In lore ghost leviathans never stop growing so its nice to imagine that somewhere out there is a ghostie 4x bigger than the adults we see in the void that would eat your cyclops as if it were a seamoth

Not That much pain honestly. It takes a while for the first one to spawn too. He probably built the first room and then when they started spawning built the bass from inside. That's what I did on my ghost leviathan base
Pro tip same thing here either get killed doing stuff with nothing on you or just get used to a area then move on to a scary one only one i hate is the warper area even the biggest can be avoided but them
@@tobi5988 did they update prawn suit on full release? Because I've beat Below Zero and can't turn lights off in the prawn suit and I don't remember being able to do it in bases either.
@@Sinsults in Below Zero, there is a new room called the Control Room. If you attach that to your base, there you can turn off the power and lights of any room of your choice. However, the Prawn Suit isn’t able to turn it’s interior lights off.
@@tobi5988 oh yeah, I forgot about the control room. Or as I like to call it, the beacon with some extra functions. From what I remember, you can't just turn off the lights to a room though, you have to disable all power to that room. It is fun coloring bases though.

Yeah, but the most recent version of the game patched that slightly for the Void, since before it would cause all Ghost Leviathans to despawn, due to you no longer being in the Void, according to game files. Now, that's been fixed, so they may disappear for a short time, but eventually they'll come right back to haunt you.
2:31 something about this is so incredibly eerie. A long base ultimately leading up to a little bubble where you just sit and stare at the endless void full of leviathans
The irony is that they will leave once you enter the observatory room as its considered its own biom and ghosts are designed to leave you alone once you "leave the void", so once you enter the dome the game thinks you left the void so the ghost leviathans leave
@@rocketmcnamara2011 i think it does actually, i have a little emergency room on serveral areas on the edge of the map and the leviathans tend to stick around, problem is they tend to glitch into the habitat but it should work
If I remember correctly the ghost leviathan will leave when you enter the observatory since the observatory is it's own biome and the ghost leviathan only goes after players that are in the void biome

Seeing the Ghosts up close relative to your base is a very effective way to put their sheer size into perspective. Those things are ridiculously big. A Reaper is already nearly twice as long as the biggest real life animal on Earth, and the adult Ghost doubles that again.

It is so impressive how big Ghosts are, specially on the void. And I find them very pretty, even a bit cute, like a little big bioluminescent worm. But then they come swimming at you with their mouth open and screaming. That is haunting. Great work, love seeing you build bases on this amazing places.
Terrifying? Hah I dance with my ghost. I just grab my sea glide, go out. And then I just go near em and avoid them. They only do like 40 dmg and I have a room full of medkit fabricators so I’m fine.
I always bring enough resources with me to the primary containment facility to build an entire base right outside the entrance. I also don't take the Cyclops down there at all. Just the PRAWN suit. It's actually easier to evade the sea dragons in the PRAWN suit because you're smaller. Warpers are bloody annoying though. The Observatory didn't really look that cool in the area right outside the facility, but I built a tunnel in the cavern that leads into the space where the Sea Dragon hangs out most of the time by the entrance. In the cavern right before the one the facility is in, an observatory is cool. It looks incredible. However I've noticed that the sea dragon seems to really love to attack it and flood the whole thing constantly. Drives me nuts
I once plunged straight into this place on creative without ever seeing a map because I was convinced there was shit on the other side. Eventually I got lost, and a ghost followed me on the way back to the reefs. It couldn’t kill me, because, you know, creative, and because it was the only other thing out there I found it kind of comforting after a little bit😂
Really good way to get a sense of scale as to how massive these creatures are. Just one of them is almost as big as the entire base. And then you have the bloody Gargantuan Leviathans that can eat these things whole.
This game blew me away. An experience totally unique in my gaming history. Going deeper. The things you see, the fear you felt, and the leviathan in the volcanic area.
The real question is how tf did you have enough time to both build a whole damn compound and decorate it without the glow in the dark 20 ft tall glow sticks eat you

Bro this is badass. I have built bases all over even down by the primary containment facility but I was always afraid the leviathans would actually attack the base itself if they got the chance. Now that I’ve learned they won’t it’s opened a lot of possibilities in my head. This base you made is extremely impressive.

