you forgot to hold shift against the asteroid to cling to it - you kept drifting off and wasting precious drill power
Stonehawk that's a great tip! Didn't know you could do it on the asteroid too.

dumb question, the base at the beginning, do we keep it or it's just to start ?
can it be a part of the ship , even for ftl ?
Jos Pel Not a dumb question, you get to keep it. you can dock it with the ship to FTL it. You can dock it with other modules to make a larger station.

The panel is not broken.. it is for the elevator..the elevator is an airlock... I think there should be a extra panel by the cargo door to depressurize the cargo area.
Hi Julio, when you click on it, it doesn't depressurize or re-pressurize the lift area or the cargo area, never got it to work, were you able to? You make a good point on a panel for the cargo hold, never was able to find one.
Works for me occasionally, Like most things atm :P lol
Figured it out, if your pressure regulator stops working and you are stuck in the cargo hold and it depressurizes, then the panels works to change pressure in the lift room.
To add to that, if you are going to open cargo hold's doors, TURN OFF LIFE SUPPORT INSIDE the cargo hold, it is crucial!!! otherwise you will bleed TONS of oxygen and nitrogen due to life support pumping these gasses into the void.
Rockwood Gaming I haven't tried so far I don't think it's worth opening the cargo bay cause of the resources lost. But it's a similar configuration as all air locks. There is always a panel at both sides of the airlock

Prolly a dumb question but how do you park your ship?? i cant keep it from floating away when i try to mine an asteroid :(
Eventually you can do match velocity, but it's current broken from what I read. your best bet is to get close, make sure your m/s is 0. and mine quick and return

yeah match velocity needs to be fixed
The Dev's said it's not so much broken as it's just currently disabled in it's current form
it's fixed now , with double shift when velocity match ( 2m/s)
Bet you get white finger syndrome from using those drills. I'd sue the corp if you can

It's better to turn off life support for that room (by going to the life support panel, opening rooms, then turning off "cargo bay/room"), that way you won't lose air every time you open the hatch.
