Yom Hashoah Commemoration 2022

Yom Hashoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day is a day dedicated to remembering the victims of the Holocaust. In the lead-up to Yom HaShoah, the Melbourne Holocaust Museum and Maccabi Australia invite you to participate in an act of remembrance.
Just like you, Jews before the Holocaust play sport and compete with their teammates.
Just like you, sport was a cherished part of childhood, a fun activity that many lost during the Holocaust.
To commemorate those who were murdered and those who survived, share a photo of you with your team-mates, friends or family playing the sport you love with the hashtag #justlikeyou.
Remembering the Holocaust reminds us to treat each other fairly regardless of our differences, and the dangers of racism and prejudice. Please share this video and post your own #justlikeyou photos.
