You gotta be willing to risk the embarrassment. Think of it this way, you can only embarrass yourself once, after that you become a pro and you can now take it every time
@@shannonlacey2660 I was so confused cuz I never done this either and watched a few vids they all said the neutral thing but none mentioned turn off the engine ...so glad I found this one. Here I am feeling so incredibly dumb 🥴 Nowwww, on to finding out how to turn off the auto wipers on a 2011 lexus RX 350 😬😅🙈😫
Thank you for making this video I’ve never been through the car wash by myself and I’m pretty nervous but this video has helped ease my nerves a bit, thank you Travis!
Thanks a lot. I have used one before but i still get anxious and it helps to be able to watch someone do it before I go. I stalled the first time i tried to get onto it but they just laughed about it 😂
Hi, I have a 2019 auto car, with the button to start the engine how would I operate this for the car wash I'm nervous to get it washed but I do want to go soon and try it (I've done it before in an old manual car but this is a big change for me) thank you 😊
My automatic won't go into neutral unless the engine is on. As soon as I turn it off or just leave the battery on it goes into park mode locking the front wheels. 😢
if you have a newer vehicle, you probably have autohold. there should be a button by your clutch or an option in the menu of your car’s touchscreen thingy to turn it off :)
Hi there and Happy New Year, I'm trying to take mine in for a first time wash, possibly tomorrow or next week. I've got an aerial on top of the roof which I haven't worked out how to handle yet. Other than that I'm good I believe. I stopped by only to read the intructions today.
Thanks Travis! My car doesn't have fold-able side mirrors so it freaked me out the first time I took it for a wash and the mirrors slid all the way to end on their rail. I could of course slip it back in place but this has me hesitant in going back for another automatic wash. Could you perhaps do a video on self-wash boxes at these places so one knows how not to damage it :) Also, do you have to turn off the engine? The car in front of you seemed to have it on. Cheers.
Never used one of these before & thinking of taking my works truck through, it’s a Nissan navara which is slightly bigger than an average car so don’t know if it would fit through. Question is, do these types of washes have sensors on them that read the size & profile of each vehicle so as not to damage them ?
as someone who works at a car wash, people skip over the first rollers all the time. especially if it is your first time. it is not a big deal at all and there’s no reason to be anxious about it!!! i think it’s funny bc it makes your car jiggle lmao also 3 additional things you should be aware of not in the video: put your foot off the break, wipers off, and if you have a newer car that has autohold figure out how to turn it off for your car before you enter the wash :)
Hi Amy, here are a few videos on signalling and driving such as turning right ua-cam.com/video/h_cXgUEJrto/v-deo.html Roundabouts for beginners ua-cam.com/video/2TL2J_54qDE/v-deo.html Just check out the playlist on learning to drive, I am sure there are a few videos that will help you ua-cam.com/play/PLhk312x91yijeRZ0d-ijwMg_PAKpvo726.html
I've tried it a few times, sometimes without any issues. The last time, I did not stop the car in the right spot for the wash to start, and when it didn't I reversed a bit more than they would allow and the car wash robotics took it as an exit. Then I moved forward again believing that the wash would begin, it used the wash code of the next person in line. We settled with cash. I will watch this video and learn from you. Thank you for posting.
I'm so grateful for this! I'm a single mum and I've never dared to try it before, didn't want to embarrass myself. 😅
Thank you for watching. Safe driving

I just watched this and drove straight to the car wash. It was a success 😊 thank you for showing me what to do!
Never been through one before, thanks for the advice. You don't put on the brake at any point, do you?

Safe driving and thank you for watching
This video is helpful, I’ve never been taught how to use one of these and was a little nervous. Helps to know what to expect!
Thank you for watching and enjoy the experience

Thank you for watching and I am happy that it helped.
I use this car wash in Kingston Regularly. Great clean inside and out. This video is great for newly past drivers looking to keep their motor Fresh.
That was my idea behind the video. It is a great car wash.
The video we all needed
Thank you for watching and your kind comment. Safe driving
Thanks for the video really helpful, never been in one of these before.
Glad I could help!
Thanks for this video. I've been driving for ten years and I'm scared of these!
Thank you for watching
@@mzy9173 😂
I have had a hand wash as they generally tell you what to do thanks Travis

You would need to place the gear selector onto neutral
thank you for making this video Sir, it helps a lot
Happy to help.
Great stuff, never used one either 👍
They are handy. Thank you for watching
May I ask if the front wheel brake dust was cleaned? It wasn’t specifically shown at the end.
Yes it was. They done a good job

Oh, that sounds unusual

Remember to test your brakes at low speed, after exiting the car wash or jet wash facility.
Yes a good tip.

Most aerials will screw off with anti clockwise turning. Some you can leave on.

Yes you are supposed to turn engine off. The car in front was electric car.
Thanks for the explanation! What should I do if I want to clean the insides of my car though?
There are hoovers usually at the sides of these places

They have a size guide before you enter.
Omg just what I need. I should have washed it myself.
Everytime I Google a driving question Travis has a video.
I love that.
If I don’t have the video, let me know😂
What if you can't put the side mirrors in automatically
I used to wind my windows down and pull in the mirror’s before I go in.

You have a very nice looking car, my areal does not want to come off so i can only do the hand wash one.
Thank you for watching and your kind comment
Useful video, interesting 👍
Thank you
So you remain in neutral the whole time?
Yes
Handbrake on or off?
Love these videos thank you :)
You are so welcome!

Really helpful!! Thanks! x
Happy to help
Mr Travis, do you recommend cleaning the components in the bonnet I.e. engine etc?
No with a jet wash.
If you can see a leak or something is dirty, then maybe when car engine is cold and turned off.
Thank you!
Safe travels
Thanks, helpful video
Thank you for watching
I've taken my father's car through the carwash many times, but watching it just now through the camera lens was really weird!
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
🔥 🔥
Thanks
Thanks bro
Safe driving
How & when did you pay for it?
You can pay via an app or in person with cash or card. Very easy
It's my first time use automatic car wash and never ever go back again. I feel like screw up
It takes practice
Hand-wash the best lol
If you have time, if not then car wash
Holy fk that was scary
Make sure your windows are up
Scary 😦
Looks scary but it’s not.
