nice video GC, love a bit of XCO :) Ben smashed it from the start, top lad....it had to be full gas from you and then hold on - no other way mate! well done pushing through and to a decent result in the end!
So good to see you performing well again 💪👍👍. G, you've got lens-cleaning down to a fine art... ok, you've just wiped mud onto your lens literally the moment I'd typed that. The first wipe was perfect, I was wondering if that was all the wiping practice you've had recently! But now you've wiped a big chunk of mud on a clean lens I'm sorely disappointed... 😄
Have you ever used the tactic of trying the “don’t go full beans from the start” whilst GoPro’d up? When you’re not expecting to be rubbing at the front obv. Anyway you’ve a bit of room for when you reach the 40+ group 👍😉
Nope it’s against my beliefs to not go full beans 😂 it’s the best part of the race! Im also a big believer in every race holding on for a little bit longer to get the legs used to the pace and eventually you can hold the pace
Yes a little bit. When it’s muddy it’s not easy keeping the camera clean while doing 400w up a hill but it’s worth it to have the footage as I enjoy making the videos 👌 I also spend time vlogging when I could use the time to warm up/fuel my race but it’s all part of it and I can’t imagine the performance gains would be that big 🤔
I had mezcals on as the day before the course was dry and the practice lap was mostly dry but a Barzo would have been a better option 👌 I definitely had a few lucky moment where the bike was sliding sideways and I managed to save it 😂
Smoooth! Way to go, mate! Keep it rollin'!
Thanks for the shout outs buddy, look forward to seeing you at the next round 😁
Great race, it’s cool to see the terrain you are racing on 👍
Brilliant, your fitness is getting there, well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It’s the only way full gas and it felt good to be back racing somewhere near the front for a split second 😂
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling love it - never change mate! full send :)
Well done Giorgio

Thanks 🙌 haha it’s the most stressful part of any race trying to keep the lens clean 😂
Ben's rapid hes going places 🤔he could go far
It’s a shame he’s going to the dark side and racing road next year 👎
@GiorgioCoppolaCycling you might win a race then when hes gone 🤣

@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling Spoken like a true professional 👍
Do they do a junior u8 race if I sing up to get embarrassed my 4yr old will want some 🤣
Unfortunately they don’t have a category for the youngsters in this series but I’m pretty sure the southern XC series do in the summer 👌
Does vlogging the races effect your performance? Thanks for the post.

What width handlebars do use george, as I need to get some shorter ones.
760 👍
What tires did you run for the wet?

@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling very nice I’ve been enjoying the new vittoria peyote but I found them quite lacking in particularly muddy situations
@ interesting! I am keen to try them as they look a bit faster than the mezcals for summer racing 🤔
Having to wipe the go pro is not optimal for the race performance
I would of won if I didn’t have to clean the GoPro 🤷♂️😂
