This dream smp animatic took around 2 days, and honestly it was tons of fun! You'd expect Technoblade to be the one hard to draw but he was suprisingly easy! Tommy is much harder to draw even though his character design is much more basic. When I first say this scene I screamed and proceeded to cry lolol. Good thing techno and sapnap carried it with jokes ;D

some people are mentioning someone elses animatic that is apparently similar to mine, i have no clue what this other video is but please refrain from commenting that on mine or this other persons video as its quite annoying to see. i got this idea after hearing the audio on tiktok and the video with the audio has a lot of views so we could've just gotten the same idea (which i dont blame them the audio is very beautiful hehe). as they say, great artists cry for block men and have the urge to draw.

Its been well over a year and a half since I've made this video as of July 1st, 2022. Technoblade gave me so many fun memories of me just fangirling and being so excited for whenever he posted more content or even showed up on someone elses stream. During making this I was going through a difficult time, and this help me go through it with an open mind. It was so fun watching him live, crazy to think I'll never experience that ever again. Rewatching this video after he has passed, it's hard to believe that he really is gone. I have more to say that I will just write in the pinned comment of this video, but god, even as a fan I'm heartbroken at this loss. Techno was one of the youtubers that got me into the second gen wave of Minecraft in the first place, and it has changed my life. He has introduced me to so many other lovely content creators, and I remember watching his live streams and screaming from pure excitement and laughter. I remember watching one of his UA-cam live streams having over 1,000,000 live viewers and thinking "woah, this man is amazing." He has changed so many peoples lives and is one of my greatest inspirations. I remember me and my friends just quoting him all class hahah. I remember finding out me and him shared a birthday, and being extremely happy that I got to celebrate the same day as him. He and his friends were one of my main sorts of happiness during the years in quarantine, he gave me something to look forward too during dreary days and nights and I could never appreciate him enough as a fan for that. He may be gone from this world, but Technoblade will never die, as he has left a piece of him in every viewer and friend who was lucky enough to find him. I'm sure many other fans share the same sentiment. Rest in piece, the world will never be the same without you.

People wonder why Philza sides with Techno no matter what happens to Tommy, and the truth is that, when stuff happens to Tommy, he's always got other people and friends he can go back to. He'll be fine without Phil. But Techno? Without Philza......He'd be completely and utterly alone. The only person who hasn't used him, abandoned him, betrayed him, and shunned him.
or maybe because Phil is the Angel of Death, and Techno is the blood god, so they kinda works together by nature :P

When my DSMP character, whether Techno's daughter or Techno and Wilbur's lost older sister, finds out what Tommy did, she is running over to him, knock him into the ground, and beat him until he's at *half a heart*

Which is funny, because trusting someone who betrayed him "like twelve times" is exactly what he derided Tommy for the prior day, to Ph1lza. It's as if he's as mad at himself as he is at Tommy, for thinking, for a moment, that Tommy was his friend.

People joke that Technos voice acting is mediocre but when a scene calls for emotion he really can deliver, imo. The good thing about sounding monotone all the time is that when you do add even just a little bit of emotion is is much more emphasized and powerful

Techno as a person doesn't seem to be super into the roleplay itself, but he is super into the writing and plot. So when he has time to set something up, to write a speech, that is where he excels.

Philza literally explained his character as "Techno's only true friend." A.K.A. The only one who has never betrayed him no matter what. It's sad to think about, honestly. Techno is seen as a killing machine by most of the server and Phil is one of the only people who took time to find out what he really is.

