I placed mine with the bolts forward. Easy to get to in the feild if something happens. I'll be able to use a power ratchet. And most importantly I can look underneath to inspect and see if any of the bolts are coming loose or backing off. I would hate for one to come loose not know it and have it catch something while I'm steering going down the road

It’s a lot easier to tighten the bolts from the front for me at least. Does it matter as far as functionality?
That’s a really great point. I’ve never thought of that. I don’t see why that would make a difference. The casting is still the same
