What kind of charger do you use?
About 10 months ago I started putting a coolant bag on the phone while charging, to see what happens in the long run - not a single % of battery health dropped since then, 100% capacity daily use.
Try factory resetting your phone. Did that do mine and it fixed literally everything. I’m doing that every year now at least
For me heating while scrolling through reels is a major issue. Mind it, while playing genshin it doesn't even get warm.

I do have an iPhone 14 Pro. And yeah, my battery health took a dive down to 80% lately. It’s also heating up when charging via wireless charger, and my phone just has a bumper, not a whole case covering the back. I even get notifications saying charging will only resume when my phone cools down.
I have a FineWoven case. I am blind, so I don’t know what it looks like after the amount of times I’ve dropped it, but it at least feels like it has only a little bit of damage on it, a lot less than a silicon case would have. I also really like how it feels to the touch.

@@chumbleisverychill817 Thank you for asking. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and I can touch type, but in this case I used, and am using, my iPhones dictation feature. VoiceOver, the text to speech software on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, etc., reads everything to me that’s on the screen, and allows me to interact with it.

When i updated my iPhone 15 to ios 17.4, my battery health was freshly at 98% and since the second week of march till now, my health has deteriorated to 91% and i bought it on sept 23. Any suggestions to what should I do since I don't have applecare
I recently enabled optimised battery charging. My phone was learning my charging habits for a solid 7-8 days, plugging the phone in at 12 AM and taking it out at 8:30 AM. The featue finally activeted, however, it says the charging is scheduled to finish by 6:30 AM, 2 hours before I usually unplug it. Is there any way I can fix this issue?

Wireless charging is damaging on the long run (I'm sure you agree), but using device like ESR Cryoboost helps keeping the temperature controlled down to a safer level. My health is still 100% on my iPhone 15 Pro Max after 6 months
Got my 15 Pro Max a few days ago thanks to a one time exchange for my 14 PM from Apple, it just simply doesn't get hot. Other than some earpiece crackling at high volume, it's really good.
October bought iPhone 15PM, 178 cycles with no charging limit or optimization and pretty much exclusively wirelessly charged, still at 100%.
Im using 14 pro max and i never had an issue with battery and heat since ios 15 beta. It remained at 90% since last year. I always charge my phone to 100% too
Thanks for all the info. When a key highlight/rumor for the next iPad is a calculator, you know that we have just about maxed out the leaps & bounds tech upgrades of these devices.
Health 97%, 15 Plus, 200 cycles; Got it November, kept at 80%limit, have noticed it getting a little hotter lately.
If you always keep your phone on 80% there’s no point in worrying about your battery health. Because you’re sabotaging your total capacity everyday by loosing 20%. Just charge to 100% every time and enjoy 100%

@@UnsettlingDwarf Some of us don't need that extra 20% so we would much rather under charge and extend the battery life by 5-10x the charging cycles with 90% of the original capacity maintained because we use our phones a lot longer than the 2-3 year lifespan like most do. So what works for you doesn't work for others.

I've charged to 100% everyday on my 15 pro max with wireless/magsafe charging and I'm at 99% health with over 200+ cycles. I think the 80% battery recommendation on a phone at least is overkill for the ease of replacement if it ever does get that bad in the first place.

Dude have a look at the sports setting within the TV app. I have an issue where even after I unfollow a team every time they have a game it pops up in my Notification Centre and the Dynamic Island.

My iPhone 11 pro ios 17.4.1. This morning I took it from full charger, then I playing around it with for 10mins battery was showing 89%, I didn’t play with him for couples hours, so when I pickup my iPhone the battery was 100%!
When is to 30% battery is jumping fast to 20%! What I see it the battery does not discharge properly! Still not showing in appstore/profile/picture only on settings/icloud! Is getting my battery hot too & iphone 15 too problems with battery issues!

I have a fine woven case and it has not held up well. The back of the case is scuffed from putting it in a mag stand. It has also left a big blue stain on the mag stand I have next to my bed.
I just got a brand new 13 in November it just went down to 98%. I’m confused, I charge it once a day.

i had the same situation with the battery, dropping from 95% to 93% in a week and a half, I have an iPhone 13, idk the exact amount of life-cycles but I only have 11 months with the phone
Don’t know whether you mentioned it before but i have noticed something new on IOS 17.4.1. Whenever i download an App a timer pops up on the App Store when the app is going to finish installing which definitely wasn’t there on previous update or has it been there for a while and i just didn’t noticed

Using my 15 Pro Max since I got it end Sep 2023, since then my Cycle count is 183, with 100% Battery health still. I mostly charge it with MagSafe and sometimes with wired charging.
But I will say with the iOS 17.4.1 I’ve been getting overheating issues randomly and possibly the latest iOS betas are causing a strain on battery health for some people.
Battery health on my iPhone 15 Pro Max battery has dropped quite a bit an since iOS 17.4.1 update battery doesn’t last near as long as before I always had 25-30% battery at the end of the day now 4 hours before end of the work day I’m at15% so I have charge I have never had a change like this before

Yes my phone gets super hot and some apps the never drained my battery while they’re open ..specially the one I use to work out..Last time I used it ..was at 100 % battery..half way through my workout it was at 35 % ..And it was very hot !