Techno ranboo and dream are my favourite characters I guess I always prefer the villains (not ranboo) they always have such an interesting backstory and it’s way more fun to root for the villain then the hero and ranboo is just really good at roleplay and he really brings his character to life

And what hurts us even more is that he was spitting facts. He did went against all of them, including Dream, he didn't just say it for the dramatic effect, he would definitely be there for Tommy

Techno saved him from Dream and tried his hardest to teach him about people and even gave him Christmas presents and that was the thanks he got, a backstab. I understood why Tommy and Tubbo made him the enemy and betrayed him the first time but really Tommy? You’re going to bite the hand that literally gotten you where you were today. Techno could’ve just handed you over to Dream but no, and I bet you Techno regrets not doing that now. (Techno considered him a friend even though he didn’t say it because he was betrayed just like Techno was in the war with Jshlatt)

This is one of the first times I saw Technoblade portrayed as a person, with emotions and all, in an animatic. Most animatics highlight how powerful he is. How he’s able to pull off a 1v30, or how he can leave a crater where a city once was.
He’s usually portrayed as an all powerful entity. And this animatic really humanizes him.
It’s also really pretty.
Even despite animatics not showing him as "human." I feel from watching his POV, the small things he does makes it evident. For example, protecting Will and blindly fighting for Tommy. It is finally good to have animatics show him this way. ^^

God I loved this scene. As much as people want to demonize techno for being an anarchist he was fucking right. Lmanburg had lost its way some time ago and was past the point of saving and needed to go. What once was a place for people to escape tyranny had its vice president exiled, hunted down a man who had sworn off violence, and locked up the man who literally everyone liked and put him under house arrest. Techno is a man who has been used for other people's gain since the moment he joined the server, never with any regard given to his goals or feelings on things, never a moment of peace, and when he finally has momentary peace he's dragged back in by the same people who used him before and is essentially executed. Everyone he's ever relied on has either turned their back on him, or died (Excluding philza). And then he finds a mentally and physically broken tommy and takes him under his wing and does everything he can to help him with his goals, willing to fight a literally army for something he has no stake in, solely for tommy, and as soon as tommy doesn't need him he throws him away and brands him a traitor, just like before. The man has been willing to take on armies for his allies and yet not one of them has ever been willing to do the same for him because to them, he's merely a tool, he's just *The Blade.*
why do i feel like quackity is more of a villan right now compared to Dream. He's been on every bad side of L'manberg. He's been with schlatt, he joined the revolution just to betray techno, he wants to resurrect schlatt, he been manipulating tubbo, and he's the sole reason the butcher army wanted to kill techno for a fabricated reason. Dream at least had a reason to want a manipulate Tommy. Tommy is and always has been the troublemaker. Thinking back to the exile, Dream actually compromised to a 6 week probation rather than exile and Tommy himself ruined it, as for Quackity he went along with Tommy's plan only for it to go downhill

I wanna bring up the point that quackity (SMP) contradicts himself when he started talking to techno about how he should have taken his punishment. If you saw the stream where quackity and techno did the 1v1, we saw that quackity didn't care for him spawning the withers; but all of a sudden it does matter as it makes him look better. He only cared that he was on the list adn needed to kill him to build up his country which had nothing to do with Technoblade

I feel like Tommy's betrayal actually hurt techno this time. Technoblade almost never screams unless he gets excited or is making a point and he gets really loud when bringing up he is a person and that the disks aren't people. It felt as if this betrayal hit harder then the other cause he was actually starting to become friends with Tommy AND EVEN gave him the axe of peace. Even if he doesn't show it, it probably affected his trust (definitely expecting that he didn't want Ranboo to live in the house cause trust n stuff, even though techno doesn't have anything against Ranboo)
Some Crazy Loser the reason techno doesn't want Ranboo in his house is because he Arleen has a ender an as a room mate I think phill said this in one of the vods
Mini universe Technoblade said in his stream (I believe) that he doesn't want Ranboo in his home because of Tommy (or he doesn't want to feel the hurt of another betrayal.) Phil said that to make sure he didn't hurt Ranboo's feelings. It is especially evident after today's stream that Techno cared/ cares about Ranboo. He always tries to play it off ,but he trusts others easily even after being betrayed multiple times. (Correct me if I am wrong. ^^)

Techno was actually willing to give tommy to dream if dream told him to do it. Techno even told tommy the day before the whole "betrayed" thing happened that he never really respected tommy he only saw him as a annoying child. In the other hand to thought of techno as a friend from the start. When techno first found Tommy, tommy was in pretty bad shape,do you all really thing he would be able to do such thing.

