    Pretty cool also helps when you're ungodly fast, some of these plays weren't a deke just him burning past a slow moving defender

    I really enjoyed the Attack the Heels term. Such an informative video, hockey players should be sitting down on rest days and watching these videos. Not sure what you want as a career, but consider becoming an analyst for an NHL club.

    I play D and I want real drills for helping me close the gap at game speeds, and how I should be pressuring wingers. I'm ok at driving them to the boards but that's about it.

      Gerhard Symons I have an article on my blog called how to play 1on1's like an NHL defenseman. And in the membership area I have detailed analyses on how to play 1on1's like an NHL defenseman if that helps.

      Ok thanks. I just came across the channel and subscribed. I'll look at your videos and take it from there! I'm highly motivated to improve and have opportunities to try tactics in game situations.

      Just step up and wreck guys at the blue line. They won't try it again. LOL

      How does that work in practice... I'm skating backwards, so how do I magically reverse and propel myself forward to step-up?

    You should be on a hockey network, you actually provide insightful hockey analysis. Most hockey "analysts" just waste TV air by talking about hypothetical, unrealistic trade scenarios.

    Do you think he knows when the opposing team is at the end of a shift? Like he's already one of the fastest guys in the league with the quickest start. So just imagine when he does turn it on and the other team is dead.

    Karlssons overpowering skating speed shall be taken into account in his dekes.as welll

      Vara Varala Most players are about as fast. Few use it as well. That's the key.

    Isn’t the puppet vs puppeteer thing a paradox?

    • @Train2point0
      @Train2point0  6 років тому

      RawbHD in what sense?

    • @rawbhd4477
      @rawbhd4477 6 років тому

      on the ice, technically by being the puppeteer you are in turn being controlled by the defenders position. So at all times, you are the puppeteer and the puppet.

    • @Train2point0
      @Train2point0  6 років тому

      RawbHD You’re right. You are reacting to the defenders current position. Then your movement and momentum should dictate their momentum (if you’re good)
