Wow! I’m so happy I did my research before purchasing. I will now shop with UGG since 1974. I will be telling everyone that I know the truth. So many people myself included have wondered why our feet “hurt” or why they boots don’t last. Such a scam!! Thank you so much for all your hard work!!! New customer from USA
I wish he had won the case. I prefer Ugg Australia boots because of the way they're made. I try to only support quality products by small businesses that operates ethically and sustainably.
I had a pair of Australian made Uggs and they lasted years. They finally died so last winter I ordered some cheap Chinese ones. They didn’t even see the season out. Learnt my lesson, just ordered a new pair from these guys based on recommendations.
Is this the same company from the man Eddie Oygur? I would like to buy his product I have never brought Ugg boots in my life and I live in the US I found out about his brand and how it was establish in 1974 and everything thing is hand made. I would love to purchased authentic shoes. I love hand made things because it’s love and everything that is made.
The reason they got sued is because people in the USA managed to order Uggs from them. Deckers has a trademark on Uggs almost everywhere except Australia where it's a generic term.

It's consumer confusing. I purchased Uggs years ago marked " made in Australia " . They don't last. Then noticed outsourced to China....don't last but still why over priced £170 plus. I now learn Uggs made in Australian are owned by Dickies a huge USA company who have Trade marked the name Ugg

I love them, everyone I know does too.. That being said if you sell with no rights to the name, it's kinda on you. You'll gain nothing fighting. Change the name to RUG BOOT'S or something before its too late......
Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. We have the trademark to our name UGG Since 1974 here in Australia but unfortunately we do not have the trademark in the US or anywhere outside Australia or NZ for that matter. Back in the 70s, the word "ugg" was well known in Australia as a generic word for a sheepskin boot and all of the Australian manufacturers agreed that no one company should have the right to that name - just like a cafe cannot trademark the word "coffee" or a car manufacturer cannot trademark the word "car". So, that might give you some background as to why the name was not adequately protected back then. What ultimately transpired is that the trademark was granted to a US company in the US, which is the start of the slippery slope when UGGs made here in Australia became harder and harder to come by. Almost 50 years on, Australian manufacturers have still been unable to reclaim the name outside of Australia and the "UGG" brand as people know it throughout Europe and the US remains American owned and continues to import their boots from countries throughout Asia rather than manufacture in Aus. Hoping we can make you a pair of our Aussie made UGGs one day. Kind Regards UGG Since 1974 www.ugggsince1974.com.au
