The issue is not that Matt Riddle has what it takes to be a great wrestler.
The issue here is that he's saddled with a bad gimmick which is a mockery of his gimmick when he was in the indies.
He could be better if allowed.

If they keep this guy around, they should take advantage of people not liking him and turn him into a cocky heel. Change his character completely. If they bring back Randy Orton, that would be a good opportunity to turn Riddle heel. IMO

When he was on the Indies and even NXT, he had a really cool hybrid of using his MMA background to accentuate his wrestling ability that worked well for this modern “high workrate” style of wrestling. And his comedy was kept on a leash. But once he got to the main roster they overplayed his comedy shtick, and seeing him in any capacity other than in a wrestling match became cringe. These issues outside of the ring certainly does not help. It’s 2023, and WWE has no shortage of guys with good workrate, he’s completely expendable.
I'm thinking the same thing especially since Randy Orton is injured still this Matt Riddle situation is fucking stupid just get rid of him at this point.
Outside of his partnership with Orton (which he tripped ass backwards into), Riddle hasn't did really anything to warrant his spot on the roster.
#2 Drew returned to be on the #2 show and went after the midcard title. After failing to get that, he’s saddled with Riddle as the understudy for Orton. Saying #2 is too generous, and only serves the purpose of rhyming.

I agree. I never understood he is over? from when he called out Goldberg for being Goldberg, his boring name, bare feet, and annoying character.
I like Riddle alot better than most of what they got going on. You don't have to like his character but at least he has one and people actually cheer for his, that's already better than like 90% of the roster. Also, when he gets pushed his merch moves. The fact is I see no scenario where this guy is getting fired anytime soon. Riddle has been in punishment mode since he got back, it's been obvious and after Drew is done squashing him (which is going to happen soon) he's getting another chance and he deserves it. Why? Because when he got pushed berfore fans actually bought into it. Guys like that are worth keeping around, not every wrestler can get the fans into their schtick but Riddle can.

I've never seen the appeal in Matt Riddle either. Why would I want to watch a guy run around almost completely nude at this point? He's one slip-up away from risking WWE getting into trouble with the FCC. He never wears actual shoes (I didn't even understand why he wore flip flops with his tux/suit at the Hall of Fame ceremony for Undertaker's induction), he rarely has any entertaining segments, and he's also a disrespectful person. Look at what happened with Goldberg.
I'm not saying Goldberg is the best wrestler in the world (far from it), but he never needed to be in order to get over in WCW and he's still a far bigger star than Matt Riddle could ever dream to be. Riddle talked crap about Goldberg and then pretty much backed down from him when they came face-to-face backstage at SummerSlam in 2019.

The only time I cared about Matt Riddle was his feud with Rollins’s. that was some what entertaining
I think the Matt Riddle character gotten complacent once Matt got into the main roster of WWE, and the same old thing he does has gotten old. He also gotten too cheesy with his painted toenails and painted fingernails, how can a man paint his fingernails and toenails, seeing that sort of thing makes me want to puke. And his entrance has become so corny like a wrestling cartoonish era when he kicks his sandals off and an animation of any kind of animal groups come popping out of his ass and crotch such as grasshoppers, Rhinos, Birds, etc. right on the screen, and each time I bury my head in my hand and shake no.
Riddle is cringe AF I still remember when Jericho did that impression of him years ago it was hilarious.

Riddle is cool been a fan for awhile he is the ultimate underdog like XPac. He is in a weird Cena like place no matter what he has fans. Charlotte is best we will just have to disagree on that. As far as Riddle being let go his contract is almost up they just won't resign him

In general, I’m not a huge fan of Riddle. Sometimes makes me laugh, but in general not always my cup of tea.

1.The officer sees the drunk idiot and then decides to frisk search him.
2. Riddle being the dunderhead that he is drunkily accuses the innocent cop and almost RUINED an innocent man's life by posting the poor guys picture on social media.
3. After Riddle sobers up and realized what he did, he then deleted the tweet WITHOUT even apologizing to the man who he had harassed and FALSELY accused.
4. He then goes to wwe. And instead of coming clean and admitting his mistakes, he doubles down. 😂
5. All the evidence comes out proving that Riddle is a jackass so wwe fired him. Because the police man could have easily SUED wwe for one of their employees almost ruining his life.

Honestly, I don't like him. He's just ok. His promos are annoying. This is another wrestler that doesn't need to cut promos ever. If he just talked in his normal voice & just wrestled, he's be a guy I would like. Since he doesn't do that, I don't watch him.
