@jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 that's great. It's 20° at my place right now. Waiting for the snow tomorrow. Thought about heading over the pass to pville, but screw that!
Good to see an upload on your channel. Been waiting to see how it’s been going g uour way!! Already a good start my friend!! Be looking forward to the next upload!! Thanks for sharing.
Another great video. I stole your idea for the snares last season and boy are they great. Really hammered them this season in the Sandhills of Nebraska on the cattle trails. Thank you.
Awesome stuff Jeromy, good to see you back after those song dogs, I got a later start chasing them around this year myself, not sure I’ll get to triple digits but we’ll see how long I chase them this winter 👍👍
Man you got a lot of coyote and awesome snaring habitat. My season was the opposite. It was dry and warm and I hammered pretty good with the legholds. Really enjoy your videos, thanks for taking the time and trouble.
Hey Jimmy! Glad you’ve got some good weather for legholds. The weather changes so quick throughout the day here that it keeps it interesting hahahahahh
Good to see ya wacking them coyotes. I might have to buy a couple put up coyotes from ya if you're interested? Thanks for taking us along, always enjoy your videos.
Thanks for the video! Still hope you can get one of the guys that put up the really nice bobcats that you mentioned from the fur sale. Would be interesting to see just how they get their cats so nice!
You sure make this look easy. we didn’t do too bad back in the mid 80s for coyote and Fox and quite a few Marten. However, I was the sidekick not the main trapper. Sure wish I had a paid closer attention. Old Bill A., my partner has passed and Im closing in on 70. But I’m back out there this year on my own. Would you say you would do things the same as you do for fox as you do for coyote? I got cameras on a couple dirt hole sets and be doggone if I get them standing over the set or just walking right by it. I got lure and I got bait, I just don’t have talent lol anyhow that’s my question. Great video and great camera technique I like it. 👍👍
Thanks Jack! I don’t trap a lot of fox. They are new to my area. I definitely have caught some, but I try to steer clear of them until the population here grows a little more. One thing I will say though is I use to have the worst time with tracks at my dirt hole set, but no coyote in my set. I basically re-invented my set that worked in my mind. It has to do with the exact set, and the location of the set in let’s say about a 10’ area. I do have a video on that where I go into detail. I’m also making another video that goes over the exact same thing. I’m surprised how many trappers have this same problem, I definitely used to. Out of all the coyote and bobcat sets I had this season I had less than 10 sets that had tracks with no catch. All of those were coyote, fox and mountain lion. This concept I’m trying to explain is the best thing I’ve found for consistently making a catch. Most trappers get the animals near their set, but struggle with making the catch. Stay tuned to the channel, and I’ll have the updated video uploaded soon. I wish you the best of luck out there. Here is the video from last year that touches on the “perfect coyote set” if you haven’t seen it yet ua-cam.com/video/pM_2pNB-Ljg/v-deo.htmlsi=Luguwl1U0-76E-eO
Catching up the doggies I remember when I was a kid a few years back we could get up to 300 for a coyote pelt that was the good old days when money was worth something too😊
@@jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 I don't blame you red fox we're about the same price too up to $40 for a mink and muskrats for 5 to 6 that was in the seventies
This year I have less than a dozen coyote traps so far, but probably around 100 snares or so. I haven’t counted them. I usually have closer to 100 trap sets, but this season has been tough to get the time to get out.
@@dakotamcmillin9703 I love the vest, but it’s not beaver. My wife bought it for me a the used clothing store, so I’m not real sure what it is. It is warm though
Hahhahaha… that’s great! It usually take a few days to get the videos uploaded… kind of a pain, but I do enjoy it once they’re done. I should have a video every week now for awhile. Thanks for the patience
Good to see you out this year. Boy the kids are sure growing. Hope your success continues !!

I am glad you are out there trapping, have you seen any wolf sign ?😊
Not yet Steve, a few mt. Lion tracks but not wolves yet.

Hi Jeromy, how much of your snare do you load for a 10 or 12 inch loop?
Good question. I make my loop about 9”-10”, and load not quite the first half of the loop from the lock side of the snare. I hope this helps.
Thanks you're loops are always perfect. Great Videos
Thank you Terry. I hand craft each one lol
Great video!
Thanks for checking it out
6 is a great day. Good luck
I’ll take six any day lol… until I get to the fur shed, then my mind slightly changes. Thanks for the support Cofield!
I seen your older video of how to dispatch coyotes would that work on foxes too
Definitely. It would be way easier too

Do you make or purchase your snares?
I make my own. I’ve got a video on how I do it if you’d like to check it out.

Thank you for sharing. Very interesting how you’re able to set those snares! Basically money sets every time. Very cool
Heck yeah they work good!
😂 I just put a post on last years video, asking when your dropping this years trapping videos. A couple hours later you drop a new one.
