of varied length, ascenders, carabiners, anchors, swivels, pullies, descenders, sit harnesses, belt harnesses, full body harnesses. Picture filling your bag up with all that stuff.
I'm a rock climbing nerd so don't tell me that xD

How I would restrict myself when using the artifact locator would be to buy one for every area. So I buy 1, I can only keep it in one map. And when buying more I can have one for every map to make it less game breaking, more expensive
In Call of Pripyat there were missions from the scientists to put sensors in the various anomalies and afterwards they could tell you if there was an artifact in that anomaly. I don't remember if those missions are in the game Anomaly or not. Maybe a system like that would work well with the locator, it only works for a given anomaly if you put a sensor in it for the scientists, and maybe you could even emissions break the sensors so they need to be repaired or replaced, or bandits could steal them and you have to go get it back for some extra brutality

Im playing Anomaly and i instaled some mods for animations like healing and eating but aint working or for guns so where should i put my mods i found one folder called mods

I just installed a new icon mod for the HD models mod. It also changes the contrast of the ammo etc making everything more clear it’s a great mod!
there is addon that makes companions stay further away from you. when you have companions and you stay still they always just keep walking into you and pushing you constantly. with this mod they no longer do that very good. another one is companions dont die mod. its balanced because its not like they have invincibility they still take damage but they get downed on the floor and get up after a while. another mod i really love is the knife in binocular and pistol slot. it lets you put a knife/pistol in the binocular slot. its very usefull because now you can have 2 weapons pistol and knife all at once. Another good one is that helmets and backpacks are seperated for all suits so you can wear helmet and backpack with nosorog but its balanced so its not base stats and very good for making builds

Can you activate the Dynamic and Nocturnal Mutant Mods to an existing play through or do you have to start a fresh game? They sound just like what Anomaly needs because I think the vanilla experience seems quite empty for the most part when it comes to mutants.
The thing i hate abt the dynamic nocturnal mutants is that they come in waves at night even wiping out vet stalker guards on your base. Chimeras and bloodsuckers are one thing but the annoying tushkanos swarm you while you're busy with the bigger mutants. Idk if i did something wrong with the installation but this mod kinda forces you to sleep at night rather than enjoy the added dangers in the night

Excuse me Cheeki Breeki, without trying to annoy you, ok? Are you using Mod Org Organizer 2 in correspondence with those shown Mod´s or did you just simply installed the gamedatapacks´n stuff directly over the main Anomaly-Folders? I´m kind of new to the scene and I would like to do everything right from the start? So. . .
No I'm using MO2. There's no downside to it (if used properly) as you can more easily solve bugs/conflicts if they happen.
If you copy directly in mods in gamedata and there's any issue, you're pretty much good to delete everything and install again :l
@@CheekiBreekiTv Hello Cheeki Breeki and thank´s for the reply. Could you maybe in the future provide a tutorial for us new Stalker-Trainees? It would really really help what to do step by step including swaping the mod´s and their load-orders. I mean, it´s probably my own stupidity but the 1st already is divided into one main file and two additional optional files and I think I can´t because of this get this feature get to work properly. . . The faction patches are way off limits, regardless what I do. . . Sorry for all the ruckus.
@@gregstar2091 Generally every mod that has a tricky install will have instructions on the mod page.
But as a general rule I will install the "main mod" (using MO2), start the game, see if it works, and then install optional files if I need them. Optional files will always need to be above the main files in the load order in MO2.
Most mods with options will have an UI where you can pick the options directly (just use the option "import mod" in MO2 and it will import the zip file directly).

It's just a little detail but i like high res pda maps and some mods that changes the reticles of various scopes.
You have got to take a look at Desolation for Anomaly, still in development but a total game changer. What they've already got is technically more impressive than Gunslinger

Locator helped me to identify "infertile" anomalous fields, and than to find and collect artifacts, that bugged well below the ground level.
In debug mode, one can write command demo_record 1 , "fly" as a free spectator camera all over the map, descent vertically on signature of bugged artifact, collect it by pressing "f" near it (it'll goes straight to the inventory). When all bugged artifacts on current map are collected, by pressing ESC camera will return to our stalker.
If artifact needs to be find by detector, while "flying" press Enter, stalker will teleport to the current camera location (enable god mode as well, just in case...).
Signature locator shows also "wandering" artifacts, the ones that spawn outside of anomalous fields and roll aimlessly through the map.
Looks like I need to update to 1.5.2 for the food and drinks animations mod to work?
I made a mod that adjusts the rpm of the svu and svd. So there’s no long pause between shots you can spam them essentially and nimbles svu is actually full auto now. Deer lights responsive snipers
You´re the author of that one? Absolute legend man, it was a pain to use the SVU which is otherwise one of my favorite guns
someone help me!! im playing in 1.5.2 and the MCM is not working, it crashes if i use it
I just got the game, should I start off with the vanilla game or should I just get all of the mods immediately?
im tryint to use mcm and nit pickers but it says mcm overwrites loose files in nitpickers
There should be a mod that removes the 'flavor text' of the description of items, and requires you to check it in details instead, which gives you the vital info you need.
Or maybe shorten the description when highlighting items, and only show the full description when in details.
You will notice how huge the tooltip box is when obscuring the rest of your inventory, that's why its very much delayed to 1.5-2.0 seconds... If you used instant tooltip mod, it might end up obscuring the inventory much quicker.
Any addon to make the zone more alive? With actual attacks between factions, something that can make you feel that there's something else happening. For example, duty actually trying to conquer the zone, stalker moving around looking for artifacts, ecologist researching on places and more to the North, Clear Sky Trying to recover... Etc... Any suggestion? I found the Living Zone addon, but, I dont know if can make the game crash or something

