Thank you. That is a lot of information to be aware of to be sure that the tracking works like you need it too.
Some very good and well meaning technical info which had it been a little less cluttered with random thoughts would have made a great video, however you need to streamline and process your thoughts better, before putting them to video, because unfortunately by the time everyone has worked out what you meant to say to protect their property they would have fallen asleep and their vehicles would’ve been stolen.
How to go through the apn settings. This is a bit vague in your vid. I've tried the settings as you described but I can't link phone to unit. I keep getting the message grtq not enabled.
Listening to your instructions, I don't think I'm gonna want a cup of tea when my bikes off down the road.

Personally I would write a pre video script...........and also add some key notes. I thank you for making this video but it really needs some polishing. This is not a bad criticism but hopefully meant to help you. The main information was very important I really hope you could present this again.....edited.....or maybe a new version. My tk905 can't wake up from sleep after a few days. Always replay with 'this number canot be each at this time, try again'. What the point having big battery if cant use at all.
Now i have to call the tracker every 12 hours to make sure tracker still working.
I think the issue with the IMEI number expiring has been fixed. I just recently purchased a TK906 bike tracker and the IMEI expiration was set to 200 years from today. So, I don't think this should happen on new devices and you don't need to pay for extending it. Just check the site as mentioned in this video to verify. Although the App does show it as well in the Device info section.
Cheers Chris, I just fell foul of the 85 day rule with Lebara so make sure you use the phone or apply a top up at regular intervals.

How do I get an account for the app? As it doesn’t let me register. It just asks for a username and password. But I don’t have one?
My gps keeps saying offline and it’s on the place where it supposed to be on so I’m gonna have trouble getting it back
Your GPS has sleep modes. One by time and another by not registering any movement.
For you to access the web app or the phone app, you need to first wake up the tracker with an SMS or a call. Example: text command to check status or location. After you've woken up the device with an sms\call and if the GPRS mode is on and well configured (APN, etc), only then you can use the App.
If you want the tracker always active, you have to inactivate sleep mode. On mine, and because I didn't change the original password, is: sleep123456 off

hey mate , I want to use as well a lebara sim card for TKSTAR TK905 , with a 5Gb data , is the 10£ bundle , and the question is other , I want to send this tracker on car with my belongings with a driver , who will go from UK to Romania , and I need to know if I still can track in real time the Tracker after will go outside from UK , and call the device from a lebara number I will need extra credit on the Tracker sim card ? thanks for your time
I put the sim in. I can't get any response after my texts. I'm not sure what to text to? The sum card phone or id number I don't know the phone number for the sim or text the device id? This wasn't clear in your other video
My device keeps saying device not enabled when I look in the app updates. I don't think I set up the APN correctly. I followed their commands (i.e. gprs123456, apn123456 content) but I can't tell if I'm supposed to have found some special APN number that I should be writing in place of "content." Can someone walk me through how to get the APN so I can get the app to work? Thanks.

What an awful disjointed video. So here's some advice for YOU Edmund Ironside.
First - write a script - at the beginning state what you are going to talk about - structure the script in sections and at the beginning of each, give it an "in vision" title. - Do not jump to the next section randomly.
Two prime examples: The APN; say concisely what it means, why the device's sim needs it - then how to set up a VPN - then go onto its communication abilities.
2nd example, before talking about the TK Star website, give the viewer it's URL (we're not interested in how you lost your imei etc). Then say it requires payment and then what are it's capabilities.
There's much more I could add but basically you have a lot of useful info here - but it needs structuring! And finally, stop fiddling with the sim with your hands - its distracting! Only handle something if it is going to form part of your presentation
What can i do if i have a tkstar t915 and the light is red
I’m familiar with the set up of this device as I have purchased a few before so I consider myself well versed. That is until this latest one, I have a blue flashing but the yellow is solid. It will not send me or bounce back anything at all. I can’t even register it, nothing. Any thoughts?
Hey did u ever figure out the problem i have the same issue and I can’t get a message back from the tracker and it’s flashing blue with solid yellow
@@JeremyWarren-dm9go yes I did. Unfortunately they haven’t advanced with our phone and the model I have required a 2G sim. It’s basically a dinosaur. It may work in another country I don’t know but not in the states.
This video is a perfect example of what not to do when presenting information. The speaker has a very unorganized thought process. It is very distracting having to reason how some of the comments he makes are related to the issue at hand. Save time and move on to the next video.
I set my Streetwize SWTRACK1 Tracker up per the Manual. when I text it or call it I don't get a message back.left light is solid green and right light is flashing blue every three seconds which I think is normal.tried e-mailing Streetwize but they haven't come back yet.im on a 02 pay as you go sim only no data.anyone any ideas on what to do next as I have tried everything.

Hmmm. so I just bought a smaller TKSTAR the TK1000 off amazon loaded a new data filled giffgaff sim, all working confirmed 4g data on my iPhone, setup all the APN stuff confirmed working with the final Check123456 sms and it reported back all ok with the same IMEI number as on the back of the device. However the TKstar IOS app will not let it log in and it says "IME/ID or password error??? Now passoword is 123456 as per instructions and my IME/ID is 4109 xxxxxxxx as confimed by the Check123456 sms report back as APN working.
Could it be that this brand new purchase off Amazon already has a 1 year expired IME/ID number and I need to pay the $10 lifetime fee? I could understand getting into the app and nothing working but I cant even log into the app at this point. have they changed the server? My instructions say to use 2.tkstargps.net as the server web address. This is also the case trying to log into the website page too, says IME/ID is wrong?

Does the SIM card have to be activated or it doesn’t matter ?
Before I hide the device I'd put the sim card in a phone and make sure you can receive calls and you can view google maps and maybe a little bit of web browsing. When I bought mine the sim card needed to be activated which meant me calling a number so I had to put it in a phone.

@@user-io2fp1ys7w If I'm honest I don't think it's of much use if you are only using it to track one bike, the web interface is geared towards a car hire type company but to use it you need to renew with them. To use the tracker to get a location is dependant on having a SIM with credit for sending the text and if you are using GPRS (for a more accurate location) then you would need data or a bolt on when required.

It relates to the SIM card, if you have got a response from the tracker it's the ID in the return message.

Mine came with a Lebara sim card, in an earlier video, I mentioned that I had to take the sim card out and put in a phone to activate it.
Edmund Ironside yeah I got that part. I took the sim out activated it in my phone and it’s not working on gps.... it’s still locating MY phone and not the gps. It says it’s offline and when I text commands there no reply.
Have you got the good manual (link in description) make sure you have data on your sim plan and you have sent the GPRS on command

Can you help my TKStar tracker (Same as in video) sometimes when I test it at home it will not accept being called returns message "Please try later" I know the Giffgaff signal is good as I have a O2 mobile showing good signal (Giffgaff runs on O2). the tracker is fitted under the car bonnet with power supply connected to battery so its allways on. To get it to work I have to disconnect and reconnect power supply. Not possible when car has been stolen which is the main reason for having tracker. Any ideas how overcome this problem?
One of the things I did before I sighted my tracker in its current location was made sure a normal phone can be called from the same location, can you call a normal phone placed in the same situation as the tracker? Maybe worth leaving it out but powered for a bit to see what happens - that would tell you if it's an issue with the tracker or an issue with where it is hidden.

12:16 here was one point anyway. U have to pay for continued tracking service after a year (which they don't inform u about when u buy the device). I had heard some rumors about the before, but here it was clearly confirmed
