Today, I reviewed the Cidoo v65, and has some insane specs and sound for the price! And while it was going to be the first perfect keyboard for the price, there was one thing that held it back. Could we fix it in modding? Stay tuned to see the final result!

it is truly the golden age of mechanical keyboards compared to when I first started paying attention in like 2013
This keyboard would have cost well over $500 when I started the hobby lol and people would have gladly paid that
I have the 75% version of this with akko v3 cream blues and it's quickly become my favorite of my 10 boards
I am so obsessed with this keyboard
Noticed that the fn led is always on? Is that intentional? Is there a way to disable it?
I just built this board, and I LOVE the sound and feel, and the one I build is blue, with a gradient blue keycaps with the legends on the side of the keycaps. I really like it, but I really want to use a solid backlight with selectable RBG color, and that is NOT one of the RGB options. Really disappointed that this basic color option isn't there, but other than that, I love this board.
about to buy mode envoy with aluminum plate which would've cost me $266, + keycaps+ stabilizers+ cable which easily be cost $300+.., but this thing is definitely a steal for the price and sound wise is just identical if not better. Not too shabby. I already bought gateron mx silver switches, so this quake matte switches can be swab any time no problem. Glad I stumbled upon your video here on UA-cam..... HOLD UP I GOT ANOTHER 20 DOLLARS OFF ON AMAZON 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I THINK I WILL MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE BY GOING WITH THIS BEAUTY INSTEAD OF mode envoy Thank God indeed!! 🙏
Man i recently collected mine. Absolutely blown away. It exceeded my expectations thoroughly. The sound in multiple videos Ive watched doesnt do it justice AT ALL. Its pretty quiet irl but has a very nice creamy and thocky sound i’d say. The only downside is the spacebar stabs needing a bit of lube or dielectric grease (im yet to do this but i saw someone do it in a video and it removed the bit of rattle it had out of the box) other than that, its an absolute unit and feels premium AF. Idk why someone would purchase a zoom 65 or even a qk65 over this (i’ve felt a qk65 with some everglide clears and its pretty on par with it i’d say out of the box minus the spacebar needing the bit of extra lube/dielectric grease.
Edit: i have the cidoo v75 not the v65
this is like $500 on taobao which is around $65 usd (barebones)
would be good to point out that this keyboard supports pcb mount stabs. So thats a big plus if you wanna upgrade the stabs on this keeb.
I'm new to custom keyboards, so excuse me if this is a stupid question. Do you know how to turn off the FN key backlight? I turn off the backlight, but that key always remains on. In certain parts of your video I also see it on and off.
the manual says the fn light is related to battery level
what's your mic btw?
Would you choose this or your zoom65?
Does the RGB work in Bluetooth mode with the V2?
I thought V2 was supposed to have screw in stabs?
And is this the same PCB as the Cidoo X finalkey V65 R2?

PCB from the orignal V65 and the Finalkey is different than the V65 V2. It doesn't make a major difference but I know they for a fact have different wifi/bluetooth chips. The main microcontroller looks to be the same with only a "Miller" branding on it from both boards. Perhaps the bluetooth chip change is what allowed the RGB to work in bluetooth while not on the original.
What's the grey keycap sir? in the last minute of clip.
is stab screw in compability?
whats the difference between v65 v2 and r2? i really like the case color that you have, the r2 is only available in silver black and red., i like ur off white/warm grey look

yes there is software, VIA is supported for the V65
100% agree about the stabs. The only downfall. No matter I try to fix it, always rattle. Solution buy durock stabs
its not really a big deal since if ur spending like this much for a board might as well get some better stabs

Those are the stock keycaps that come with the keyboard

There’s always the one guy that writes this comment in the classic “build a random board (regardless of whether it’s a quality board or not), then, toss a layer of PE foam on top, and shazam. You’ve got a “marbley” board.

Yup, I was just checking out the three colors, blue pink and green. But imo the gray looks better, and the prebuilt version is worth it as for only 10$ more you get some awesome switches & keycaps.
