- Oklahoma Softball and Texas Softball faced one another for the final time in a Big 12 Championship Game. After the 2024 College Softball Season concludes, they will switch to the SEC.

The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Remember when OSU and Texas beat Sooners couple weeks ago,,everybody saying Sooners had finally " lost it"! Pokes win bedlam series for first time in 27 yrs!!!! Horns win series for first time since,,,,,odds were against Sooners winning B12,,,,,wellllllll,,Ladies and gentlemen, for the 9th time,,,and STILL,,reigning, defending champions!!!!! BOOOOOMERRRR

It’s because these people bet with their heart and big mouth instead of brains. Just look at Oklahomas roster and record for crying out loud.
Texas like A&M and other schools will lie to recruits and players plus negative recruit Oklahoma and offer big bags of money or offer church jobs to get a players to get kids to sign with them. Kids need to learn to do their research Even in football and now softball Since 1996 records in football. goes as follows as we join SEC

Missouri 0-2 in Big XII titles 0-2 in SEC titles 0 National titles 0 playoff appearances
I can go on kids do us a favor research your schools more don't listen to negative recruiting peace.
Longhorn fan here congrats Sooners and Sooners fans on the win, y'all came out hungry from the jump and I personally feel like that first error by Katie Stewart of the Longhorns at first base set the tone, y'all had us off balance all game. And we made way too many costly errors and mistakes to give ourselves a chance in this one. Let's meet again in the Championship series. 👏👏

I think the “Selection Committee” did these girls a favor! Did you all notice the disappointed clapping when they were seeded #2. They are 3 times defending Champions & just rocked the horns in the Big XII Tournament.
I think these ladies feel slighted and are going into the WCWS angry!!! I feel for their opponents!!! Stay focused, bring it home! Boomer!!!

they could’ve easily, EASILY get a playoff bid every year while in the Big-12 with the EXPANDED playoffs, not 4 of the best teams in the country, now 11 best and good teams with a G5 school getting door slammed every year.
instead, they wanted to take more money and revenue in the SEC along with more TV exposure.
with no restrictions in terms of NIL, Texas can just buy players out from anywhere. only competition they have is Ohio State, Miami and USC. they can match their funds. so I think they SHOULD be fine, given they have a lesser schedule than Oklahoma, but it’s an SEC 8 game schedule.

@@GoatedAtNFS what’s the point of getting to the playoffs every year if you’re not ready to face the teams you need to beat when you get there. Also Oklahoma will be fine in the SEC, they probably will have a couple down years for now but they’ve been building an insane defensive roster that will compete in the SEC. If we had this defense when Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, or Justin Hurts were at the helm there would be no stopping us.

I would say they went 6-6 not long ago but Lincoln Riley said F your program, i’ll take my players, have a nice day. you went to the playoffs multiple times I believe and went out the first round, 3 out of the 4 was to an SEC team all different, you have 2 of them on your schedule one on the road one at home. you face the same teams the next year because Greg Spanky is lazy so Texas gets 2 bye passes while you’re stuck with LSU Alabama Ole Miss Missouri & Tennessee. yeah good luck with that and hope you retain your players
its hilarious how all the softball podcasters still have texas staying at # 1 after this beatdown by ou yesterday.....they all say based on texas season body of work....so lets look at the 4 h2h matchups with ou in this body of work......texas beat ou twice 2-1 over a month ago after losing the first game 5-2 when ou was clearly a shell of itself now.....and still could only squeek out 2-1 wins lol......than after that texas runs off an 18 game winning streak and scoring runs at will in those games....in fact they put up 50 runs last week in a 3 game sweep of tex tech last week...than another 13 on tt on friday......impressive right?......they come into yesterdays big 12 championship as the countries clear #1 team right?..... and now all i hear is these same softball podcasters crying its cause texas made errors that hurt them yesterday.....no texas got completely shut down by ou with 2 seeing eye hits getting one lucky run.....#1 texas got 2 hit.....one more time this team that put up 63 runs in a week on t-tech got 2 hit vs an ou team now clicking......and ou dont deserve that #1 spot?.....u all just haterz.....its not like ou got lucky and squeeked out a 2-1 win on an error they dominated the texas bats!!....and texas best hitter atwood was 0-3....in fact their 1st 6 hitters were a combined 0-15....that potent horns lineup smacked down to 0-15 bahahahahahahaha.......just shows beating up on cup cakes dont matter when you play other good teams!!......lets see if the committee screws this up and keeps texas #1 or does right thing and gives deserving ou the top #1 overall......honestly in the long run it wont matter cause ou is rolling again and will defend the throne for a 4-peat!!

I hate to use these words but Texas is silly and they have a very good team, Oklahoma is just great. In fact the greatest football coach Texas ever had was an Oklahoma quarterback named Darrel Royal they named the stadium after him.

Despite losing to the Oklahoma Sooners my Texas Longhorns are still the best team in the Big Twelve.
But wouldnt that mean they should of won the big 12 championship? Texas is a great softball program but when the other program is team that won 6 national title since 2010. Its safe to say who really is the best team. you dont get that high caliber recruiting without a great program and Oklahoma is just that program that always finds a way to be better. its going to be fun watching these two teams in the sec next year.
