Any reason this wouldn’t work above the connection to the dash just to get a bit more room in the cab? Was thinking of going just above the ears that bolt the column in.
This is very informative thank you for sharing I have watched this video a couple of times to help me with the 69 I’m trying to convert from manual to power steering, also working on converting the drum brakes to disc brakes by swapping the I beams from a mid 70s. Do you know anything about the proportioning valve and the master cylinder for the swap?
Thanks for the feedback, really glad you found it helpful! Your best bet is to find a ‘73-‘79 parts truck and take everything from that including the master and proportioning valve, or just purchase the parts for those years from your local parts house! Thanks for watching!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I’m about to have a fab shop do this for me on my 68’. I’m confused about measurements though. Was 2” the ticket or did you end up taking more or less? Did you have any trouble with your column after the mod?

Hi Adam. The 2” worked out perfectly!
No issues at all. Everything fit nicely and it was well worth the effort!
Thanks a ton for the video and the answer to my questions! I really appreciate it 🤘
You’re very welcome Adam! 😎
Did you have to do this to go power steering
I missed what type of gearbox is being swapped to ?
Hi Robert!
We swapped to the Saginaw steering box that Ford used in the ‘69 & up F-100’s.
Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