@@alisonplays7751 At the beginning, Tommy was just a liability to Techno. As with any relationship, when you first start do you know how its going to go? Especially someone who was burned like Techno, he viewed Tommy as a wanton ball that may just cause him more trouble. But overtime, Techno valued his friendship with Tommy, believing that they had goals that aligned well enough and that he wasn't too bad of a person. Tommy at one point acknowledged the same about Techno. Techno thought tommy was worthy and gifted the axe of peace and tommy's helmet, but do you know what tommy did? He betrayed that trust. Tommy is trash. Disloyal. He would rather side with those that exiled him and called him the reason for all their problems than be with someone who began to think of him as part of the solution. To me, that's unforgivable. I want tommy's character to die in the most pointless way ever. I want tommy to regret his choice more than anything else. I want him to beg for Technoblade's forgiveness at his last life, and want him to apologize for his transgressions.
Oh man, do I want that to happen. I want Tommy to suffer for what he did. L'manberg was not enough. It may be enough for Technoblade, because that was his goal. But as an audience member, I want Tommy to die in the most stupid way possible. What he did was so irredeemable.

Some people show their emotions through tones and others use speech, technoblade is an English major so it's easy to tell he's great at expressing himself yet keeping the monotone in his voice.
This is what I am such a fan of in movies, in series, in Minecraft servers, the ones who are sometimes portrayed as somewhat emotionless (I can't possibly find a word to describe it, and that fact gives this a whole other meaning) are always the people who are amazing at giving their emotions when the facade of their tone breaks.
Technoblade was giving Tommy his somewhat unconditional trust, a place to stay when everyone threw him out, he defended him when dream wanted to imprison Tommy, he was willing to 1v30 everyone in the server, he gave Tommy the axe of peace, he gave so much to Tommy, and then when Tommy ran back to the people who left him out in the cold, the people who chose a piece of land over him, the people who tried to execute techno,
He was heartbroken. He had put so much time into helping Tommy, running into enemy lines to protect him, so the result is this masterpiece.

Makes sense. People talk about him being the main character, but I'd argue it's either shared spotlight with Ranboo and Techno, or Ranboo alone. Tommy really seems to be an antagonist and has been since he joined.
@@Dsafenjoyer tommy is mainly considered the main character because he has been there for every major conflict on the server and goes through some character development. He is the protagonist because the story focuses on him mainly it doesn’t matter if he acts like a good guy or bad guy in that regard. If you look at the situation in this scenario him acting irrational makes sense when you realize techno told him he is planning to destroy his country days earlier and is planning to kill tubbo who even though has betrayed him it’s hard to just abandon someone he considers his best friend and tries to not lose him and tries to justify it in his mind but doesn’t have any good reasons to betray techno as it is mostly irrational.

Tommy literally told Tubbo his disc were more important that him and then turns around and betrays Techno. Goes straight back to the person that exiled him, never visited him and handed his disc over to dream in order to cut all ties completely.
exactly that why this hits hard because of the techno tommy dynamic really shines when techno protects tommy like he actually cares he put trust in him towards the end thats why he gave tommy the axe of peace he trusted him and tommy really is just a unsure character he felt bad while switching because of the amount of trust techno was putting in tommy but in the end tommy chose lmanburg over techno and techno chose a dead lmanburg over a dead tommy

Techno: accepted tommy as a friend after the exile. Gave him gear, potions, and even the Antarctic shield, axe of peace and a personal helmet. Who promised to help tommy get the discs back and end all the conflict
Tommy: *gets betrayed by tubbo and now dream has all the discs*
Techno: prepares to 2v30 everyone including dream with tommy
Tommy: *betrays techno, tells him head a dickhead steals his some of his most prized possessions and joins the guy who just made everyone’s lives so much harder*