I bought my iPhone 15 in September and it’s still at 100%. But I turned a lot off battery drain settings off in system settings under location services. Maybe that’s why. Cycle count 118
Running iOS 17.4 my battery does drain faster than it did on iOS 17.2 plus I experienced a keyboard glitch and there was a bug at the bottom of my screen and I had to do a reboot, been experiencing more bugs than usual
My 13 mini is at 88% 😢 I got it refurbished on Back Market around August. I’m pretty sure they replace the battery but I don’t remember what it was at when I got it
The batteries will loose health if the phone is not used for a longer period of time (worst case example here is the older Samsung S-Series phones with battery bloat after an extended period of not being charged and used)
Yes, it started dropping rapidly recently. It went down from 100 to 97%

How often do you guys keep your iPhones before you upgrade ?
I had generally got an upgraded two years but this year I decided to hold out longer since the iPhone 14 to 15 weren’t major upgrades. In my opinion I have a iPhone 13.
Health 100%, 15 Pro Max, 141 Cycles; I got mine at the very end of September, and haven't noticed any issues with the battery. I have a leather case, but occasionally use it without a case, and I only ever charge it at night with a wireless charger using optimized battery charging.
My fine woven case is completely fine.
I use Spigen cases and screen protectors exclusively.
Replaced my battery this January at Apple and already at 96% health on my regular iPhone 13

Yes, I really miss the leather one. The sides are peeled a bit and the edges on the back look faded, just horrible.

Just updated to 17.5 beta 3 and realized messages dont show names anymore and just say messages rather than before and yes I do have that setting turned off where it doesnt show name when locked. Also I just found out in settings if you open a section if you hold in the top left to go back, you can go back to the previous section or to where you started
example: settings > battery > battery health and charging. if you hold on the top left itll take you to settings or to battery. New tip

Mine dropped to 98% for probably 3 months now with 103 charged cycles. I've noticed it tends to drop faster on 15 pro series.

13 pro max here even with heating issues I’m at 91 percent battery health after 2 years. The heating is weird. It gets HOT on charger if on safari but if I play wild rift it gets warm at best at very high settings

100% with 88 cycles. Got it end of January with the all year hot weather in Malaysia.
15 plus 98% after 142 cycles BUT i lost 2% in two weeks and i got shocked so I limited charging to 80% and removed my case because i also had overheating issues

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and my battery health has gone from 100-91 in a couple of months. It stayed at 100 for about a year, and as soon as it hit 99 it dropped to 91 very quickly. However, it still lasts all day with me using it while at College.

My 14pro max is still at 100% since launch. No MagSafe charging, I don’t let it drop below 20% & only charge to about 83%.

I only replaced my iPhone 14 Pro Max with iPhone 15 Pro Max in March 2024. I only charge once a day in the evening when battery is below 10%. Cycle count is 54. iPhone 14 battery life was 87% after 2yrs.
That jitter in search icon in home screen is also present in 17.4 public release…
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max that I got in January 2023, my battery health reports at 85% and is dropping very fast.
So I got the 14 Pro Max since day one till about a month ago, it was on 100% and today it’s on 96% capacity level. I find it very odd.
A very annoying bug with iOS 17.4.1 is on my iPhone 15 pro max every day once a day my family sharing keeps turning off by its self .
I bought the phone on March and now it’s not more than one month old, but it came to 99% on 26 charging cycles and then 98 on just 36 charging cycles
iPhone 14 Pro user, used everyday as my main device charger every night and for a year and a bit it lost 0% health, updated in the last month and lost 6%.
mine is iPhone 15, regular model 120 8GB I have bought this phone on October 16, 2023 and my cycle count is 257 cycles and my battery health is at 92%, which is worst. I don’t know how it dropped. I even turned on optimised battery charging.
13 Mini 91 % dropped more in the last 2 months. Bought it in May 2023. I guess it's okay since it's been a year. I have an iPhone SE (2022) as well which is at 86% nought that in Mar 2022. Is it possible that this might be a software issue instead? Maybe its not accurate.🤔

Bought the fine woven along with my 15 ProMax. That thing is sitting in a drawer and I’m using a Ringke Onyx. That’s fine woven doesn’t feel good in my hands.
