Microsoft has of course already changed how this works. This was such a great workaround and my end users loved it. Our company is still in the process of implementing teams so a lot of people aren’t used to using it in this way yet. I’m sure I can dissect the url and get it to work but my end users won’t do that or even have any idea how to do that.

I used to tag colleagues through comments, as this is sharing the perspective and therefore also the opened bookmark when leaving the comment. That way one can directly start a conversation on it.
It would be really beneficial if one could print out all personal/report bookmarks and also exporting them to PowerPoint directly. What do you think?

I was just wondering that this week too. First thing that came to thought for me was to create the personal bookmark for myself, then open Commenting, and tag the users needed while the same bookmark was active on my screen. That way I’d be creating the bookmark in the Commenting as well.
But I definitely like your trick about grabbing the URL from Share in Teams link. You can do some other tricks with that URL then. Good stuff!

Outstanding video, clear and concise. Does the "Chat in Teams" personal bookmark link also retain any changes that were made using the "Personalize this Visual" feature? We have found that the direct URL and chat URL do not retain these changes.

This is one of the things that I don't like about Power BI - way way too may workarounds & not enough straight up solutions.
Appreciate the kind word! There are definitely many ways to do something in Power BI. In that sense, it doesn't constrict you either.
Any workaround for this in the meanwhile, without opening it in Teams directly?

One additional component that might be helpful for recipients of the link is to add a personal bookmark on the destination page. I believe that the link recipient can also select "make default view". This will allow the end-user to return to this report with the filters that you applied.
Any advice on how enable the Chat in Teams button?

That is a great question. Gonna be honest. I don't know. I will try and find out though.

After several days of testing the bookmark link eventually stopped working but the link to the tab was available. Not sure if others had the same issue
The URL for the Teams link has changed, and now this option doesn't work anymore.. :( Can someone advise?

Teams copy paste link feature no longer works in browser. Instead it is redirecting it to Teams app

It looks like Microsoft has made a change to the way this works. Now when you share the link from from "Chat in Teams:" it has the report open up inside of Teams. Anyone found a way around this?
Yes, the new behavior is not as ideal as what Adam shows in the video. You can click "Open in web client" so it will stay in the browser but I wish it worked as shown.

Couple of months. Instead of an app.powerbi URL, now the report's URL gets included and encoded in a Team URL...
