Yumm that looks SCRUMPTIOUS! Too bad frozen artichokes are almost as bad as canned with all the citric acid they saturate the artichokes with. They taste horrible even after rinsing them off. Also in the markets, I never find any raw artichokes with much stem (which is the best part besides the heart). You practically have to grow them yourself to get them with the stem (or know someone near you who does). I don't think most people realize you can eat the stem.
Look for frozen artichoke hearts in Greek specialty stores. They are excellent.
@@mikegilbert5434 Sound like a plan! I don't know if there are any around here though. Indian, Latino and Asian grocers are easier. Anyway, I'm making it with fresh artichokes. I managed to find some with a few inches of the stem left on at Trader Joe's.
