lol right! In my opinion, l think bringing these seven together as a team is the real mastermind behind BTS success. If one member of BTS were to be missing, it wouldn't be BTS. Each member plays their own role, and the reason BTS has their unique and deeply influential music is thanks to the members who compose and write their songs, along with the members that brings those songs to life on stage. Not only do the seven of them harmonize so well together, but they also love and support each other like a family, overcoming all hardships and obstacles together. The reason they were able to keep moving forward at the moments they wanted to give up, was because they had each other, and had the fans who are sending love and support.
No, they are not masterminds at all. They are just lucky that they found joon and other members. And for some members, joon had to convince them to keep them in the team.
Second good thing they did was trusting joon and other members' decisions regarding the music they wanted to make.

Seriously, this content brightened my mood!
RM understood the power of social media which helped connect them with the fans directly instead of thru the company or professional engagements only.
They used Twitter in really smart ways and created Bangtan Bombs which showcased their bonds as members.
RM has said multiple times that without Jimin the group would have been a disaster. HE was the one that fought not only for JHOPE but also for Jimin, when BangPD admitted he didn't want Jimin in the group.
RM kept the group together all these years by leading them with wisdom and kindness.
Everyone are counted...but RM is the start of history

As already mentioned in the video, it was her opinion about the mastermind behind bts, people have different opinions, but I do agree with her, RM's role in the creation of BTS is the biggest, it was mainly his ideas which were accepted and followed. Whatever BTS is today is obviously because of all the 7 members. Their talent, hardwork and teamwork made them the biggest group and RM's thought process was the staring point of it all.

As a carat, i’ve been thinking this way, it’s great that many recognize svt, but the bulk buy of album is kinda,, suspicious. So...after seeing Bang Pd and others during Katseye documentary, I-land and so on...i concluded that without ARMY and BTS's hard work, love and support they wouldn't have achieved half of their accomplishments. There is just no way that with being the supposed masterminds of a successful group as BTS they lack so much judgement and intelligence in their actions! BTS 's success is the result of a perfect symbiosis between a fandom and the artists.

The video is spot-on. And yes, RM is one of the most crucial factor in the making of BTS. Another important factor is the members' resilience itself. It actually arrives from the hardships that they saw and wanting to give more. Because they themselves have said it several times, no one was properly trained in any k-pop major things. The vocal line never had sung songs, hobi developed his rap style, yoongi had more to know about dance and stuff. They were not perfect. They just worked hard to make it work.
It comes as a collective effort of all members with the idea of BTS that stemmed from the brains of RM.

And first time in the history of BIFF, all the seats were sold out!! I am so excited. It is coming out in cinemas in december. I cried reading the reviews given by armys since filming was not allowed.

At PTD Las Vegas day 3 and 4, the rap line received the loudest screams especially RM. I’m glad 2 years ago when RM did live I commented, you are the one I admire and respect the most. JK has been my bias ever since but I admire the rap line because they have written many of the BTS songs especially RM.
I don't trust Hybe much. They didn't promote BTS's solo projects enough. Except for JK none of the BTS members got international collaborations for their solo albums. JHope' collaboration song with J Cole wasn't part of his album. RM and Meghan song wasn't part of RPWP. The company is biased. RM stood behind Jimin when Bang Si Hyuk wanted to drop him. RM made BTS. He is a true leader. The boys fully supported RM and that's what made them a family and the biggest superstars on the planet today.
Thank you for this video as it was very illuminating - as to why BTS? .... many psychologists, musical professionals and corporate leaders have studied this phenomena that has not been encountered since the Beatles, and here are some of the general conclusions that this video, for the first time actually touches on:
1. BTS is not and never was a KPop group as nothing KPop standards have been applied to them until the creation of HYBE in 2020-2021 which also coincides with major conflicts between BTS members and the company. Will address this later
2. BTS was not manufactured in the typical 'assembly line' so characteristic to the KPop and SK culture where number #1 rule is obedience to follow rules - BTS has created itself organically because they were given the freedom to be and that is the biggest contribution of Bang PD, beside recognizing RM brilliance - creative freedom for the artists, trust in them and support - unfortunately, no other group before and after BTS was given this environment, so what came before and after have been the usual 'manufactured' groups.
3. 'Necessity is the mother of invention' - for Bang PD, and especially for the 7 members was about survival, not just as artists but actual survival .... having money for food and shelter - and here comes the biggest talent of RM: to inspire and motivate for all 7 to stay true to their vision, to not capitulate to what was acceptable in KPop at the time but to stay on their path - this inner conviction is so very rare but also found as a character trait in all the geniuses throughout history, regardless of topic.
4. Like Beatles, other groups came after them, better singers, better dancers, better composers but none were able to become the global socio and artistic transformational catalyst that Beatles was until BTS - and if you look in parallel between the two will be so easier to find out why: see #3 above + the courage to go against the tide of the day, for Beatles was the conformity of 'nice' of the 50's music where like in KPop almost all groups were based on the same format, in a way a trusted 'manufacturing assembly line'
5. Bang PD interview from early 2023 was extremely insightful - he is humbled enough to observe the reality and develop his strategy based on that - he had the audacity to say that is KPop does not transforms itself, will be a dying genre that at best, will remain a regional form of entertainment for shows. Unfortunately, since he is no longer involved in the daily operations after the creation of HYBE, HYBE and all its subsidiaries also became standard SK style management companies - control of both private and artistic life, bottom line revenue and profit - the culture of a company is determined by its leadership and its employees, and all HYBE's follow the standard SK KPop and cultural neo-Confucianism mentality - control and obey.
6. Future of BTS - BTS under the current HYBE management style will not survive - good indication for that hypothesis, in order to make Tae and JK sign the second contract extension, Bang PD had to convoke an emergency HYBE Board meeting as the usual 'slave contract' that the others already signed, was not an option - so yes, they did bring few improvements that the other 5 benefited, but this time the message was very clear, more so than it was in 2018 - personal and artistic freedom and fair compensation US style is the way. Everything at HYBE is against what BTS is and what made them who they are - solution: transplant and grow roots in the US and EU markets where individual creative freedom is valued and where an artist will have career longevity compared to the KPop short career that morphs into some KDrama actor. Bang PD definitely made it clear that this is his plan but he still not on sure footing and he got a lot of backlash from SK. But, like he did when BTS was created, he is firm in his strategy but for that, he needed few 'sure thing' artists for US and EU audience - these artists are totally different than the usual KPop because the audience in US and EU is totally different than the SK and Asian fandom - so far, the only 'sure thing' is JungKook - next, would be Taehyung, but for some reason Bang does not seem to be fully convinced, maybe because he is not into jazz. All the others will just be a short lived at best ...J Hope, Suga and Jimin don't seem to be that interested in transforming themselves from SK artists into global ones because it is not at in their core. RM is totally not interested and so is Jin, but hopefully Bang PD will have the vision to put RM in charge as creative director so new artist can be discovered and be given the full freedom of creation. Jin will become the usual SK shows MC and Suga a producer - Jimin and JHope will probably remain regional with the exception of periodic BTS reunions, like the Rolling Stones.
