And this is why I say, that the appreciation from a listeners perspective and a appreciation from a producers perspective will always be different. Because hearing this without actually seeing the work (like if you were listening to this on Spotify or another music platform), it's basically like, "whatever, another Generic background EDM song"....but actually sitting here watching how all of it comes together, Not even THAT, THIS is just the final result. Imagine sitting there through every second of that 120 hours, witnessing this all being put together. Your thoughts wouldn't even be on it being generic anymore. It'd be on how complex it was and all the details put in just to MAKE something generic like this. And you'd have to actually step back and REALIZE that in reality, it's generic, giving you an deeper perspective and thought on tracks that actually SOUND complex.
I think we are overthinking this. Auditory complexity is one thing and overproducing a track is another thing. If you spend 120h on a track and it ends up sounding like a generic thing IMO its overproduced. What's the point on spending that amount of time on details no one will get by just listening. For me on almost every genre less is more. I prefer a few things my brain can decypher like psycoacoutic challenges like polyrythms or rumbles than a bunch of randomly placed FXs and eternal building for average drops. As a person who does have a background with music this shit just isn't good, he literally just added a shit ton of unnecessary stuff that you can't even hear in the song to the project for no reason and made it extremely overcomplicated, he could make this with like 12 channels and half of the unnecessary stuff in here

Yeah looks like mostly a bunch of cymbals, sweeps, risers, and automation taking up space. Was expecting to hear something orchestral looking at it, drop is fairly simple. Still sounds good though.
Damn this is so impressive to have so many different elements in the project to sound so seamless together. People look over the fact the insane amount of effort and dedication it takes to create a project like this. Kudos to this producer for all the hard work he put into this and to just give it for free to download! Well done Rolipso!
No one overlooks it. Most people just want to point out how messy this looks. I don’t think most producers let their playlist *THIS* much unorganized professionals or not
The project probably isn't even that complicated. The playlist is just unorganised. That wouldn't be an issue had this guy not used the clickbaity title of "biggest project"
@@urphakeandgey6308 It's unorganized, yes. Though I've been making music in FL Studio since 2014 and this IS definitely a big project file. Its obviously not the BIGGEST project file, no shit, but it is quite impressive nonetheless.
If you're into this kind of music you can actually hear how much effort has been put into this and even if it just sounds like a plain ncs song to you, it's undeniably good. I think this is amazing!
If you were even more into this music, you would have an understanding to the production of EDM. It's not that good. It's extremely generic and basic. It just over used automation sequences and effects and add them as individual tracks. The whole point of this video was to show off a MASSIVE FLP, but not really a good song.
nobody's denying that this track is good and you're not special for thinking it's "amazing" when it's fast food music; it's made everywhere, it's made by producers of varying skill levels at the same exact quality, and it's only popular because people need music that doesn't sound like sneaky snitch in their gta racing shorts you know, in the same way that double cheeseburgers are made everywhere, they're made by cooks of varying skill levels at the same exact quality, and it's only popular because people can't be bothered to cook for themselves
This is actually really good!! I know people are bad talking it for being “simple,” but people say that about Alan Walker, too. And yes, automation clips do count as parts of a song. It takes dedication to automate stuff by hand, and it gives you much more control. That’s what I noticed about this song: Everything was intentional.
@@JH4RPlp I mean, sure, buuuut is was made in 2019. I guess 2019 wasn’t terribly different from now, tho. Idk, I liked the song, and I thought that the insults in the comments were misplaced is all.

@@aabc well yes but actually no, i work in a recording studio as a mixing engineer and, again, i can assure you that a lot of automations are not necessary for a track to be professional, actually a lot of professional tracks are really simple, because that's the key for success. @@idkxxx7532 Let me just say right now that I make music as well, but literally you don't need that many automations and samples to make a song like that. Not hating on the guy or anything and I actually really like the song, but he just made that whole process harder on himself because of the amount of samples and sounds he used.
So many of you are incredibly rude, I respect the guy who did this, he just made a simple video and so many of you *hatefully* comment on it so much, his replies are done so respectfully to those of you who hate as well. So I respect you Rolipso, keep up your work, and don't let those who are unnecessarily *negative* bring you down! ;) *Edit:* in no way am I saying constructive criticism is bad, criticism is a fundamental part for an artist to grow with the audience they are providing their music to, it helps them grow bigger and potentially into the the mainstream. criticism is needed for an artist to get bigger and better, hateful and spiteful comments is what is not needed. Please if you don't like the song that is fine, but try and explain why, just saying something like "this is f--king trash" is not needed, and can affect some artists negatively, so please, all I am saying is be mindful and try and show a little bit of respect. Artists like Rolipso still spend alot of time making stuff like this that *they* seemed to enjoy, all I ask is don't try and make him and others feel bad, show him how he can improve. And in the future to other artists you may not like as well. Anyways 😎 Have a great day everybody!
How are we being rude? It’s not like we’re saying “THIS SONT SUKS!!1!!” or any of that. Just saying that it sounds like a 2012 song (cuz it uses sounds mainly popularized in 2012) and that it’s unnecessarily messy and doesn’t have to be (which is true, kinda feels like false advertising when you make a project that looks like this as the thumbnail when it could be 10 times smaller).
@@LogansDarling oh no, I am not talking about those comments necessarily, but the ones that are directly like "oh this is actually shit", I think constructive criticism is good! But the people who are just saying it's garbage without further explanation I think are the ones who are rude

Yeah looks like mostly a bunch of cymbals, sweeps, risers, and automation taking up space.
Was expecting to hear something orchestral looking at it, drop is fairly simple.
Still sounds good though.

If you were even more into this music, you would have an understanding to the production of EDM.
It's not that good. It's extremely generic and basic. It just over used automation sequences and effects and add them as individual tracks.
The whole point of this video was to show off a MASSIVE FLP, but not really a good song.
@@holyweeb777 💀💀💀
nobody's denying that this track is good and you're not special for thinking it's "amazing" when it's fast food music; it's made everywhere, it's made by producers of varying skill levels at the same exact quality, and it's only popular because people need music that doesn't sound like sneaky snitch in their gta racing shorts

So many of you are incredibly rude, I respect the guy who did this, he just made a simple video and so many of you *hatefully* comment on it so much, his replies are done so respectfully to those of you who hate as well. So I respect you Rolipso, keep up your work, and don't let those who are unnecessarily *negative* bring you down! ;)
*Edit:* in no way am I saying constructive criticism is bad, criticism is a fundamental part for an artist to grow with the audience they are providing their music to, it helps them grow bigger and potentially into the the mainstream. criticism is needed for an artist to get bigger and better, hateful and spiteful comments is what is not needed.

Tbh it sounds normal to me. The key of producing is simplifying things, not making it more complex. With this amount of layers and automation in this project, the track just sounds like a normal NCS music. Check out other house producers, they use very less tracks in the project but it still sounds as wonderful. That's called a good project management, instead of scrambling on tons of layers which add nothing into the track