Thank you for the guide. I'm pretty new to Stalker in general and my first taste in the universe was Gamma. MY PC simply dies on me after a week or so of playing Gamma, so I stopped playing. My theory is that Gamma simply cannot handle 21:9 ultra-wide and over-works my PC. I'm going to do some troubleshooting and start small with Anomaly and work in mods at a time to see if its more stable for me personally.

So I don't know which of these are included in GAMMA, but do you know if these will work with that modpack? Or is this just for anomaly?
Well GAMMA itself is a modular modpack so technically you can add/remove any mods you want to it; I say technically because most likely you'll run into conflicts, GAMMA using so many mods already, but on paper anything is possible :)

The ID mod is very useful, but personally I like to sneak up on a group of stalkers by a campfire and listen to their conversation (bandits, renegades and soldiers have a unique voice with bandits and renegades standing out from a distance) and look at them until I can make out a patch or until they start shooting at me.

Idk why but melee quick attack seem to not work - it only work with knives? Not with hatchet?
I never tried with something else than a knife to be fair so I have no idea!
Hello Sir, watching some of your videos and the like, I was wondering if you have ever decided on making your on mod pack with MO2 would be awesome the reason I ask is that as much of stalker you play and knowing for the most part what works and don't you could maybe think of a making one. :) with all the bells and whistles ... HD Models, Atmospherics, Sounds, Qol, with all great addon's and the like .... was just curious if that might happen someday? As I myself play different mod packs myself like Ultra Zone, G.A.M.M.A Dead Zone, Dead Air, and build my own as well base game with MO2 runs great with just a few choice mods and few of my own simple modifications. Factions ID is great can't play with out it myself I do see the links and thank you for that as well. I run all mine on Stalker Anomaly v1.52 see some of my game on graphics look on my channel.

The mod Footsies increases the volume of NPC and mutant footsteps. No more getting stealth killed by a boar.

im extremely new to stalker anomaly, but recently they have updated the game to 1.5.2, are all of these mods able to run on newer version?
Not necessarily, some mods take time to get updated. Check on their individual pages, it will clearly say if they're compatible yet or not!

I havn't a set mod pack right now as I'm trying a ton of different things, but I might do one when I'm done!
Is there any mods for stealth.?
Dynamic Mutants is cool and all but completely breaks underground maps, f.e. when you go in Radar and you run against the clock, the usual 2 or 3 bloodsuckers get a whole lot more company and its pretty much impossible to make it without cheating or straight up endgame gear
Sadly the Dynamic mod pack is not inside Gamma 0.9.1 .

I don't know about the first addon, but I normally just point the cross hair at someone and if it turns red I shoot.

@@CheekiBreekiTv thank you! Your video was very helpful, quick question, how do I get a minimap and how do I know if my character is sleepy hungry or thirsty? There’s no bars and the bar mod for hunger thirst and sleep doesn’t work
@@GhostManPRO There's a keybind you can change in the options to show/hide minimap.
If you dont use the mod to have hunger/thirst bars in your inventory, the regular icons will appear bottom left of your screen when you are hungry etc...
@@CheekiBreekiTv Thank you! I actually just found a mod called "modern UI alternative" it makes the inventory UI alot nice AND adds the hunger, thirst, and sleep bars. Its the whole package haha.

I used to play Stalker so much long ago and recently discovered and downloaded Anomaly, I discovered it a few days after patch 1.5.2 dropped and so right now from what I can see I can't really use any mods, very frustrating. I feel like things like the faction ID should be incorporated to base Anomaly and just have it as an option, and things like Persistent weather why is that just not already built in, thinking about maybe rolling back to 1.5.1 so I can actually use mods but I assume my save won't be compatible.
Most addons are still compatible with 1.5.2
Does it work on 1.5.2?
