I actually owned this on a DVD. First time I saw it, I never knew it was a video game. The way the animation played out, the camera angles, the movement of the characters, it looked so much like a video game. Many years later, I found out that they used the game to make the series. Amazing work

In the TSCC, Skynet did create a lethal virus that did kill quite a large number of humans. However the Resistance managed to find someone who was immune to the virus and from her was able to create an antidote and thus made the virus useless.

My theory is: There are 2 John Connor's. The first John Connor (The one in the future) sacrificed himself by basically erasing himself from the future when Reese became the biological father of the new John Connor. That 2nd John (the one we see in T2 and T3) was raised and trained by Sarah Connor who was aware of what was to come. That is why a man named "John Connor" eventually leads the resistance to victory. It doesn't mean it's the same guy! Think about it, once the first terminator and Reese were sent back, NOTHING in the future even happened yet so EVERYONE who was involved in the future war is reborn again except for John who was conceived by another man (Reese).

Holy shit is my memory bad. I thought the animation was so much better I couldn't believe that foggy memory of a movie I was recalling was actually a gameplay machinima.
First of all, I fully admit that even though there are game engines out there that let people create videos like this, I could never do it. So kudos for that. But something that doesn't make sense - how does a computer A.I. get a straight shot on a target, the target not zig-zag, but it misses every shot? Actually, that sounds like they modeled the A.I. after me - same thing happens when I play FPS games. lol
our neighbors recently gave us a big collection of dvds, and there was this disk that came in a sealed plastic thing, i opened it and found a strange disk with this series on it. might be a strange bootleg because it had chinese text on it.