God I’m hating tommies character more and more
I never really liked Tommy's character ,but after he joining Techno he was edging on redemption. He managed to throw that out of the window real quick. Tommy seems to always paint himself as the victim despite most of the time being in the wrong. I must say this once again, "All men do is betray Technoblade, eat hot chip and lie."
As an audience member, I will only be satisfied with Tommy's blood spilled in the most pointless way possible. I want him to regret everything. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.

Dude the part of this scene that sticks with me is the part where he talks about going to the festival and being peer pressured, and saying how he knew Tommy and Wilbur were watching, and that they didn’t help him. Didn’t come down and say it’s alright, we’ll do this together. Let him flounder and then got mad when he made the most understandable choice as one person against an entire nation
their is something i want to say about this moment, it is an excellent scene showing a more dramatic technoblade and how he feels which is great cause he is definably a more comedic character, but i kind of just want to talk about how this scene relates to the characterization of tommy (the character)
during all of this tommy is shouting his different feeling and emotions , he is just saying what ever he can to try and turn techno into the bad guy, he shouts many different things, even contradicting himself in his shouting's (tried to say techno was a government was probably the biggest grasp at straws), but everything tommy shouts and accuses techno give a good rebuttal, tommy very much views the world in a black and white manner, he views himself as an underdog that has to fight the power and win thru the power of friendship and team work, but here he is facing an unstoppable force he cannot fight his way thru, so he resorts to what he normally does, words and vilifying, but with how morally grey techno is, it doesn't work, he is shouting despratly trying to make sence of the situation in a way that would comfort him and make things better in the end, but he cannot
its tis moment were tommy is at his most vulnerable, its not when he is in exile tortured by dream, but when he is corned against something he has no way of stopping or taking control over. Tommys character is a child, they act in childish manner, and the character typically react to him like he is a child, and this is the moment the child realized they couldn't get their way and they had to deal with it
I feel so bad for techno. Tommy used and betrayed him multiple times, and techno has always tried to help tommy. He was willing to fight the whole server for him :,(
This made me change my opinion on Techno as a character completely holy damn, he really isn't just a weapon and the two people that haven't treated him as such is only Phil and Ranboo. This is amazing (ﾉ.ヮ.)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

And if you think about it in some way tommy is very strong by A stopping himself from becoming a villain and B being the very first person to say no to dream. And if you do look through technos POV it is like I said very different. Like yes he is right the execution was a fucked up thing and anger can lead anyone mad and I think they learned there lesson that revenge is not the way to go with something like that. Techno was peer pressured to doing something bad so that was not really his fault. So yeah views can really change the situation. When you think about this in a lore/ sleepy boy way, this is so sad that Tommy batrawed his own brother, and had to watch his other brother die right in front of him + his father not trusting him is pretty sad too

Damn that hit hard when watching them talk through the tnt rain. It felt so real and heart wrenching, knowing the stories of both people, especially the unique spot that technoblade is in and how they almost foil each other in a way, in character and in real life.
I believe this is the moment where Techno became the leader of the Syndicate. Losing someone he himself believed he is worthy of being his friend, but no. Tommy really hurt that God’s heart and…man the visual…hurts my heart. Good job there!
Literally these two are my favourite Dream SMP characters. Man this part was a downer but looking at it from both points, I can't hate either for their reactions.

All the lines he delivers are so good, but the way his voice slightly breaks in "you've betrayed me like twelve times" hurts so much and it literally made me cry in the moment
The only three people who haven't stabbed him in the back are his Father (Phil), Ranboo, and Dream (Though they work on benefits, not friendship). It's very sad and I love his and Phil's character.
Edit: Phil and Techno are just long friends, not related.
