    I'd love a normal one but don't usually get snowed in where I live yet it just happened and now everywhere is sold out too. So hard to go anywhere the last two days especially being away from town and even now that things are starting to open up they're all gone and sold out. Sometimes Jimmy riggin is the only way. Thanks for sharing!

    Great idea! Thank you! And I want to recommend an awesome outdoor faucet cover that thick and insulated very well! I think that will do the better job to protect outdoor faucet in the harsh winter. If you want to test this item for free (or maybe you wanna show an amazing video to compare ), please let me know, THANKS!

    I had a contractor that didn’t know what he was doing and he installed a basement brass spigot on my front porch and it sticks way way out. Im thinking, rather than pay $150.00 to reinstall it, just insulate it like your doing, what do u think?

      Katina Botten the other spigot on the other side of my house is just like that. Yes it’s been working for me for a few years now. You can go out and spend 5-10 bucks each on some covers or just use some 2lt bottles. You loose the ones you buy anyway.

    good video, but how do you relieve the faucet from pressure building in very cold temps? usually, you hav to let some water drip out, so this method will trap water and freeze inside the bottle , right? thanks!

    • @ryanlphipps81
      @ryanlphipps81  3 роки тому

      Never had the faucet bust. Water in the faucet warms up from the inside. I would guess if you where gone for the winter and didn't have your heat on in the house I could see dripping it would work both ways. Keeping it dry and insulated been working for me. Sorry for the late communication.

      @@ryanlphipps81 what abot making a half inch hole in the bottom of the bottle for drainage, directly lined up with the spicket, and opening the spicket a notch to relieve pressure?

      @@mml1224 They sell faucet covers for 99 cents at Walmart. Now that being said, you are just worrying about the faucet the pipes coming from the house won't freeze. The only time you gotta worry about a pipe coming from inside freezing is if you live in a trailer mobel home and then you wanna wrap the pipes in automatic electric heat wire/cable to keep from freezing and busting pipes. I just started a channel and posted a faucet cover and I'm gonna be doing another video about it too. Good luck.

      @@jasonritter2492 it’s already snowing sleeting and freezing out there, didn’t get faucet covered before all that started, had outdoor faucet on drip, is it safe to keep it dripping?

    Used Clorox wipes container put towels inside and foil paper, and drill it to the wall. Wish I would saw this, since doesn’t require drilling.
