@gshowguy: I think he would've gotten the job had the show been based in L.A. But, since the show's based in Atlantic City (probably because it was cheaper to produce it there), they had to get an East Coast announcer.
Something about One Loss and that first game went so fast. I guess it was because the fishermen didn't get a chance to roll the dice, or because it ended in one roll.
Not-so-bad format, awful presentation. Peter Marshall was so great on Hollywood Squares, was he drunk on this? His hosting was just... too much! Though, I do like the game. It could've been so much more exciting had they gotten the right host. Gene Rayburn, perhaps? This is reminiscent enough of Match Game for him to have done a bang-up job.
There is too much going on in the show, coupled with JoAnne Worley who is so obnoxious. Peter Marshall was just trying to get through the first show I think as he goes on and the format gets simplified then he'd be more at ease.
The idea of a Yahtzee based game show is cool, but this format sucks. There's got to be a better way of incorporating Yahtzee into a game show then this trainwreck.
In memory of Game Show Host of the original 1966-1981 Hollywood Squares and Host of Yahtzee, Peter Marshall. 1926-2024.
Peter Marshall was the perfect host for the NBC daytime game show "Hollywood Squares."
As well as the Great Getaway Game on the Travel Channel and the locally-produced Oregon game On the Spot...

Starting at 0:53 that sound effect is the same as the 3-second think music for the High-Five Challenge.

@gamshwfan he was going to host 3rd Degree but he got screwed out of the job
See above.
