SORH 101 - Farmworker Program: Southern Valley Fruit & Vegetable, Inc.

Southern Valley, which is in Colquitt County, is a family-owned-and-operated produce farming, packing, and shipping company that is a well-known and respected employer of agricultural workers, including migratory and seasonal farmworkers. Southern Valley works closely with the Georgia Farmworker Health Program (or GFHP), a statewide program that is housed within the Georgia Department of Community Health’s State Office of Rural Health. In this video, Courtney Hamilton Griffin, Southern Valley’s Director of Operation Support who has served on the GFHP Advisory Board since 2018, speaks about the day-to-day operations at her organization and its important partnership with the Georgia SORH.
