    And this is why I say, that the appreciation from a listeners perspective and a appreciation from a producers perspective will always be different. Because hearing this without actually seeing the work (like if you were listening to this on Spotify or another music platform), it's basically like, "whatever, another Generic background EDM song"....but actually sitting here watching how all of it comes together, Not even THAT, THIS is just the final result. Imagine sitting there through every second of that 120 hours, witnessing this all being put together. Your thoughts wouldn't even be on it being generic anymore. It'd be on how complex it was and all the details put in just to MAKE something generic like this. And you'd have to actually step back and REALIZE that in reality, it's generic, giving you an deeper perspective and thought on tracks that actually SOUND complex.

    • @santiagomarcano6354
      @santiagomarcano6354 Рік тому +46

      I think we are overthinking this. Auditory complexity is one thing and overproducing a track is another thing. If you spend 120h on a track and it ends up sounding like a generic thing IMO its overproduced. What's the point on spending that amount of time on details no one will get by just listening. For me on almost every genre less is more. I prefer a few things my brain can decypher like psycoacoutic challenges like polyrythms or rumbles than a bunch of randomly placed FXs and eternal building for average drops.
      People call this EDM but for me, I have never danced on shit like this.

    • @human.skyscraper
      @human.skyscraper Рік тому +24

      Nope. Still just a generic edm song. Doesn't matter how much effort went into this it's just not good. If I was an outsider looking in on the creation of this track for the full 120 hours, not once would I think about how "impressive" the arrangement is or anything along those lines. My whole thought process would be strictly about which tech youtuber is gonna use this as background music for their next video. Lol.

    • @WeDidAsk
      @WeDidAsk Рік тому +11

      As a person who does have a background with music this shit just isn't good, he literally just added a shit ton of unnecessary stuff that you can't even hear in the song to the project for no reason and made it extremely overcomplicated, he could make this with like 12 channels and half of the unnecessary stuff in here

    • @bitchesihate
      @bitchesihate 10 місяців тому +5

      Sorry no, all the producers in here are clowning him LMFAO how do you overcomplicate an FL20 project so bad that it becomes simple and generic. Its like phase cancellation but for projects, the more bass you put does not equal harder bass

    • @SaltSpirits
      @SaltSpirits 10 місяців тому +3

      “120 hours of work” also means something very different to every producer. Someone like Noisia putting 120 hours into a track is a LOT different than someone who is just figuring things out. Important to keep in mind when numbers like that come up
      i also feel like there’s a lot about this project file that could be cleaned up. if it was more organized I don’t think it would look as complex as it is.

So I respect you Rolipso, keep up your work, and don't let those who are unnecessarily *negative* bring you down! ;)
    *Edit:* in no way am I saying constructive criticism is bad, criticism is a fundamental part for an artist to grow with the audience they are providing their music to, it helps them grow bigger and potentially into the the mainstream. criticism is needed for an artist to get bigger and better, hateful and spiteful comments is what is not needed. Please if you don't like the song that is fine, but try and explain why, just saying something like "this is f--king trash" is not needed, and can affect some artists negatively, so please, all I am saying is be mindful and try and show a little bit of respect. Artists like Rolipso still spend alot of time making stuff like this that *they* seemed to enjoy, all I ask is don't try and make him and others feel bad, show him how he can improve. And in the future to other artists you may not like as well.

    This is actually really good!! I know people are bad talking it for being “simple,” but people say that about Alan Walker, too. And yes, automation clips do count as parts of a song. It takes dedication to automate stuff by hand, and it gives you much more control. That’s what I noticed about this song: Everything was intentional.

    80% of of the commenters don't have a single clue about sound engineering and mastering. This is one of the best mixes. Every element works together so well. There is no single sound left out.
    To the critics: Of course you didn't like the track... but that's personal preference. You just looked past the hours upon hours of effort of mixing complicated sounds to such a simple track.
    And I'd say: This felt studio-produced by a professional/s. Seamlessly underrated. Thumbs up and thanks for this amazing track!
