It was a wonderful surprise to discover this German violinist, member of a string quartet family (in fact the father is the viola, she and a brother first and second violin). She plays classic and modern violin, and she also plays the baroque violin with unusual mastery and a very baroque sound. Her rendering of Bach sonata 3 for solo violin is warm, very baroque and technically mature. Her sound reminds me very much of Biber. This recording is really special and lovely.
