    I'm a white 58 year old American and I think this is just so so heartwarming. Just incredible that these kids are showing each other their lives and going back and forth in how both sides live. Incredibly awesome. I would love it if China and the US become friendly. I have dabbled into mandarin. Very interesting how the spoken language and written characters are structured. I know French and Spanish pretty well but a third second language is just so daunting to me (it zapps so much of your time), but if China becomes more open to us I would love to pick it up. But man, that writing system is a beast to learn.

      China is always open. There are tons of foreigners, including Americans living in China. It’s the Zionistt deep state and its puppet American government that are trying to keep you away from China by demonizing and slandering China to hate and fear monger to you to prevent you from seeing the real China. I always urged Americans to get out of their country more and see the world. Russia, China and Muslim countries don’t want to invade USA or threaten USA. It’s the American propaganda that try to mind control Americans to legitimize invasions. It’s exact Nazi type propaganda slandering Jews as “evil and threat” to turn Germans into Nazis before the Holocaust. So it’s good many Americans are turning off their government’s fake news and slanderous propaganda and truly coming out of their misinformation bubble. As a Chinese American, I don’t want to see my birth country slandered and I don’t want to experience racism and hate crimes in USA against the Chinese. I hope at least ordinary citizens can connect and break away from the Military Industry Complex war and hate and fear mongering media. Good to see Americans and Chinese connect and see the reality, not the lies in US media…..May we live in peace and love, not hate and wars as US media and politicians try to get us into.

    • @edwarddu6919
      @edwarddu6919 9 днів тому

      That's... not how any of that shit works. Chinese guy here, national estimates are around 6% which is... the same as Canada. It's literally just a US problem. It's not the keeping kids busy that's the problem, it's having parents that actually parent. Something about the American mindset on how you raise children causes mental issues and guess what's usually the cause? Trauma. That's right, American parents literally leave their kids with mental scars. Don't trash talk medication, it's very important for people with ADHD. Rates of prescription are on the rise too. Thinking that "keeping kids busy" will do the trick is exactly why the US has so many kids with ADHD. The more you try to "just keep them busy" instead of teaching them motor skills and time management strategies, the more cases you have where you have to medicate before it becomes unmanageable

    Every year in China, 10 million college students graduate. Among them, 7.5 million are graduates majoring in science and engineering. This is also an advantage for China in catching up with the advanced technologies. There is a common saying in China: "Mastering mathematics, physics and chemistry will make you fearless in traveling anywhere in the world." This reflects the educational philosophy.中国每年有1000万大学生毕业,这里面有750万理工科专业的毕业生,这也是中国在科技追赶上的优势,中国有句俗话:“学会数理化,走遍天下都不怕”的教育理念。

    What the children do there is something similar to what I had at school, from the first to the fourth grade, it was called "craft lessons". There we were taught manual skills. We learned the basics of wood and metal working there. We learned, among other things We were also taught how to use needles and thread, knitting and crocheting, and braiding. In the second grade, we were also taught swimming lessons for a year. In the ninth grade, we were taught swimming again for a year . Eighth, ninth and tenth grades, there were three special subjects: PA = practical work in production. The companies also had their own classrooms, where lessons for technical drawing and introduction to production took place (today it is called business administration and is a subject at the university). My time at school: 1973 to 1983. From 1983 to 1985 vocational training as a skilled worker Plant technology, including the skilled worker certificate. Now you know why the USA has never been a leader in education. The education system in the USA is not even mediocre, it is below average to poor. Even your elite students from Harvard and Yale are idiots in tailored suits! They never learned how to work and how a business works.

    As an Asian, I'm always perplexed at this unspoken "world order" - We are "expected/presumed" to be able to converse (or at least respond with however broken command of English) with people from the West in English even when in our own countries where English is not the first language (or in this instance, where Xiao Hongshu is predominantly catered to the Mandarin speaking world). I've always said that if the roles are reversed, you will never chance upon an Asian/Chinese speaking in Mandarin in a Western country and be expected to get any respond. And mind you, the Global South is approx 75% of the world's population. Oh well, whatever it takes to finally let people from the West see for themselves that China is not the evil monster that their government & media have falsely portrayed them to be.

      And the Americans discovering that they've been lied to still haven't realize how much American propaganda has infected not just themselves but the whole world.
