- Since the October 7th attacks last year, Toronto police have reported an increase in hate crimes. Yesterday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre visited a synagogue in North York and place the blame at the feet of the Trudeau Government.

The average private medicine plan in Canada covers 12 000 medicines. The average public plan covers 5000 medicines. Any government plan essentially means a 60% cut in your medicine coverage.
This idea that gradually making specific drugs 100% gov covered will somehow eliminate non overlapping coverage has to be one of the dumbest crapservative talking points.
I think we should cover permanent fixes tho like for example lazy eye with dischoptic therapy can be fixed or almost completely yet it is not covered by Canada even tho it would help and save Canadians thousands of dollars over a lifetime

I was affected by Wynn's proposal in Ontario years ago. Her mandate caused my medication to no longer be covered. I couldn't afford the $250 a month for it so I went to a less effective, but covered, medication. My heart attack happened less than 6 months later. The proposed medicare program will make millions of Canadians worse off in the long run because its generic equivalency mandates and substitution requirements.
This government does not care whether canadians die...they only care about money for themselves.
This is misinformation. Generic drugs are chemically equivalent to the original brand names. Other companies can make them when the patent expires. It happens ALL THE TIME and invariably results in savings to the consumer. If you need confirmation, ask your pharmacist.

For example i use an inhaler called breo, it is expensive as hell but there is no noname option right now. Now i could take flovent (what i used to take) which is way cheaper and does help with my asthma but not nearly as well as the breo

Lowered small business taxes and lowered corporate taxes, which helped boost the economy during the recession. I know economic policy is hard for liberals but when corporations taxes are increased they just pass that on to the consumer. Harper made life more affordable for Canadians. He also increased our oil and gas production which made gas cheaper and boosted our economy. He also helped the military rebuild for the Afghan war which I was a part of. I got a massive pay raise during my time in the army from New benefits he put in place and.boosted my benefits from veterans affairs. Please name one thing besides weed that trudeau has done thats actually helped Canadians.

These hate crimes are in Canada because the message is, it's ok to believe any crazy thing and we are supposed to celebrate it. Government coverage (at least at the provincial level) does things like forces you to purchase generic instead of brand name (and doctors will say some serious conditions require the brand name), limit the amount of doses you can access at any given time (for example, I usually pick up a 90-day supply but for some reason, I was forced to only pick up a 30-day supply one month with ZERO EXPLANATION), and they also refuse to cover some medications for chronic conditions, even if needed long-term (some mental health medications come to mind). Government coverage really doesn't mean full coverage so, single payer is really bizarre.

This is the issue....increase in population size without building infracture and financial supports and the time to implement change. WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH JAILS TO HOUSE CRIMINALS. God Bless Pierre. Pierre is wrong about coverage. My mom is diabetic and she does not have heath coverage and one of her pills is $346 alone. I have to pay this expense out of pocket every 3 months alongside all of my moms other drugs. 90% of Canadians certainly don't have "health coverage".

I checked the box that I want to pay for my drug plan when I applied to retire from my last job.
