One issue here is that Mantelmount recommends 3" from the bottom of the TV to the bottom of the vertical brace. Due to the low position of the VESA holes on the LG OLEDs, there is only 2.75" on this install using the furthermost holes available on the vertical braces. Because of that, the TV is mounted slightly higher on the wall, and thus you can see the very bottom of the bottom wall plate exposed when the TV is in the normal elevated position. In this case, it's not that bad, but you'll see it if you look for it.
Thanks for the video! It's odd that it takes a deep dive into youtube to find simple info about the travel of the descent on these mantelmounts. I bought one and hope it works out.
How high above the fireplace did you put the lower bracket. In the installation manual it says minimum 3" + 2" so 5" but in the video, it looks smaller than that.
Have you mounted a MM540 such that the TV is centered between the ceiling and the mantel? The calculations in the manual to do this don't make sense to me, and tech support says their calculations may be up to 2" off. I'd love advice from someone who has successfully done this. Thanks!

Hired infinite tech services after seeing this video. Both Freddy and Vlad were extremely professional. I have zero complaints.

How far from the wall is the TV when its fully up. Essentially, the closest point to the wall?
Yes please tell us how far away from the wall is it ..