My first play through of this game I never made a base. I’ve been replaying while using this feature constantly because of these videos and I absolutely love it.
I remember my first time visiting the void. I had this brilliant idea of taking the seamoth and driving it as far as it could in the game. Then the PDA came up and said I reached the edge of the carter. Now when this happened I was above the surface. Started to read the entry and then BAM the seamoth gets hit and slips under water and I see this hideous monstrosity. OMG!!!!! I freak out! try to get away and the seamoth gets hit again and explodes! I fall out of the moth and then it's "NOPE." and I quit the game and restarted it at an earlier save.
One of the most terrifying experiences I had in subnautica was for some reason a glow whale (from Below Zero) got somehow stuck inside of my base's vehicle bay: this gigantic thing was stuck glitched in the interior of my base, kept jittering erratically and it kept damaging my base just from the nonstop collisions, and then the lights went out and the water started rushing in, and I was stuck with that gigantic whale in my base and I had to repair the walls. Truly terrifying experience.
I built one of these in Survival on PS4. It took me 18 Respawns, 6 1/2 Hours and several near Heart Attacks. And the Base I built was just a basic Survival Base. This Beauty of a Base must have been literal Hell for you to build
You know what's the scary thing is, the PDA says there might not be a limit to how big they can get. So Lord help us if we ever saw one that was 50% bigger then these ones.
Did you know?: It used to be completely impossible to view Ghost Leviathans from an observatory. This happened because the observatory was its own biome, and entering it would technically mean you weren't in the void, causing the Ghosts to flee.

I believe it still is a biome, they just took out a lot of the characteristics that it would have.

I think this is my favourite Leviathan. It's so beautiful, combining bioluminescence with a highly transparent body was a wonderful choice.

Bro this is badass. I have built bases all over even down by the primary containment facility but I was always afraid the leviathans would actually attack the base itself if they got the chance. Now that I’ve learned they won’t it’s opened a lot of possibilities in my head. This base you made is extremely impressive.

I never built any observatory close to the leviathan, i thought they will destroy it, well i was wrong
For some reason I thought every aggressive animals besides stalkers would destroy bases, but I guess those are actually the ones that do most damage to eat (those cameras must be delicious)

Yeah! Bases are not essential, but you kind of want to build them if you have any ounce of creativity in you.

I remember my first time visiting the void. I had this brilliant idea of taking the seamoth and driving it as far as it could in the game. Then the PDA came up and said I reached the edge of the carter. Now when this happened I was above the surface. Started to read the entry and then BAM the seamoth gets hit and slips under water and I see this hideous monstrosity. OMG!!!!! I freak out! try to get away and the seamoth gets hit again and explodes! I fall out of the moth and then it's "NOPE." and I quit the game and restarted it at an earlier save.

One of the most terrifying experiences I had in subnautica was for some reason a glow whale (from Below Zero) got somehow stuck inside of my base's vehicle bay: this gigantic thing was stuck glitched in the interior of my base, kept jittering erratically and it kept damaging my base just from the nonstop collisions, and then the lights went out and the water started rushing in, and I was stuck with that gigantic whale in my base and I had to repair the walls. Truly terrifying experience.

I built one of these in Survival on PS4. It took me 18 Respawns, 6 1/2 Hours and several near Heart Attacks. And the Base I built was just a basic Survival Base. This Beauty of a Base must have been literal Hell for you to build
It's not that hard. Most of it was built from the safe zone into the Void and then from the inside.
When you went out of the top and the GL was RIGHT there I literally lept up and screamed, my two year old girl went "Uh oh" lol

Did you know?: It used to be completely impossible to view Ghost Leviathans from an observatory. This happened because the observatory was its own biome, and entering it would technically mean you weren't in the void, causing the Ghosts to flee.
